Jinbe's duty regards Big Mom, he reports it to King Nep and Luffy. Per instruction by some soldiers, Luffy removes a bomb in the Tamatebako. (When the criminals were arrested, this bomb was set in.) He returns it safely to Neptune, who requests that Luffy settle with(?) Big Mom's subordinates. Nami replies angrily that she already did all that. Nep worries that the bomb was set there as a challenge to Luffy.

Some random pirates who fled FI are captured by Captain Tashigi and V.A. Smoker. Smoker hears who defeated Hody's gang, but the pirates refuse to tell him until he forces it out from them. "I already knew, idiots."

Note from a later post: Smoker convinced the pirates to talk by offering to let them go.

This volume broke up the level of weird and also the level of depressing I get from the past ones.
Between Punpun masturbating under the rain, Punpun's mother wanting to masturbate in her hospital bed after she fell in love with a 16 years old (which would seem Punpun's old friend? somehow), the revelation about what really happened in the first volume between Mrs and Mr Onodera (she's a crazy bitch), the relationship between her and Punpun (until this volume I didn't really got that she hated her son and her son hated her).
In one word, weird.

Tip of the iceberg. I find the most depressing chapters of PunPun to be the upbeat ones. After so many good things happening to Punpun you know some soul crushing is headed his way.

I don't think I'll ever understand the concept of death in Bleach again. If Ginjou was a substitute, he was human right? So if he dies as a human, that means he becomes a soul, doesn't it? And heads to Soul Society anyway? Or does battling a shinigami mean they fucking kill your soul as well? Do you remember when bad dudes got dragged through that Hell-Gate, so early on?

Well considering that he only did the war thing since he got the last kyubi mode, I'm pretty sure it's the only time he used both on the same battlefield (after all he did use sage mode against the raikage while the other kyubi clones were there wreaking shit up).

One thing I'm very interested in is that Oxe guy, candidate #4 I believe. He's pretty much the only one I didn't predict would make it into the final 4 cause he's been so insignificant.


Is he just kind of a spot filler or will he actually do something interesting in this final round to surprise us? Normally I'd say no way, but this is HxH.

Thanks goodness Riruka is gone. It felt great to be back in the Soul Society and seeing familiar faces after so long, visoreds too, what a surprise! Nice conclusion chapter. Though a three week break wont be good news for the anime, assuring that it will catch up to the manga and force another 25wk filler arc...

Hope the next arc is Soul Society and frees Aizen.

Though for sure Hisagi Shuhei would have become a captain.

Talking about them dies fast because most people don't read beyond the big 3. That goes for here too. Before I did a check and found most big 3 posters post twice a week entailing 2 reads. I doubt they are reading beyond the big 3 and just holding back posting.

Instead of discussions we sort of just all do our own write-ups. And those that regularly do the write-ups post quite concisely. Example: 4 write-ups on T7 recently with things called "paragraphs." The average write-up for the big 3 is about 10 words and then everyone argues for 10 pages. So discussions outside the big 3 sort of occur through more detailed write-ups, if you get what I'm saying. And since they are good write-ups, there isn't much to rabble about.
