Isn't that true for every lineman? He's been solid but very little credit is given to Franklin. The guy is a rookie, and after some initial mistakes, has really become a force on the line. Overall the big fellas never get enough credit, but they have done an outstanding job. Kuper was a big loss as well.

Our O-Line is phenomenal. Even with Kuper out Tebow seemed to have ALL DAY in the pocket.

the down linemen were hardly coming with a full rush. They were trying to contain a pocket most of the day. Not saying they're not good, just the time Tebow had was more indicative of what the Steelers were afraid of then their actual pass blocking ability.

Even better! Who cares if he chokes in the playoffs, he gets there! That's all I want....that's all I want...

Im assuming Broncos fan? If so welcome aboard, be prepared to take some flak for not posting before the playoffs. Either way stick around we've got a nice little group that is pretty consistent each week.

I would say Dallas in 93 and SF in 95.
SF in 84-85 would be a better example, moreso than the 89 team I feel. SF's offense that year was overshadowed by Marino's ridiculousness that both sides of the ball didn't get as much attention, so much so that noone considered SF could possibly contain him.

Maybe it's clouded judgment, but I never really associated the 49ers with dominant defenses. Silly me.
There have been several seasons where SF had a pretty dominant defensive group. They've almost always been overshadowed by the offense though.

He's light years ahead of Childress.

Schottenheimer would be a good hire.

Who the fuck wants to watch the Patriots kill the Broncos?

Guaranteed, the Baltimore/Houston matchup gets better ratings. Houston's first playoff run, rookie QB, and let's be honest, Baltimore is the most charismatic team in the NFL.

Our lord and Savior Tebow or a team of Murderers and convicts?

Yeah fuck the Ravens.

Holy shit! I just realized there are a bunch of NFL-GAF Playoff Only visitors who don't know what "facetious" means.

For real though, Baltimore is the most charismatic team in the NFL.

I want nothing more than for the Ravens to lose. I just don't understand how defenses haven't caught onto Flacco dumping the ball off the Ray Rice every other play. I'd let Torrey go uncovered, he drops the pass 3/4 times anyway and QUADRUPLE COVER Ray Rice. lololol

Who are you and why do you hate the Ravens so much? STATE YOUR ALLEGIANCE!

does "charismatic" have something to do with dressing up nice to meet a judge?

I'll get on the phone with Wade Phillips

LOL Here it goes.

My father is from DC, my mother from Baltimore. My father has burdened with carrying on the Redskin tradition. It's a harsh punishment, one that I cannot seem to shake. LOL

Thus, I catch hell from Ravens fans. While I admire Ozzie Newsome and how the entire organization is run, their fans make me wish sadness and despair upon their lives. LOL I feasted on their bitter tears last year and plan to feast again.

In conclusion, I like/respect/admire the entire organization but hate the fans. Redskin fans are delusional as hell but Ravens fans are just outright stupid.

Ugh.

Come on Tebow and.....TJ Yates, beat the Cheaters and Rats!!

If Yates doesn't shit the bed in the face of that pass rush, he might have a chance. The Ravens secondary is garbage but most QB's wilt in fear.

I just wonder how/if they'll get the run game going. You can't abandon it against the Ravens, you have to keep running in belief that those 2 yard carries turn into 3-4 yards in the 4th qtr. Passing against them is how they win games, sack-fumbles & interceptions.

Just hide from Ngata

that requires people to pretend that ESPN's Total QBR actually means something now or historically (if we can even call something going back to 2008 "historical").

I had to laugh at Fatcessa on the radio earlier in talking about next week's games, "Packer/Giants a good one, interesting for the Saints cause they have to go outdoors, Tebow adds some fun to the Pat game and Houston/Baltimore, well, they all can't be good games."

Ravens aren't that great against the run. they can be run on, especially when Ray is healthy.

Jags did just that against them.

Ravens had fourth best Pass D in the league, and it ain't all pass rush.

Plus.....TJ Yates is the QB.

No, it's not all on the pass rush. Those guys can def make plays but they can def be beat on a consistent basis. The Texans have the WR's to match up against them.

And yeah, Yates... LOL I can't disagree.

Right but they stuck with the run out of desperation. They had no choice! LOL But it worked in their favor. Gabbert was scared out of his mind, every pass was off his back foot. Plus, someone got into Rice's head cus he fumbled like 12 times that game and they kinda shut him down. That'll prolly never happen again.

TJ Yates.

I see.

I use total yards because it's a pure stat, I feel it best depicts the performance of a defense without funky algorithms and colluded metrics, or the flukiness of turnovers. Simply put, yards leads to points.

On another note, has there ever been an offense that was dominant at the same time as its defense?

Damn right, cant wait to see the Eagles beat the Packers this weekend. :(

I hope someone makes a gif of Ayers powering through and throwing whatever bum lineman was trying to block him into Big Ben, that was an awesome play last night.
