Real Pic January!

So I searched around a bit and apparently a lot of people in Brooklyn say "close the light" instead of "turn off the light," and vise versa. I thought it was common for most people to make this mistake, especially cause I say that all the time LOL. Also saying "youse" and "yous guys" is very Brooklyn as well, which I'm guilty of saying sometimes hahaha.

Anyway, off to bed. Goodnight!

Close the light? That's an odd way of saying it. I usually say, "Power down the electrical illumination device".

Even though it sounds weird, when you think about it, I use "guys" regardless of gender. I avoid "y'all" as much as I can.

Speaking of Texas, have you guys watched Friday Night Lights? The TV series, I mean. I absolutely love it, though I haven't watched the final season yet.

Love that show, but like you I haven't watched the final season. I really should get on that...

Did I miss anything awesome on RP-GAF last-night?

I don't know, but I think you look a bit like Goldie in that picture.

But they're not guys... when you talk to girls, you ever say guys? 'Do you all wanna come' vs 'y'all wanna come'. Pure efficiency baby.

I live in Virginia, so I say y'all quite a bit(I dont have a strong accent), but its not unusual to say 'guys' when addressing a group of girls or guys/girls.

Having said that, I still think it has slowed down a little. I'm talking about the time of day when it is usually quite active.

Oh that.. fair enough. Yeah, I agree.

This thread is unique in that it is sharing its limelight in three threads basically. Real gaf, girls thread [ahem]*, and the tinychat.

*I think this is cause the girls have come out in force. Pretty much all of them have shown up. I think one poster definitely swapped their avatar with their SO though, but that just means both of them participated.

Guys guys guys (I also use guys to refer to everyone) guess what?

It is way too early in the morning for me to be up :<

That's actually what I think of as a "standard" American accent, how weird. Also "it says caramel but I say 'carmel' because Caramel is a town in Cali" made me lol.

For the most part it IS very similar to the standard, but there are a few differences that mark it. It can be really hard to tell though, if you aren't looking for those differences. I think if you heard them side by side you could probably tell that there is SOMETHING different, even if you couldn't name precisely what.

Not really, actually. I've seen plenty of other girls around who I know are not participating. There are even more who probably won't even admit to being a woman.

You have such a stern look in that avatar. I've been meaning to comment on it before now, but never bothered.

Ah damn, is it that bad? :<

I know some girls that are not particpating so fair enough. But the girls gaf got me into this mess/bliss. That much is true. I can't remember what I was in there for. :P

So I'm gonna protest against ties. Never really had a chance or reason to before. So on tie friday, I'm gonna protest by not wearing a tie. Strangely, I like ties. So this protest is quite possibly because I'm lazy.

Oh dear... I want to change it, but I'm afraid I'll look stern regardless of the kind of picture I take :< It's just kind of my face.

You don't look stern...just kind of blank? There's just no expression on your face. At least he didn't say you looked like a sex doll haha (still sorry about that one).

There's nothing wrong with it. My face looks pretty stern (or according to some downright agressive) when I don't smile.

Maybe a pic with a smile would solve the stern issue?

I don't know if it would help, when I smile for pictures I just look sarcastic :o (not a problem in real life, but if I'm trying to force it that's what it looks like.)
