Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock

It was ok, looks really great this is how dbz kai should have been remade to look.
A Little bit of retcon but who cares toriyama doesn't so why should I.

-bardock so tsun tsun
-chilled dude looks lame like a chubby baby frieza, not cool like the rest of frieza fam, Toei should of gave me call I would of allowed them to use my fanfic character frozen yogurt.

Such pandering.

Chihayafuru 3:
A very touching episode, with both some heartwarming moments and sad scenes as well. The three main characters are all coming to life well, and I'm enjoying seeing how their relationship has evolved. The karuta scenes are managing to make the games really intense to watch.

Fate/Zero 6:
Another strong episode; this time with more focus on character development and philosophical moments than on action, but it was a nice change of pace, and I feel like I understand several of the characters motivations much better now. Pretty much every character in this show has multiple layers to them.

I'm not quite sure whether I should find Caster creepy or funny.

I think what the anime is trying say through the Engrish is that he's the Top G. Arata > Taichi, believe.

Also, they seemed to have introduced a new musical theme this time around and it sounds pretty fab.

Usagi Drop 2:
Awww. That was an adorable episode. Not quite as strong as the amazing first episode, but very nice to watch and I appreciate how the show is focusing on the smaller details. I really wish I had gotten around to this show before now.

Caster is the epitome of kawaii, and there's no reason you can't find him both creepy and funny.

Absolutely. That's where I'm at right now, anyway. He's amazingly captivating.

What anime is that? I'm kinda interested.

Back to watching Puella Muella Madoka Magoka.

Speaking of which...

Chihayafura 13

That was a pretty excellent episode. I particularly enjoyed the scenes with Arata and his grandfather; music was used in quite an effective way during all of that. The show continues to be well directed, I could really see it rising on my 2011 anime list considering how good it has been.

Hanasaku Iroha 13:
Epic slapping galore. It was a good turning point for the show, and it focused more on the family element, but with a good touch of the work related elements and how they intermingle. OHana's realization was pretty expected, but I think it was executed in an enjoyable way.

While visiting CR to continue watching Yuru Yuri, I noticed their drama section. Does AnimeGAF watch Korean/Japanese drama?? Anything you guys recommend?

Starts near the bottom of that page & continues sporadically for a few more after that. I forgot that Dresden and Branduil also contributed.

I'm actually surprised to see how much of what I saw in the film was echoing what most of you had already mentioned. Though some disagree, I still think that the film can be seen in a positive light.

WTF Dresden
I've always wondered if anyone else felt viciously happy when
the man shattered her egg.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica 3

NO WAI

I saw the death flag half way through, BUT I DIDN'T EXPECT IT TO ACTUALLY HAPPEN. NOOOOOOOO
Delicious schadenfreude.

I keep reading it as G Spot.

This scene, with the music, was so random and hilarious and awesome and I love books too, Kanbaru.

K-ON! 7

Both Mio's scaredy-cat shtick and the teacher's antics are becoming rather tiresome. Fortunately we have this to make up for them:

Isn't sisterly love so heartwarming?

UNGO 9-10-11

Wow. That was such an amazing arc. Was that the anime original arc? Never fully explained some things, but the last episode had a pretty amazing
fight scene. Series ended okay, revealed one thing about Inga, and the detectivexdaughter thing was never really concluded.

Despite some hiccups and a poor start, UNGO really pulled through. Would watch again.

Edit: Is UNGO getting another season?

"Three series that were announced last year, including Turn A Gundam, My Ordinary Life (Nichijō) and Gosick, will not be released and their rights will revert back to their licensors."

So, someone else could pick them up again.

Also, more relevant portion of the interview:

Surprise surprise, licensors don't like it when we can buy 24 episodes for <$30.

Bandai kept trying to charge far, FAR too much for its anime, it's not too surprising that they've given up. One or two episode discs, crazy prices... yeah, no. $30 or $40 for a season is plenty much, no way would I, or most people, pay more than that.

Only one thing is clear: the role of a distributor for anime in North America is changing, and some well-equipped licensors can now cut them out of the process entirely, if they choose. Japanese publishers can now create Blu-rays with English subtitles, ready to import to English speakers worldwide. While those won't sell as many copies as American-produced discs, the higher price point and lack of middleman can still result in a decent amount of revenue with little additional cost. Bandai Visual Japan recently discovered this for themselves with their release of Gundam Unicorn. "They found the results pretty good, and that's how I think they would like to move forwards," Iyadomi says.
I believe Monty Python is in order.
That's for sure, if they actually expect that strategy to get them anywhere in the West... :lol

Six sales to crazy fans is better than more sales at an actually sane price? Um... if you say so. As I said though, the problem was Bandai's pricing (and episodes-per-disc) model to begin with.

What about the online distribution? Take Crunchyroll for example, $60 a year for unlimited access to their entire library. That is a steal and I can't see the Japanese licensors liking that either.
That's great for current stuff, but yeah, I also would expect many shows to not stay available there once they've aired...

So i just found out there was a censored version of Escaflowne in America
Sounds pretty bad but its still no 4kids One Piece

what the hell man

No One Piece? I don't know, I haven't watched censored Escaflowne, but from everything I've read about it it's got to be one of the worst translations ever. Minimal Hitomi, none of the exceptional musical score, completely redone plot... I don't want to watch that thing.

Oh, I totally forgot - it seems that RightStuf still has those Utena rings if you order all three sets, if you're into collecting animu related jewelry.

I guess that's a sign that they over-estimated pre-order demand? Not complaining anyway.

I was having a conversation about K-On with my infamous blood pact friend (e.g. fervently denying ever having watched it) and when I mentioned how Sawa-chan-sensei forces the members of HTT to cosplay, she pointed out that she's molesting them by forcing them to strip down naked to change outfits. I believe the phrase "molester teacher" was used.

So, yeah, K-On ruined forever. Sawako you pervert ;-;

Azunyan is still the worst character though.
S1 really is... something. Although she does a fake-molestation in S2 of sorts.

Yes! Yes they are!
The last new season of Futurama is horribad. :(

That was... awkward. Yeah.

Dear god, and that's looks like only just vol. 1. Next paycheck ahoy!
This is kinda fucked up. I of course expect a Bluray to look better and I don't mind them fixing mistakes but I had kinda attributed her homes Spartan furnishings to be a reflection of her personality, now it's like I don't even know these characters!

Oh well, not that Madoka was any good I just dislike that.
