haha I wish I could. Joey does nothing on command. He's his own bird. I'd have to have a camera on him for hours on end in hopes of catching it.

Dude that sucks, I wish your father the best. While my dad is not ill like yours, I just spent some time with him and it was really hard to see his mind start to fade away. Appreictae every moment and remember he can still beat this.
As for financial aid, it sounds like a perfect time to go rip them a new asshole! Seriously, see if they have any way to speed up the process. Be nice, it is amazing what a good relationship with financial aid can do.

It's been proven that Greys have the cognitive abilities of about a 4 year old human child. They can reason, they can tell differences in objects and situations. They're amazingly smart creatures.
I watched an old documentary about Dr. Irene Pepperberg and her bird Alex, by far one of the smartest parrots on the planet and knew I had to have one. About 10 years ago, a guy I knew wanted to sell Joey and I bought him for $100. He's been my buddy since.
