People would have revolted if Senjougahara didn't get any screentime.
Heh, that would have been an interesting troll actually. See how long you can go without having her in the show.

It was already like that in the novel though.
So even the author knew to start the show with the show stopper.

I'm not even sure what you're imagining I was expecting tbh.
Roses, lesbians, basset hounds and penguins, I'm sure!

(spoiler)

Great show. Enjoy it.

I guess is not that wrong if you say One Piece has a pretty unique style but nothing what you would put in a Top 10.

This is how I feel, I mean the art isn't amazing but the closest thing I found to it was something like Rave Master/ Fairy Tail and that's only because Mashima (or whatever the author's name is) worked as a helper for Oda IIRC.

I think this was debunked a while back.

edit: In fact, looking this up I found out he's never worked as an assistant.

At least one of those things. Is that so much to ask for?
Heh. I just find it interesting because the pilot met and maybe even exceeded my expectations. Although, I haven't seen Bake since it aired either, so I don't really have any of it in my head other than the cat girl (and that's only because of the Mandoric "troll").

It was debunk. I heard so many myths like Mashima and Oda were under Toriyama before .etc

It'd be better to just say that OP's art is polarizing as hell. I'd place it in my top 10, for example.

Yeah definitely in mine too, but the polarizing thing is absolutely true. I noticed a lot of people who like kind of... rigid more traditional anime art can't stand one piece's style.

Which means he has no excuse.

Shit's a straight ripoff.

Pretty sure Oda mentioned being inspired by old European cartoons. That and a mixture of Toriyama inspiration is probably why his art is unique.

Gintama 20

That was pretty hilarious episode. Probably one of my favourite comedy based episodes so far.

It's such a depressing thing to scroll down the list of episodes and realize I have like 200 episodes before I catch up. I'm trying to go at 1-2 episodes a day for the next month and see how far that will get me. I also need to start watching Natsume. God damn it, so much catching up to do

Chihayafuru 9:
When did I become such a Taichi fan? I guess around the time he started being an awesome character. This episode pretty much had everything I could have asked for. We're seeing the group come together and we even got a training montage. Chihaya was being a bit intense, but her feelings were in the right place, so she gets a pass.

Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about anymore.
Yep, we're entering anime fansub lawlz territory.

He's only awesome because they seem to be trying to retcon his doucheyness. Lest we forget!

Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about anymore again.
Been a while, but the translation for the last episode was released in five installments over the course of a week (or something, can't remember the specifics), inciting a bit of rage from the internet dudes.

Taichi is indeed great. Firehawk's tears when he transcends the friendzone will be glorious.

I have varied taste in animu art, I'm just not a fan of dicknoses and googly eyes. :(

Knowing that you have 200 quality episodes to watch shouldn't make you depressed.

200 fantastic episodes, you should be thrilled.

I'm kinda worried that by the time I catch up on Gintama the anime will be put on hiatus again. :(

team taichi represent.

Weird, and not in a good sense, first episode; there is a really awkward sense of disconnection between the visuals, the music and the script.

I love Chihayafuru's character designs (well Chihaya specifically). Its just drawn so elegantly.

Also lol at CWarrior saying HanaIro has generic character design and then defending One Piece. This is why no one takes you seriously.

Wow.. if your taking a discussion about animu personally then you need help.

There's no need to be rude about it.

I happen to think both have generic character design.

One piece character design is generic ? I don't think character that look like this are common.

Gunsmith Cats - 3 (end)

mpc-hc2012-01-1003-27olkd0.jpg

It was a fantastic little ride, great animations, nice story arc witz some unique and lovable characters. Rally is the reason for my little thing for brown-skinned anime girls. And now I will read the manga and a new OVA for my Golden Age anime timeslot, maybe Record of Lodoss War or Aozora Shoujotai?

The Aozora Shoujotai opening is so beatiful - great voice: http://youtu.be/5stkSssFXnI

Fate/Zero 11 (uncut):
Awesome episode. Rider is even more of a badass, and I loved getting to hear the characters philosophies on how they lived and ruled. It was nice that the subject wasn't simply treated as being black and white, and both Saber and Rider made good points in what they said. The viewer is left understanding both characters a lot better thanks to their discourse.

Goddamit Cwarrior, you're turning off the few animugaffers that actually plan on starting it :/

Saint Seiya 52-54

Yeah, Leo did not deliver. Had to rely on Cassius to bail Seiya out. We're done with like half the temples and not a single one was legitimately beaten by the Bronze Saints :/

I can't really imagine anyone starting One Piece at this point in time. There's over 500 episodes and it's still just chugging along (I think?). Seems crazy daunting.

Natsume S1 1

I wasn't fully paying attention near the end, but what did he do to the demon? Calling their name and blowing it to them does what exactly?
Returns their name to them. Which frees them from Natsume's control should he want to order them to do things.

How does posting gifs of your favorite character gonna change the opinion the character designs? Not that that scene wasn't particularly awesome.

At the start they may have looked generic, but from the Alabasta Arc on Oda developed a lot. Isn't it more like What's the problem with Oda's art?
http://mangahelpers.com/forum/showt...th-Oda-s-Art?p=2365113&viewfull=1#post2365113

Silly Ryuukan. That's Fairy Tail. The anime about the dragon dude and the pirates.
Space pirates and alien dragons, but wait we've got something in that direction already.

Ah I see. It's just that the final scene with the way it was animated made me think the demon vanished or something.

It's so weird seeing One Piece talk in here. I'm just not used to talking about it outside the manga thread.

Hosanna and a few others are considering it. Whether they actually will or not is another thing.

Besides, it really isn't as daunting when you realize it's only about 120 hours if you skip the filler, the OPs after seeing them once, and the 5 minute recaps at the beginning of each episode later in the show. Still really long, but not so intimidating when you realize it's shorter than a full playthrough of Dragon Quest 7.

If it's entertaining, why should it matter how long it is? Someone in the OP thread started it recently and is bulldozing through it. I probably wouldn't recommend that since it's very easy to get burned out, but hey as long as he's enjoying it.
