I'm not duckroll, but:
That's for starters.
Those are all great, absolutely amazing a few of them, but to compare tv series to tv series--crossing out the Shinkai and ghibli--I don't think that what P.A did with Another in those shots posted on the last page looks any worse than the the MPD, or Bunny Drop shots there, a little better than the Bunny Drop shots even. But this is where I'll back up too, because I don't exactly know the pros/cons to doing what P.A is doing vs what Brains Base did(MPD). In terms of efficiency, cost cutting, etc...etc... if there is even a difference.
Any good recommendations for 2011/starting in 2012 anime which are similiar to Minami-ke and Hidamari Sketch?
It doesn't really have anything to do with cost cutting... Usagi Drop and Penguin Drum just have better background artists and visual designers. Like I said, there's nothing horribly wrong with the first and third Another shots, but the second one is bad. It just looks like an ugly, boring CG elevator.
Gotta go with BirdyI feel like Tears for Fears is going to have a new tag soon.
GAF, decide what I'm going to watch next: an episode of Birdy or Brain Powerd.
I was going to mention like, fuck, Bebop, but there's probably a hater somewhere 'round here.
You know, 5cm is probably the worsti've ever watched. I wish I could unwatch it somehow.NTR

Wouldn't it have everything to do with cost-cutting, in most series' cases? The choice of CG, or not. And be fair. Selective shots prove nothing, really.
Both MPD and Usagi drop had their fair share of horrid moments too, just speaking visually.

Those bagpipes crack me up every time.
NTR is more about the psychological breakdown of purity and the humiliation of the male love affection than just the sexual act of adultery.I used to think NTR was something like a cuckolding fetish but now I don't even know anymore, man.
I'm still not sure what that word is supposed to actually mean but I hate how people keep using it to mean any unrequited love or even imagined unrequited love. As if disappointing shippers is as bad as actually cheating on your significant other.
Well, to be fair it is a regaulr elevator. I imagine the only guy around with good looking, 'normal' elevators in Shinkai.
Shinkai lives in a world where everything is drop-dead gorgeous.
And yet somehow everyone is still sad.

Sounds dumb. NTR is dumb.
Well since he liked the show I assume he did not deliberately pick bad shots of Another. And no, PA Works uses CG for all of their backgrounds. It's a deliberate choice, not cost-cutting.
NTR can refer to anything you wish it to be; much like hipsterI used to think NTR was something like a cuckolding fetish but now I don't even know anymore, man.

Here's FAKKU[nsfw site,]'s description of it, which is pretty much what netorare is.
Netorare (寝取られ, also referred to as NTR or cuckold, is a genre where the intent is to cause an emotion of deep jealousy or distress in the reader. A direct translation of the word results in the definition "having your lover taken from you" or "to have something taken from you while you sleep". This is often accomplished by having main protagonist's loved one seduced away from them, with or without their knowledge.
It's fine for wanking off, but when it's used for cheap tears in movies like 5cm it kind of pisses me off.
Eh, you haven't seen many films about unrequited love have you? It's fine for wanking off, but when it's used for cheap tears in movies like 5cm it kind of pisses me off.

You do know that's bannable right?
My problem with Bodacious Space Pirates isn't that it is similar to modern day Japan, but that they spend too much time establishing that their world is similar to modern day Japan with a few gadgets here and there. World-building doesn't have to rely on putting every unimportant detail at the forefront, especially when it robs the script of whatever small momentum it has.I agreed above about how it's sillily similar to modern Japan, but it might have been pretty cool with real pirates too, yeah.I liked the episode anyway though.

Still dumb and your continued attempt to apply it to 5cm Per Second when it doesn't even make sense befuddles and angers me.

Main protagonist is in deep love for like a decade or so with a girl who moves on, finds new love and marries some other guy. How am i supposed to feel other than getting NTR'D?!
Sometimes wanking off and cheap tears go hand in hand.
The only atonement you will ever obtain is by letting yourself get NTR'd.Fuck. Fuck. I am so damn sincerely sorry for forgetting the spoiler tags.
Damnit.
The whole point of the movie is that the main characterHow you missed that and interpreted it asis so obsessed with the past and his dreams of the future that he forgets to live in the present.is beyond my comprehension, but somewhere along the way you made some serious mistakes."look at this failure lose his chance at love! Doesn't this sexually excite you?"
Oh, but you see, Shinai's story here doesn't lend itself much credibility in that regards. I mean, I understand the motive behind the story and what the moral is. But.
It's a bit ridiculous that the protagonist (after moving) doesn't visit her if he's so deeply in love with her. I mean, okay, i'll accept that text messages don't really get their feelings across to each other, but japan being as small as it is and railway transportation being so common there, there are just so many things wrong with a story that credits itself to being "realistic"
I don't think that's a problem. Long-distance relationships rarely work. Well, I actually know two couples where it did, but most of the time, it doesn't. And even a couple hours trip is a long-distance relationship.
The only atonement you will ever obtain is by letting yourself get NTR'd.
