It's point differential when you were on the floor.

ie. You play 35 minutes and your team scored 85 to the other team's 80, you are +5.

Your backup plays 13 minuutes and the team scores 15 to their 25. He is a -10.

Your team lost 100-105

It'd be a salary dump. Why pay Ridnour when you have Rubio contributing and Barrea off the bench? Can a smaller contract be traded for a bigger trade exception?
