Season 3 and end of season 4 spoilers:I saw the cast photo for season 4, and Hank was in a wheelchair, my dumb mistake for looking, and stupid Entertainment Weekly spoiled that apparently Gus goes boom at the end of season 4? Either way, I'm never reading that magazine again after it was right there.

I am interested in Indo-European, and specifically Germanic so English would be a part of that. I would like to study both Old English and Old High German eventually. I've done some study in Old English but not enough to read anything without having a dictionary and grammar in hand. But also I would like to study Japanese. Since I'm already fluent in Modern and have a decent grasp of Classical, and I just find the language fascinating.
My other more minor interests are in French and Welsh.
He actually just started back on the road to his dreams once he retired just last year (he stopped because he wanted to raise a family, but he never stopped playing and writing music.) I don't think he has anything posted online, but he has a band and they play some gigs.
I've always loved languages and specifically old languages, but I never thought about linguistics until I took some classes in it myself. It quickly became a major passion of mine.

Haha. Well, all the Celtic languages are interesting to me. I want to look into Welsh specifically because my family was from there originally (that was many many generations ago, though.)

It makes me so sad to see people give up their dreams. I mean it's one thing to lose interest or realize you aren't suited for it, but to just give up is heart breaking. Especially at a young age. I have a friend who gave up writing many years ago. She says she is a terrible writer, but she never shares any of her work so I can't even tell much less help her improve if that's what she's after. She just gave up. I don't like to see anyone do that :/
So don't do that! Besides, you've got RP-GAF as a nice support group. Hahaha.

It sucks so much seeing someone close to you so passionate and confident about something they've accomplished only for them to throw it all away. Giving up has not even crossed my mind, thankfully. I have quite the healthy fanbase already and I'm only 1 year into my career. Sure, I think it would be much better if I didn't live in Saudi Arabia (and I'll be honest, it does bug me sometimes) but I try not to think about that. Overall, I'm satisfied with my progress so far. I have no excuse to stop, and neither do you!

I can't actually speak any Scottish Gaelic but my grand-parents can.
On my dad's side my family is pure Scottish originating from Elgin/moray near the highlands. They would make fun of me from living in Glasgow because it was basically like betraying my Scottish heritage.
My mum's side completely breaks apart any chance of me being completely Scottish. My mum's side basically brings in Canadian-french genes into the mix (so basically french) so unlike most Scottish people, I can actually go for a tan without ever burning. My black/brown hair comes from China. (Yeah, you heard it) I have many older-generation aunties who look Chinese. I do not. I just have thick hair which is incredibly dark. My hair is so dark that now, twice a month. A random stranger will ask if I dye my hair, and twie a month a random stranger will be told no, I don't.
I don't know how I managed to start rambling on about my heritage, but new conversation topic, go!
