The problem for me is that I'm worried he just might laugh at me or insult me for being gay or something. There's this guy who used to work with us who was gay and he would always call him a bunch of derogatory terms whenever he passed by. Plus, he's friends with people who openly hate gay people (I'm surprised he's friends with them to be honest). I want to tell him just to know what he meant, but I don't want to bring on a bunch of "dudebro" coworkers making fun of me every time I work. Work is the one place I don't get treated like complete shit (at least since all the people that hated me quit).

Honestly, I would just let this go and focus on your studies.

It's not unusual to become friends with your supervisor, or for your supervisor to go out of his or her way to help you. I wouldn't read too much into the situation on the basis that he is acting friendly towards you; some of my friends will go out for lunch and drinks with their supervisors.

Yeah. In Italy professors are usually either old men or MILFs, so for gay people it's unlikely to find someone to have a crush btw, thanks for the advice. I did see this one Asian guy in a red flannel shirt but he looked like he was with someone or looking for someone. It wasn't until the end of the night I guess he wasn't. When he left the dance floor (he didnt dance at all, just standing by the wall) I glance and smile at him but he turned his head and left... I don't think i can go out again even now i am beating myself up inside. So many couples that i felt so ashamed of myself. Things worked out for my friend, she got a number from a supposedly straight girl. Then again she has tons of luck and experience meeting women. I am the ugly guy in the room, i told her. Even drinking didn't help but she said i looked like i was having a good time which is why some guy from ohio was asking about me. I was trying to cheer her up because she broke up with her girlfriend 2 days before new years. Drinking rum and coke and I am still not at ease with myself...

I guess so. I told my friend I don't notice anything because i assume i am horrid looking. I haven't shaved or cut my hair in 5 weeks. I just threw on a polo shirt and a pair of jeans that was on the floor. Lost of times I wish I could give up this gayness in me to people who actually use it, who are comfortable with themselves.
