It's not that I look white. I look pale. I just came from PR after 3 months and I did not tan at all. So yeah, no dice lol.

I've been formulating a theory recently (and this is going to sound incredibly bitter but I don't mean it to) that people are predisposed to date within their race, not because of genetics or anything like that, but because that's the way society matches us together.

I've dated women that have admitted that, when I asked them out, there was a moment of hesitation because of my race. It makes me wonder if there are women who have turned me down, or otherwise would have considered me a potential match, that backed off because of my race.

I have never actually dated someone of my own race, but I think that's because I grew up in the American south and that's barely possible most of the time. My idea of what I consider attractive is probably a result of that context in which I went to school and made friends. I have family up in New York that were essentially raised in community mosques and went to all the bengali dinner parties and stuff and date almost exclusively within their own race.

I don't think anyone's secretly racist or anything, but I think a lot of people have a moment of puzzle pieces not fitting together in their brain when approached with a situation like that.

Ah got you. Yea seems you are like on the extreme side lol. I'm like in between tan and "light skinned"(not white either).

My brother is "lighter" than me so he looks white a lot of the times. Some of my family ranges from light skin like me to to really california tan(lol). Thankfully we don't go shit talking other family members due to their skin tone. We just hate each other in general, hehe.

What's this regarding? Pardon my ignorance. I don't come here that often but I'd be a shame if it's for certain users and thier posting behaviors or maybe the topic about skin color?

My family is split between "white" and "maximum tan". No in-betweens lol.

It's only partially that! ;) The other, more important part is that I'm truly awful at it and don't want to put the time and effort to where I could actually enjoy playing those games.

My goal this year (and in the future) is to buy less games, but buy ones that I can play for a very long time. I've actually barely played any Monster Hunter game, but I like what I played of Freedom Unite (I just hate my PSP-1000 so I don't play it much) and I'm buying Tri soon.

Without a doubt. I don't wanna go too much into it in this thread, but if you are of "fair" skin, you're statistically deemed more desirable by a landslide amongst society.

Tri looks like complete ass on an HDTV, if you have one. At least it does on mine. As a result, I've barely touched the game.
