Ah I see. It's just that the final scene with the way it was animated made me think the demon vanished or something.
Yeah I got the same feeling too when I was first watching the show. It doesn't seem apparent that they remain in the world until later on where you do see recurring characters and ones that don't do that vanishing act.

All of the above

Depending on how you feel about do-rags.

Medicine seller you so fine.

Really should let the Utena ending sit for a day or two before going into the movie. The mind needs time to recover and adapt to the new levels of fabulous it has achieved.

Stop trying to instill sense into people! Where's the fun in that?

I kinda feel like I mostly show up to shatter dreams and hopes, but you shouldn't expect a lot of Kanbaru overall...

Wait... what? D:

Fuck Arata

Is what Chihaya will be doing, yes.

Hosanna and a few others are considering it. Whether they actually will or not is another thing.

Besides, it really isn't as daunting when you realize it's only about 120 hours if you skip the filler, the OPs after seeing them once, and the 5 minute recaps at the beginning of each episode later in the show. Still really long, but not so intimidating when you realize it's shorter than a full playthrough of Dragon Quest 7.

If it's entertaining, why should it matter how long it is? Someone in the OP thread started it recently and is bulldozing through it. I probably wouldn't recommend that since it's very easy to get burned out, but hey as long as he's enjoying it.

you can skip filler and a lot of the padding/flashbacks
i know 2 people that recently did it with no problems and theyre now hooked

Rinne no Lagrange ep 1

It was pretty interesting. School life portions were as dull as I expected but the robot part was pretty hilarious and cool. Antagonists are all actually pretty interesting. I found myself spending lots of time just being amazing at how clean and nice everything looked artwise, the water, the clouds, and the robots. Really visually pleasing. Music was nice.

Just seems like a big undertaking at this point. Even if you watched an hour a day that's about half a year just to catch up.

~Bartender~ Episode 1 (revisited)

I wish this show was licensed and had a DVD release, I'd buy it in a second.

It is going to be interesting watching this show again as I've been following the manga since my first viewing. There definitely are differences. This episode alone, I believe, pieced together experiences from a few different characters in to one.

I liked how they split up the presentation of the episode. On one hand you view the characters in the traditional fashion from behind the fourth wall. Then the customer will remove the fourth wall and enter in to a narrative. I find they switch back and forth between the two styles quite well.

While much of the episode does take place in the bar Eden Hall, they do spice things up by providing many different camera angles. Other little details such as the single overhead light in the bar centring your focus are a nice touch.

The music adds to the ambiance as well and really fits with the bar theme. It never distracts and always complements.

Like a fine liquor, I'm going to savour this encore viewing.

Like Arabastia and Skypeia? Yeah, that would help.

And DQ7 was an interminable, mindnumbingly tedious grind. Great point of comparison!

Utena 26

I've a soft spot for Miki episodes it seems. Also the current dueling theme is lost on me. I assume it's clear later.

Princess Tutu 6

What a beautiful little show. Nothing like I expected.
What a sad ending to that ep as well.

Don't know what you mean by antagonist, they weren't really featured at all. The art didn't really stand out for me, besides certain character designs. The CG doesn't stand out at least. Storywise nice introductory episode for the mc, but the she could nosedive into some Haruhiesque tropes if overdone. Overall good lighthearted episode, will continue watching.

Usagi Drop 6:
Rin discovers cereal. I love how realistic everything feels with the kids. Rin's reaction to the cereal aisle was like a blast from the past. All of the stuff with the trees was really well executed. This show manages to hit all the right emotional chords for me.

Just seems like a big undertaking at this point. Even if you watched an hour a day that's about half a year just to catch up.

Why worry about getting caught up, though? If you like the show, it just means you have a lot more to enjoy. And if you dislike it, then you can just stop watching. It took me a couple of years to get caught up with the Detective Conan manga, but I didn't mind because I enjoyed every moment of it.

Same thing that's with magical girl fanboys and overcompensation ;D
You can't just blurt out "YOU TOO" and expect it to make sense.

You are literally the only person I've spoken to that has not liked Arabasta. It's a good arc.

Skypeia is good too, but flawed.
I would suggest that there is a selection bias involved in hanging around the manga thread.

One of the best aspects of the show is music. I felt like they really captured that 'classy bar' setting in the music (even if Eden Hall isn't really all that majestic). I listen to the ost pretty often still. The opening and ending theme follow in that same sense. I really like the ED in particular that it's a live action sequence in a bar ended with the cocktail of the week being served. Those little touches really make the experience richer.

Dude, Forester's posts are FILLED with overcompensation. More with Nodame than anything else, but he definitely has some regarding Utena and Princess Tutu.

I don't even read the OP posts in the manga thread anymore for the most part. I'm talking about anime only watchers.

Goddamit Cwarrior, you're turning off the few animugaffers that actually plan on starting it :/

I don't think spaming nice art is going to turn off gaffers who are planning to start it, it is however adding fuel to animugaf’s hate for one piece but those gaffers where never going to jump in a long running anime they already hate.

so gaffers get offended by nice art, but no one would have problem If I posted top saimoe loli girls.

See, the real problem is that he's been trying to get everyone to check out Violinist of Hameln and nobody ever takes notice, and your omission only continues this.
