Hey guys, I need some recommendations.
I'm looking for something within last 5 years or so that is slow, and adventurous.
Fighting shouldn't be the focus (as in full episodes just focusing on a fight).
Maybe something like a group of people going around the world and meeting interesting people, or maybe a treasure hunter. I'm not really sure how to describe what I'm looking for but anything ideas are welcomed. I'm not looking for comedy though.
Secondly, looking for anime based on cooking. This one I'm more flexible with in terms of release date.
Thank you so much.
Very different kinda show, but Doctor Who serials have used the "fixed point in time" technobabble before. The ones that make it work, however, are the ones that explain why that fixed point in time is necessary for the universe to continue.[Steins;Gate]
The problem is that it's completely arbitrary.
"You can change this, you can change that, you can even change the circumstances of Mayuri's death (the day she died, too), but Mayuri's death itself? No, you can't change that. Why does Mayuri's death matter more than, say, Nae's trauma? Or even the consequences of Okabe's time jumps on the insect world of Tôkyô, really (no reason to be anthropocentric)? Because."
"Serious" time travel plots either pick a model where you can't change anything at all (the time traveler didn't change anything but merely played his part in the past), or a model where you can change anything you want because you end up in a new, separate timeline where time paradoxes aren't an issue.
Seirei no Moribito.Hey guys, I need some recommendations.

Should I skip on Gurren Lagann Movie 2 if want to remain pure, Jexhius?I don't particularly think that adding 'another fight' necessarily improves a story, much like the additional action in the Macross Plus Movie don't make it better than the OVA version.

My Little Tutu: Friendship is Ballet 09:
Mr. Cat is such a lolicon.
So maybe he's not a lolicon, he's just into ballerinas! That's legal, I guess.thats not fair
he wanted to marry the dancing troupe lady!
though their ages are all completely unknown because of the art style

thats shopped right?
i dont remember it looking that derp
I'm not sure if I should read this sentence as a piece of compliment or derision.I wasn't terribly enticed by the idea of heavy focus on pantyshots, even if allegedly in the service of metacommentary on pantyshots & the state of the world today.
Then Reg said he hated it recently.
Also, I've no idea what it's about.

What the hell is this abomination?
You still haven't watched it?Should I skip on Gurren Lagann Movie 2 if want to remain pure, Jexhius?
I should mention that I thought the first movie was a magnificent waste of time. Pretty visuals and music though.
So after 1200 posts or so . . .
. . . I think we can all hail the start of the cajun era.

Gundam Seed HD 01:
This is not a commentary on the show, I've already seen it all. I just wanted to mention how this show is a perfect example of how shows in the early age of computer coloring/filming don't transition to HD as well as shows that were originally shot on film. Something like the original Tenchi Muyo OVA looks great in HD because they had original film they could simply clean up and rescan. Sure it's not as perfect as stuff shot with widescreen HD in mind like modern anime, but at least it cleans up well.
Like a lot of the earlier shows colored in computers and rendered at lower res, you get a lot of shots that look, well, fuzzy. ESPECIALLY the character/mech outlines. It really sucks for a lot of anime from the late 90s - early 00s era that no matter what you do, they're going to look like shit in HD for the most part. :/
Of note, the ending song was slightly remixed at the end for some reason. Dunno if it's a new recording or whatever, but it was definitely a bit different.
Which anime should I finish first? Mushishi, Samurai Champloo, or Welcome to the NHK?
Don't make me watch Nisemonogatari. Please don't.
Hmm? Why are you making it out as if that's what that pic's trying to do? If anything that pic should be making you not want to watch Nisemonogatari. Now if it were a Senjogahara or Kanbaru gif maybe.Don't make me watch Nisemonogatari. Please don't.
Shit,I didn't even make it to 10 posts![]()
That is something to celebrate.
There's no point watching Precure now that Heartcatch is over.Clearly, no one has better hair than the Smile Precure:

How could I forget: Earth Girl Arjuna is an important work exploring, as one of its many rich themes, the moral nature of the food supply. Burgers are a recurrent motif.
Itadakimasu~
I-I have a nakama now!I heeded your warnings for we are ikunibros.
ALL THIS PEER PRESSURE I CAN'T CONTROL ITDude, Gurren Lagann might be my favorite anime of all time. Watch the 2nd movie (or at least the last 20-30 minutes).
Wasn't she the girl thatHmm? Why are you making it out as if that's what that pic's trying to do? If anything that pic should be making you not want to watch Nisemonogatari. Now if it were a Senjogahara or Kanbaru gif maybe.
BartenderI'm trying to think of food-related anime that aren't battle shounen but I'm drawing a blank. Hrm.

Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere. One of the best shows of last season.
he or we?
I don't know if it makes sense to call Steins;Gate a 'sleeper hit'. It's based on an extremely popular and widely praised visual novel that's sold something in the region of 300,000 unit and there was lots of excitement for the anime version.
But... I hate Akio.United by our love of penguins & Akio.
Wait, everyone loves those things.
That's pretty true. I wrongly figured Steins got no play because of the hype devouring beast that was MPD. It seems that way here on GAF, at least.
United by our love of penguins & Akio.

You'd guess wrong, all the art is shitty. It's also not show of the season either but you probably did correctly guess that.I'm guessing the rest of the show doesn't have art that shitty, because hot damn that is bad.
Ugh. That's like the opposite of hot, it's cold.Wasn't she the girl that? That was hot.got tentacle'd
GAF is not representative of the mainstream of anything.!
