Back from vacation, what did I miss?

Poor kid, he must have somehow created a hole in the turf and died.

ESPN actually reported that he couldn't speak to reporters because he was sobbing in the locker room.

Was at the game yesterday. Great victory for our players, fans, and coaches. Unfortunate that we apparently killed Bluemax's dog in the process.

Love my Ducks.

Sounds like officially, it's official that Mike Stoops is staying at FSU (w/ Pay Raise).

Sorry Auburn, but your Defensive Coordinator is in Another Castle.

The only sure bets in college sports is Toledo and the over and Boise State straight-up at home.

Thank god Ohio State got that last Touchdown, I had $700 on them +8, covered and one that one. Made 5 bets in vegas while I was there, only one I lost was when Green Bay lost their game.

I don't know must about college football, so I got to ask. Why do they have 11 million bowl games, and not just a Superbowl type of event?

Oh man we dont want to go down this rabbit hole.

But to make it simple and sum it up in one word:

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$MONEY$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Just learned that since OSU broke their streak with the loss to Florida, FSU now has the longest active streak of seasons with a winning/even record, since 1975.

We also have the longest active bowl appearance streak and are only a few years away from the out-right bowl appearance streak.

Also I was at the Champs Bowl and it sucked except for the last quarter. FSU D crushed ND the whole game and thankfully the offense woke up in time for the win.

So I just did a quick and dirty look at Pac 12 returning starters (using Rivals most likely terrible depth charts):

AZ
Off: 5
Def: 4

ASU
Off: 6
Def: 6

Cal
Off: 6
Def: 5

Colorado
Off: 4
Def: 6

Oregon
Off: 6 (or 7 depending upon how you look at it)
Def: 5 (I think this is wrong though because the Rivals depth chart shows Gildon/Harris as the starters at corner)

Or. State
Off: 8
Def: 8

Stanford
Off: 4
Def: 7

ucla
Off: 7 (although might as well call it 6 because there's no way Prince is the starter AGAIN)
Def: 7

USC
Off: 8 (or 9 if you count McNeal as a starter)
Def: 7

Utah
Off: 8
Def: 7

UW
Off: 7 (I'm assuming Polk goes pro, otherwise it is 8)
Def: 7

WSU
Off: 3 (The entire O-Line is seniors, ouch!)
Def: 4
This doesn't really account for situations like Oregon where guys like Thomas aren't listed as starters but got significant playing time. I didn't count any juniors that I knew had declared for the draft either but I may have missed a few that I didn't know about it.

I consider myself a fairly stoic guy, but I shed more than a few tears listening to that story about David Molk and his mother.

Fuck. Appreciate your parents while you have them, gentlemen.

Where we're your seats? The sun was baaaad.

Tunnel 10 so we were looking right into until the 4th - what is this 80 in January bs!

Also Gildon/Harris started 4 games combined this year (or around that many). I'd say we're closer to 15 total. Factor in the amount people we play, it's hard to gauge. Both lines will boost and our WR core will too.

Our defensive starter numbers mean almost nothing. We redshirted a lot of guys who will play, if not start, next year, plus we have no idea what the new staff is going to do.

Shaq Thompson (5 star DB recruit deciding between us and Cal) apparently tweeted that UW picked up Al Simmons as our DB coach. He coached Shaq's older bother, Syd'Quan, at Cal. What did you think of him, Cyan?

God I just know I'm going to regret picking Michigan.

I think they're gonna show up pretty big.

Maybe it's just blind faith but DAT COACHING STAFF.

This team has been DOGSHIT defensively for upwards of six years. Year one these guys are 10-2 and have the #18 defense in the country.

"lol #18" all you want, I've been seeing TRIPLE DIGITS for recent Michigan defenses.

I don't know what I'm going on about, this is all common knowledge. Just saying I think this coaching staff will be ready for a team that got ripped twice by Clemson. I think Michigan is comparable to Clemson and personally would have put them against each other in the Orange and sent Boise or MSU to the Sugar.

But anyway.

Just getting my pre-game thoughts out. Shit I am kinda nervous, actually ... lol.

Don't know who I picked in this one, and don't care. Friday sunked me in pick em, and yesterday put me in the bottom 10....

Hopeful, but oddly concerned for Michigan in this. I think I'm just too used to letdowns when it comes to football in recent years.

Edit: Molk out? Aw fuck, suddenly my concern feels a lot more validated.
