People have told me that my hazel eyes are mystifying. They seem to change colors.

What does hazel mean? I have eyes like this color, and people will call that both green and hazel.

I just spent way too long looking for a clip from the episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy where Billy goes to an ophthalmologist to illustrate my feelings about contact lenses, but I couldn't find a good video. To summarize, the ophthalmologist demonstrates how to put in a contact and horribly mangles his eye in the process.

Anyway, as far as color goes, I'm pretty happy with my blue eyes.

I'm just happy someone else likes that show. One of my favorite cartoons and no one I know ever watched it.

I think hazel means it varies in color. They could both be hazel. Mine has a more bluish/gray tint with some yellow and brown in it.

Hmm. My sister has grey eyes. I just figured that was a variation of blue eyes.

Nope! You're a hazeler like the rest of us. Some people do have a lot more brown though, it sounds like yours are like mine in that they're usually fairly green.

On a random note, I recently realized that the thing that most attracted me to all of the girls I've dated/liked in the past was their eyes.
They all looked/acted nothing alike, but I realized recently that every single one of them had brown eyes.

Guess I've got a "type" after all, haha.

Is it? Brown eyes are just so lovely. Like chocolate or caramel. Blue eyes just feel empty to me.

Yeah interesting cause I rarely see people go on about brown eyes especially dark ones. Mines are about as dark as they come. Any compliments I did receive for my eyes had to do with their size/shape never the color.

My grandfather had gray eyes so I'm used to everyone being like oh dark brown? Meh.

Mine don't really change drastically. I mean I don't pay attention to them that often, but the only time I've seen a huge change is when they've become very orange.

Back in high school when I drew a lot, I used to draw eyes all the time, and I would draw them like my own. People would ask me why the design in the iris looked like flower petals. It's interesting how different people's eyes look. Mine look kind of like a kaleidoscope of different patterns.

Mine are hazel and switch between medium brown, light brown/honey, dark green, and even light green/turquoise depending on the light. Most of the time I think they're kind of like this. Maybe dark green iris with medium brown/yellowish ring near pupil. Looks like baby poop. IDK.

I discovered just last year that my mom had a gray ring on the outside of her eye with brown in the center. My mind was blown cause I always assumed her eyes were just brown like mine.

Yeah ;/ There are some people in Yemen with green eyes too. My dad's side of the family have really light brown eyes, but I got stuck with my mom's dark brown eyes
