It's going well for now. My teacher is back in Japan for a while on vacation, but it's because of the lessons that I've been able to get to a point where I can watch anime raw and get 80% of it so long as it isn't military/techno jargon.

'bout a few years, but they're only once a week, and there are frequent breaks when she's either on vacation in Japan or whatever, so we're only halfway through the 2nd book. Which reminds me I REALLY need to go back to the first book and do some review, I'm forgetting words! >_<

At least "Listen to your father" is shamelessly clear about what it is from the beginning. On those grounds I could maybe say that it's less bad than Bunny Drop even though the content is worse, it's blatant about what it is from the start. Something completely horrible from the beginning, versus something that starts out normal before going awful... you could definitely make a case for either of those being the worse one.
I'm certainly not going to be watching it, though.

This actually was a minor plot point in the Pokemon anime dub, due to the localization team pulling some amazing shenanigans to make a nickname translation from over a hundred episodes prior make sense.

I can read/write about 160-200 Kanji depending on how my brain is on a given day. Not as fluent as I would like, but better than when I started the lessons where I could read all of 20, >_<

Kind of a mediocre start. Tagiru is pretty annoying, but at least Taiki and Yuu are around. The other humans seem kind of interesting, and Gumdramon seems okay. I'm not big on the premise, though. Capturing Digimon is a rather dumb idea. I came around on Xros Wars, though, so I'll stick with the show.

Is it? The characters are so generic that I can't help but feel indifferent, yet I somehow keep watching.

This was pretty great. Definitely had a Gintama in high school vibe as others have said and it also has Sugita basically playing Gin which is always a plus. I'll be sticking with this.

Hey, you guys said it was good, so I watched it.
And, I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting drama and angst, but instead I got comedy, humor and pretty much extreme randomness. I lost it at the end of the part of the wind girl, so I guess I'll be tuning in.
