Oh shit, just saw all of the coaching news. How in the fuck did Mike Mularkey land that Jaguars job after that shitshow of a playoff game? Jesus christ, I feel sorry for Tamanon and Iapetus, and that new jags fan, whose name I forget.

Haha! Well put. I love reading fans of other teams' opinions on this like they have half a fucking clue as to how bad Schotty was.

It's funny reading Mortensen on Twitter. I don't think he's ever questioned or criticized a front office or coaching hire. Though he did sort of insult Bufffalo by saying "1 of his 2 seasons was 9-7 and people in this league know issues there"

Just from the way they spoke to the press after their interviews I was left with a strong impression that Childress got a "we will be in touch with you" while Schottenheimer got a "lets meet again soon" response.

Also, not only is Childress creepy as hell, but he also somehow manages to bore the shit out of you while he's creeping you out.

entire 49ers vs. cowboys 1981 game is being played on NFLN. this is a fucking comedy of errors by both teams. if alex smith played the 1st half that montana did he would have been booed off the field. then again alex smith has no wiggle room with our fanbase at this point in his career

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—A person familiar with the situation says the St. Louis Rams have received permission to interview Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski for their vacant head coaching position.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on Tuesday on the condition of anonymity because the process is supposed to remain confidential.

The Rams also have interviewed Jeff Fisher, who’s expected to choose this week between St. Louis and the Miami Dolphins.

Chudzinski interviewed for Jaguars’ head coaching job but lost out to Mike Mularkey.

Under Chudzinski, the Panthers finished seventh in the league on offense while setting a new franchise record for total yards in a season. The Panthers scored 47 touchdowns.

God damnit Rams, just wait out that old fart Fisher. Leave our coaching staff alone!

He always bags on Buffalo since they fired his boy toy Tom Donahoe. Loves to take digs, who hired Mularkey, Donahoe. Who traded a first to move up and take Losman, Donahoe. Who could've used that first to move up into the top ten and take the Rapist, Donahoe. Nah, who wants a top 3 QB when you can have the fourth best and all for the price of a first. Who wasted a first round pick on a running back when the position was filled, Donahoe.

Keeps harping on Greer and Peters being finds by Donahoe, doesn't give any credit to the position coaches who helped them get there, and never points out the countless errors. No OL but you keep picking running backs, nice job.

Cowher couldn't stand Donahoe, and as soon as they got rid of him after Cowher won his little battle, their drafting got much much better. Let's not mention any of that, right Mort.

Who's sitting at home for 6 years, Donahoe.

Seriously...

Do people now really believe that the Jets will be that much better offensively?

It's the off season for most of us, the time to let our inner optimist out. " Jarmarcus will be a stud", " Bob Sanders might be healthy for once", "Beck/Grossman might not suck jnc:". Let the 2012 regular season crush our spirits and let the 2013 Draft renew our spirits.

Does anyone have any info on how the tech behind the digital yellow and blue lines in NFL broadcasts work? Do they track the position/viewing angles of the camera in real time?

I laughed. Pretty good

Yes! I don't know if he is a HC ready or not, but why not find out? I'm worried about Fisher. I think the specter of a move and it being a story all year is going to hurt them as they look for a coach. I could see him sit out another year. Rams b/c of the move, and Dolphins b/c of the front office dysfunction

Ohhhhh. I noticed him drop Donahoe's name a couple days ago about Greer. Weird that he would carry that torch for so long. Surely Donahoe's been out of the loop so long that he's not of much value as a source

Meanwhile, Mark Davis said it’s imperative the Raiders move into a new stadium and he has had discussions with groups in Los Angeles about returning the franchise to Southern California. Davis made his first public comments since taking over the organization in October following the death of his father. Davis says he has no plans to sell the franchise but wants to move the Raiders out of the outdated Oakland Coliseum.

The team’s lease there runs through the 2013 season. Davis says CEO Amy Trask has talked with officials in Oakland and with the San Francisco 49ers about sharing a stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. He has talked to groups in Los Angeles but said he hasn’t received an offer he likes. The Raiders played in Los Angeles from 1982-94.

"We’re trying to get something done up here (in Northern California) but if we can’t, we’ve got to get something done somewhere because we need to be able to compete," he said. "And that’s where it’s at."

The Coliseum lacks many of the modern amenities that generate more revenue for other teams.

hmm

I wonder if the Patriots will let Denver build up a lead early again.

They let Denver lead early 16-7 the last time. They let Miami lead 17-0 at the half. They let Buffalo lead by 21.
Living on the edge.
