Im also an american football fan. Compared to nfl fans anime fans are tame.
Its not uncommon for chargers fans to get shanked when they go to oakland for example.
This episode felt even more relaxed than usual, and benefited from that. Without the need to hit the 4koma punchlines, it flowed better and was able to focus on subtly presenting the important structural force that the band's friendship provides in their lives while hinting at the separate directions they will inevitably go. I hope this is the kind of quality I can expect from the second season.
Sket Dance 2:
Oh man, that was very good. The characters are great, and the situations they found themselves in were wacky and fun. I love the way this show is directed, honestly. It's managed to find the perfect feel for something so off beat.
I think so. I dislike soccer, but I love the manga and found the first episode to be a good start for the anime version. It's one of those series I think more people need to give a shot. It's a character drama first, and a manga about soccer second.
Using a lighthearted introduction and following it with creepy shit is something Tutu has never been afraid to do, yet it keeps on surprising me. The way this episode presented Mytho's "suicide" attempt and Tutu's last second rescue felt more authentic than many of the dance sequences before, mainly because we have people outside the main four reacting to the actual event. You could liken it to a micro-cosmos of what fairy tale phenomena would entail in our real world. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it?
The script didn't do anything surprising regarding Mytho's character taking 180 degree turn. It's an obvious way to subvert a prince-like character like him, even if in this case he's being manipulated by Kraehe's long-lasting influence on his heart. Predictability, however, is not a bad thing in itself. They are obviously taking these fairy tale tropes as a bait line and using them to reel the viewers who have been keeping up. I certainly hope this is not the only element they turn on its head -that prologue regarding what happens after the "happily ever after" was a great hook for the second cour. I have high expectations now!
tl;dr: I was fist-pumping at the end. Tutu was GAR as fuck!
Still think Japan dropped the ball by not making an anime with the women's World Cup team. They could have yuri'd it up too if they needed a way to drum up some interest.
I hate the little fucker with his pathetic moping and winying really did my ears in, kaimina was the only decenet character in ttgl, the others aren't even characters.
I was rooting for those random fodders they were fighting to kill them (except canon button pressing guy his cool).
This is it. This is the reason the Japanese brought anime into the world. It's everything I could have hoped for and more besides from the first episode of the final season. Then again, all 3 previous seasons started off with great first episodes and then went their separate ways thereafter. I'm hoping this final season will combine the humor of season 1 with the epic shit seem sporadically in season 2. We'll all pretend season 3 never happened, of course. This is J.C. Staff's final chance at ZnT, and this time the LN author is supervising it personally.
The board is set, and the pieces are moving. The staff from the the first season are back together, Rie Kugimiya is ready with her best tsundere voice and all the other cast members are reunited, and yes, it is GLORIOUS. This is the moment for which the world was created! Zero no Tsukaima is back, one last time! Welcome back Saito, Tiffania, Henrietta, Julio, Siesta, Guiche, Montmorency, Tabitha, Kirche,
Colbert
, and Agnes!
Welcome back, Louise!! Welcome back! We've missed you! All together now: HNNNNNNNNGH!
I was pretty productive tonight anyway.
Kept 6 truck terminals running smoothly all night.
Just so people can happily commute around in 3 states.
Fuel dispatch is not for the weak. I have seen people keel ovrr and have mental breakdowns and cry.
So years back I watched the first like....5 episodes of Eva I guess but never anymore because I had no way to. Recently I borrowed 1.11 and 2.22 from my friend, good substitute for watching the whole thing? Or a better companion piece?
Watch the TV Series first, then End of Evangelion, and then 1.11 and 2.22. The new movies aren't a substitute as the story goes a different direction and there's a lot of changes.
The title of the episode is "I Like Soccer". Whoever is in paying for this school must really like soccer, because the field looks bigger than the building.
I'm not big on soccer myself, but I was still entertained. The character drama looks to be as important as the sport itself, so it's worth at least checking out.

Spring is too long to wait to see more of Rider being a boss.
Some nice developments these last two episodes of the season. The sexual tension between Archer and Kirei is palpable. Rider should look into becoming a motivational speaker because he gives the best damn motivational speeches ever. One thing that disappointed me is that Saber wasn't sobbing uncontrollably in a corner after that verbal beatdown Rider gave her.

This is the very first thing the main character says.
This seems to be the c3 of the winter season.
Fools you into thinking it's some generic harem/romcom, then it gets REALLY bloody and not funny at all (at least not intentionally). If the OP is anything to go by, it looks like we'll get some legit battles.
The premise kind of reminds me of Princess Resurrection, but with a lighter tone even if the mood shifts are brutal. Definitely something that could be good.
Dammit, already following 2 shows I didn't plan on following. Really wanted this to be a backlog season :/
Bamboo Blade disc 2 - I love this show. Also, the final team member finally appears... hmm, I wonder if doing kendo would really help her grades or not. It seems sketchy, but if it convinces her to join, they don't seem to care either way... um, though if she continues to do badly she wouldn't be allowed to stay I imagine, so they probably should care. Instead the show seems to mostly drop it most of the time, apart from some not-so-nice jokes from MiyaMiya. Eh, maybe it gets back to it, I forget.
Anyway, yeah, this show is great. I know I've seen it before, but it's well worth watching again.
Bamboo Blade disc 3 - It's almost over already? How sad... I wish there was more of this series, I really do. It's such a good series, with a great cast of likable characters and a very high quality level. Most of this disc (eps 14-20) was as great as ever. MiyaMiya and Tama both get rivals, we learn about why MiyaMiya seems to have started liking Dan-kun (
he looks sort of like her pet anteater that died, or something like that, apparently...
, Tama's father constantly significantly overthinks things to amusing degrees, Saya is awesome (should I be saying "poor Saya", or "Saya, you're crazy"... both, I guess?), etc. ... As I said all of the characters are great though. Tama's probably my favorite, but the whole cast is good. Well, the teacher's kind of bad, but his sheer selfishness is kind of the point of his character, and what makes him funny.
However, this disc has one of the few episodes of the show I actually kind of dislike on it. That's the episode where
they lose the tournament match. It's not just that they lose; it's how. I mean, first, Tama doesn't tell any of them what happened to her. I can kind of understand that, yes, she wanted to deal with it on her own, but still... it would have been good if you'd told them, the coach might have let her finish despite her injury if he'd known what they'd done to her (the mean girls of the other team getting her leg injured, I mean), particularly considering how much she cares about justice.
The way it happens in the show it's frustrating, and I"m left thinking "why do these people so rarely tell eachother important things..."
Also, that ending of the episode, how Kirino turned back to normal and lost... that was just kind of dumb. So yeah, one episode I didn't like so much. I remembered most of this episode, probably because of how I'd disliked it before, and yeah, it's no better now. The other episodes on this disc were great as usual, though. The last episode or so starts an arc not based on the manga, but it's just as good as anything else from the show. Sure, the cooincidence is a bit overly convenient (
that Tama's father's friend would just happen to be making the Blade Braver movie, I mean... oh come on
, but apart from that it's a good episode, just as much so as the rest of the series.
On that note, I reread some of the later parts of the manga, but I've complained already about where the manga goes, so I won't do that again, except to say that maybe, if the manga hadn't been canned and could have continued for some time longer, the bad part might have gotten dulled a bit by being just a weak part in between stronger parts, presuming that it returned to form again later. It's really too bad that didn't happen. I mean, it's great to finally introduce some characters who can compete with Tama on an even par, but that was NOT the way to do it. Nearly cutting out the entire main cast and focusing the whole thing on new characters? No! The anime version here does it better, with this rival girl introduced in the last episode of this disc. Sure, the focus goes to Tama, but the others don't become borderline irrelevant, and the team still matters. She's a natural rival too, with how she's a Shinaider fan...
Yes, absolutely. It's a very good movie. It's not as good as the original, Fritz Lang's all-time classic silent film, but the anime movie's pretty good too, certainly.
Ben-To seems a bit strange, 'dumb fun shows where people hit each other' seem to be pretty popular. I can't imagine it would be hard to licence for streaming.
Yeah, pretty much. This is particularly true for 2.22; 1.11 isn't as good as the original either, but at least it's very similar to the first series. 2.22 isn't, and the changes are not for the better.

Bamboo blade really is a great series and i recommend it to pretty much everyone.
Unless you completely hate moe, in which case you are dead to me anyway.
As you well know cajun, I enjoy tsunderes. They're like a good Chinese dinner you know, with the sweet and the sour. Expanding on that analogy, I will smile with delight. That's the sweet. As you scream for your fucking life. Of course, that's the sour! Ciao!
