Yes, this one was voiced by hnngzawa and gave us Renai Circulation and for that I just can't bring myself to hate. ^_^

What you're saying is, you like the OP. I think we can all separate that from the quality of the story and character.

No, she's a waifu too. Even the lesbian love thing
is more of an attachment to an older student who was kind to her.
I mean, she pretty much
offers herself to Ararararararagi
later on in the show.

Now now, we all know that
it's just a plot to keep his hands of Senjoughara
.

Fate/Zero 1-11

See Japan, this is what happen when you don't revolve your whole plot around panty, loli, and harem.

THIS IS WHAT Fate/Stay Night could had been if Servant/Master stay badass instead of becoming the inevitable member of harem or stepping stone to the final boss.

There are actual believable characters and interaction, instead of spending 1 episode in an action show for "tearful" flashback, then 2 more episode just to hold the love interest hand!

Villains are not here as cheap introduction to new member of harem or future ally. They are not an evil because of emo childhood, they have logical motive and reason.

I actually rewind just to make sure I didn't miss any dialog or line in an anime, every line and scene actually there for a reason instead of just filler for a full 24 minute. (Well except for the side story about Rin, stupid fans)

Long live Gen Urobuchi!!!!!

I seriously haven't had this much fun watching anime TV since Planetes and Ghost in the Shell.

I don't want this to end, I have no idea what to watch next X_X. Re-watch K-On may be? At least they ain't trying to pretend to be something else.

Episode 11 spoiler:
Rider is so manly, this is how you wake Saber up from her stupid ideal. Unlike Fate/Stay Night where you made her realist her goal is stupid by sleeping with her.

Steins;Gate 16

My jaw is on the floor. So many mindblowing revelations in one episode that I can't even fathom that the first few episodes were slow anymore. Also depressing as fuck for
Amane

Which Ep11 did you watch? The original TV one or the new uncut airing?

Yeah...They were pretty damn relentless in
the handling of her outcome. ;_; I failed. I failed. I failed. I failed. I failed. I failed. I failed.

I was having a conversation about K-On with my infamous blood pact friend (e.g. fervently denying ever having watched it) and when I mentioned how Sawa-chan-sensei forces the members of HTT to cosplay, she pointed out that she's molesting them by forcing them to strip down naked to change outfits. I believe the phrase "molester teacher" was used.

So, yeah, K-On ruined forever. Sawako you pervert ;-;.

So she's just as bad as Haruhi!

Aika R16: Virgin Mission 1

The butterfly is tattooed to her left breast. If you inspect the tattoo closely, the tattoo is actually a sequence of numbers which when converted to the Roman alphabet, yields this phrase. You can rest assured that they didn't even need this excuse to show breasts, and also lots of pantsu. Lots and lots of pantsu!

Yup, after a 10-year hiatus, the Super Pantsu Show has come again at last! Studio Fantasia made the original Aika in 1997, Aika R-16 was made in 2007 and reflects the best (and worst) that production values of the 2000's had to offer. The show is indeed now in 16:9 widescreen, and is backed by music and sound effects that are completely ultra-modern. It also makes full use of 3DCG for vehicles, including our ojou-sama's shiny ship and submarine.

Unfortunately they also replaced the entire voice cast, so both Young Aika and Young Gusto sound completely different than before. Well, 26-year old Aika sounded really old as her seiyuu was considerably older than Aika was supposed to be in the 1997 original, so I guess it really, really wouldn't have worked to have 16-year old Aika voiced by her original seiyuu. Young Gusto is a bit of a disappointment, though. He definitely isn't the Gusto we know and love from the original series.

So, anyways, Young Aika joins the Treasure Hunting Club at her high school and promptly gets roped into going on a trip with the club President and class rep. They immediately are betrayed by their advisor, many pantsu are seen, and Aika gets herself caught up in her first adventure. As with the original Agent Aika, there is a strong underlying plot hidden carefully beneath all the pantsu. This should be fun.

