^yeah, considering it's not listed on any retailers for pre-order, you can call me surprised lol

edit: the few clips actually make the game look pretty awesome

i hope this means if we buy Motorstorm RC on PSN then it will play on both PS3 and Vita. one purchase, two systems. i suspect that is how they are doing it with Hustle Kings, which has been out on PS3 for what, 2-3 years now?

yep. watched the vid. you get both versions. game saves using cloud, so you can jump back and forth between versions without losing progress. nice! another launch purchase then. think i have 4 now on PSN to get. :)

Pay Once, Get Both:

It’s the same experience on both PS3 and PS Vita, and picking up the game on PS3 will give you full access to the game on PS Vita (and vice versa) – so if you own both you can carry your progress between the two, and always pick up where you left off.

Edit:
Bah, too late.

No reason for me to not get this. Sounds like the perfect game to play on the go with Vita, and then play at home on PS3. I couldn't tell from the video, but is there online play? I know there's social stuff, but I didn't hear anything about it.

I don't think there would be much difference between 50-80% brightness, because OLED is generally battery power efficient, but who knows without some tests.

So, I'm thinking of making some purchases from the jp psn vita store, but I'm wondering if I will still be able to play them after I switch my account to us after the NA release date.
Anyone tried this? I don't want to have games stuck on my jp account after I reset my vita and login to us psn.

Games are tied to the account from which they have been bought.
I don't know if those are bullshots but damn they look nice. I hope this gets released in the west.
The game doesn't look bad, but I think the graphics lacks details, especially the environments.

You can have only 1 account active at a time on Vita, so I'd recommend making sure you buy games on your primary account.

Anyone know either the exact or a very close estimate of the Vita screen's refresh rate? Just doing some research for optimal video playback on this baby.

From quick google searching, Vita's screen is 960x544 at 220 ppi.

Finally went out and got the 32BG card from Bic camera. They had it for 8550 yen, so less than I thought it would be. My earlier 8GB card can hold a few games, but it was full in no time, so I decided to pay for a big one.

It's still amazing how that many bytes can fit on a card that small. I love technology.

Any of you have MvsC3? I've noticed that the brightness bar doesn't go all the way to maximum on my Vita while playing that game. I don't have any other games yet so I can't test others. Are you guys having this issue too?

Some games don't let you set the brightness to maximum. IIRC the maximum brightness level in Uncharted is 80%.

Some (most) games allow a max of 80% brightness in game.

Does anyone know when or if Pro evolution soccer is coming out for the vita? I remember seeing it in one of the vita trailers but can't find any information about it anywhere.

I hadn't noticed that Japanese gamers had bombed the Amazon ranking of Ridge Racer.

all complaining about the lack of tracks and rest being paid DLC.

It's the exact same camera specs as the 3DS ones. The intent for them has always been for AR, and maybe video chat.

which its really good at. Indoors when most cameras are gaining up and getting grainy, the vita camera stays pretty clear with a good refresh rate. Very good for AR or just face capture in real world situations (i.e not bright sunshine)

edit: Motorstorm for launch? I had my fingers crossed as the devs were making good noises about it. But something else to add to my list.

That I'm not sure of.

Probably power saver.
Some games do let you go max.

I never use 100% anyway but I guess it's important to note.

The PSP limited the true "max" battery life unless you plugged it in. Custom firmware let you do it off battery, though a later official firmware might have allowed it too.

I remember when the PSP wouldn't let you play videos at full resolution, presumably as an incentive to buy UMDs instead of ripping DVDs and running them off a stick. A later firmware update fixed that I think. At least, I think that's what happened.

So if PSN is down you can't continue your game? If that's the case, I'm out.

Is anyone else having problems with PSN all of a sudden? I can't sync trophies, check my friends, anything. Just keep getting an error.

Vita might be calibrated for AR, meaning more lighting in dark spaces... who really knows, not sure that I care at all... My 3GS camera is so bad I would never use it for taking pics, not i do... Sony camera in 4S is nice, but 4S is 700$ and Vita is $250.

The Vita is cable of taking better pictures than the one in the article.

Here is one Shuhei Yoshida posted on his twitter page.
https://twitter.com/#!/yosp/status/155491017796235264/photo/1

Also why are the photos taken at different distances and angles? It looks like the iPhone 3G/4S and PS Vita was taken at one distance/angle and the other devices taken at another.

If you download a vita game on PS3, and then copy the bubble to a Vita, does the game disappear from the PS3, or does it stay there so you can manage your fridge? How about if you use mediago instead?

If I have a smaller memory card and start needing to shuffle things around, I don't want to have to keep redownloading gigabytes of data just to copy a game across.