Bakemonogatari 5:
I don't know what I just watched, but I think I liked it? It's certainly one of the more unique things I've seen. Child molestation made funny and long winded phrasings of the simplest possible concepts.

Bakemonogatari 8

That was pretty great. I liked the way the narrative played out and how Kanbaru's character and motivations were presented. Shaft even broke out some budget for the fight scene.
I like how the arcs keep ending with "And the girl continues to hang around Araragi at his house, because that's what harem girls do.

K-ON! 8

I have crossed the line; maid uniforms are no longer appealing at all, just drab and ugly. I blame Sawako.

For not practicing very seriously, the band improvises surprisingly well in live performance. Some raw talent here that'll sadly never be refined, particularly in Yui's case.

Well, there's only 120 different permutations of the core five band members, so sooner or later we'll run out of options.

I doubt that we'll run out of options, people will just lose interest and then it can be brought up again in the next three months.

I don't want this to end, I have no idea what to watch next X_X. Re-watch K-On may be? At least they ain't trying to pretend to be something else.

If you're looking for recent shows and you haven't seen this already, watch Wandering Son. It's from the same director as Fate/Zero and it's better. (It doesn't have action though, if that's a problem for you.)

Speaking of which...

Chihayafura 13

That was a pretty excellent episode. I particularly enjoyed the scenes with Arata and his grandfather; music was used in quite an effective way during all of that. The show continues to be well directed, I could really see it rising on my 2011 anime list considering how good it has been.

But we're in 2012 now! It's the future.

The official thread, was doing that for a while.

Here are some direct pic for pic of the changes.

I think it's worth nothing how lazy the background art was in the original airing. I mean, it's not like it looks great in the BD, but there wasn't anything in that room when it originally aired. Considering how important background art is in establishing a space and telling you about a character (indirectly) that's a pretty bad sign. Compare and contrast with the main household in Penguin Drum.

Aika R-16: Virgin Mission 2

So, pantsu. Everyone showing us their pantsu. Aika showing us her pantsu while she kicks ass. Tsundere ojou-sama showing us her pantsu. Amnesia kuudere showing us her...wait...how come she gets pink ones and everyone else's are plain white? Is she special? Could it be she is...THE REAL MAIN CHARACTER, not Aika??

Nah, who are we kidding. Aika's now in her classic red Salvager uniform, as originally seen in the 1997 series. She's absolutely the main character. Welcome back, Aika. Welcome back, Aika's pantsu.

I just discovered Sengoku Collection. This and Odanobuna will be an interesting wait :lol
The anime's main character is a female re-imagining of the great warlord Oda Nobunaga (pictured below right). Another major character is the female version of Tokugawa Ieyasu (pictured top left), the first shogun of Japan.
It's pretty bizarre how commonplace this kind of thing has become. How often does that happen to historical figures in your country? In Japan it's constant!

Digimon Xros Wars 52:
Bugramon shows up, and actually is pretty awesome. I was kind of expecting a letdown, but he managed to show off some nice power and good psychological moments, too. Then...DarkKnightmon, like a boss. It was expected, but still an awesome moment. Of course, the guy who has been around all this time has to be the final villain. This episode also did a nice job of showing off Kiriha's growth over the course of the series. I'm not amused about the lack of Nene, though.

I think most people just assumed that it was meant to reflect how empty Mami's life had become by that point . . . but then, Shaft. Lol.

So what you're saying is there's no way that the Penguin Drum blurays will improve the background art as much as the Madoka ones.

SHAFT>Brain's Base confirmed.

[Chihayafuru 13]

Another really strong episode this week, perhaps my favourite since the beginning of the show. Once again, while the 'theme' was karuta we didn't spend the whole episode watching matches, which meant that most of the run-time could be dedicated to character work. In this case, achieved through flashbacks. The direction was really strong to, with great use of POV's, editing and other techniques to convey mood. It wasn't anything 'radical', it was simply done well.

Of course, they didn't forget the all important aspects of the show:
