I don't get why Frankman's ban was so short. The three times I was banned, they were all a month, so I thought that was the standard rate. I see some people get preferential treatment. I wonder who Frankman performed sexual acts for for a reduced sentence...

Supposedly, next week's Hall of Fame inductee announcements will be Yokozuna and Mil Mascaras.

Wasn't Mil Mascaras announced when they were in Mexico?

Yokozuna is an odd choice. I mean, a lot of people knew who he was back in his heyday, but he was around for 4 years at the most.

Looks like 6 actually. 1992-1998.

Edit: Nevermind, he wasn't active those last 2 years.

I got banned for six months back in December 2009 for saying "I wonder how many of those Xbox 360 sales were people buying new consoles after the MW2 mass piracy bans?" in the November 2009 NPD thread. A fuckface mod seemed to perceive that as fanboyism, despite the fact I didn't even own a PS3 at the time and banned me for six months. I almost didn't come back.

Mods visit these threads, you know. No need for the f-bomb.

Bans are all over the place.... and vary by mod.

I got a 2 days ban for posting a rickroll (years back)

A 6 month ban for saying fuck you to Blackace

A three month ban for telling someone to go fuck their Forza disk (also years back)

A 2 week ban for joking about Renegade Ops - duckroll was in a bad mood

..and a weird 1 month ban for posting Battlestar Galactica quotes during ApocalyPS3 - which I still think was a mistake.

But, No more bans for me, I am a good R-Truth now.

Yoko's last appearance on TV was Survivor Series 1996, so 4 years on TV. They sent Yoko out to lose a massive amount of weight. They weren't happy with his progress and saw him to be an extreme health liability, so they cut him in 1998 after he was unable to pass a physical from the New York State Athletic Commission.

Yes.

The lesson here is and always is...Never go to Gaming side

Never post to gaming side

Never talk about anyones consoles

Never talk about anyones games

Don't say the F word "Fanboys"

You go to gaming side you're entering no mans land.

Fuck gaming side

Yeah I said it.

That Ryder injury is clearly a work. It might even WWE writing him off for a while in response to the ratings.

I really like Otunga's current gimmick and enjoy whenever he gets air time. Honestly he could do so much better than Jennifer Hudson it's not even funny.

I agree.

Just curious, how many more people are worthy of being inducted into the HOF? As stated in the get to know you questionnaire, I started watching in the 2000's. I mean, I know of a lot of wrestlers who were great in the 80-90's, but aren't most of the memorable ones in the HOF already?

Doesn't his Wiki page state he eventually started intentionally gaining mass? :\

At an estimated 760 pounds, he had not only gained the weight that he had lost but admitted he was intentionally getting bigger with a goal weight between 850 and 900 pounds

Damn son :(

I got banned for 2 weeks for asking where I could find scans, which was interpreted as me asking for someone to post the scans in a famitsu thread.

I was never able to find them. :lol

Triple H is coming soon - which will be glorious and possibly held on a floating gravity defying stage. The Rock is still not inducted either

Favorite 3 wrestlers of all time:

Current Fave Five:
1. Cody Rhodes
2. Ted DiBiase

The Rock Talking about pie and the Shockmaster

At this point they still have off the top of my head for easy ones:

Sting
Rock
Taker
Edge (which they just used)
Booker T
William Regal

Managers:
Vickie Guerrero

Didn't you also get banned for saying "play the console version" in a thread with people complaining about a bad PC port?

That was Renegade Ops - which was a joke. I even had the PC version preordered at the time, and even gifted two versions to GAF. I blame Sega for pushing the game back so much, and making duckroll insane.

I want to get to know more of you better, so fill out this little survey! Especially if you're a lurker - we can all connect in better ways and share our love for wrasslin' together!

Honestly I like Otunga, the guy actually works hard at house shows and the like

Favorite 3 wrestlers of all time:
1. Stone Cold
2. The Rock
3. HBK

Current Fave Five:
1. R truth
2. Henry
3. Punk
4. Bryan
5. Funkasaurus / Otunga / Percy Watson OH YEAH

Earliest wrasslin' memory?
WM IX at Caesers palace, I specifically remember hating IRS

Favorite promo, or promos?
Jerucho debut or Austin 3:16

Funniest wrasslin' memory?
FUNKASAURUS

Favorite finisher?
Stunner

Yes.

The lesson here is and always is...Never go to Gaming side

Sad but true. I stay pretty far away from gaming-side despite being a pretty big gamer.

OT is good, and quiet, and you're not usually banned by surprise because someone's got a weenie-on for a PC game, etc. That, plus we know how to conduct ourselves. I hung my head low when some sad shit made a topic called "what game would you want to be buried with?"

Sad shit.

This is why I rep Wrassle-GAF!

Favorite 5 wrestlers of all time:
1. Foley
2. HBK
3. Stone Cold

Current Fave Five:
1. Ultra Mantis Black
2. Daniel Bryan
3. Eddie Kingston

WWF when I was like 4 the bolsheviks were singing the russian national anthem and I was like what the heck is this.

Favorite promo/Funniest wrasslin' memory?
Scott Steiner. Enough said.

Figure 4

At this point the HOF could use a reboot. There are too many joke and "celebrity" inductees

But as of right now you still have most of the 90s stars, a handful of WCW stars, and then the Attitude era is filled with guys yet to be inducted

Odds are they will probably try and induct Stacy and Torrie this year or next - solely because of their current relationships in the hope of mainstream media attention. However, in saying that, they are good divas to choose too.

Not surprising. That's why Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia are in the Hall of Fame.

btw I am really enjoying a lot of your 'first wrestling memory' stories. So cool to see what hooked people.

So this WrassleGAF questionnaire has me thinking, what's everyone's Top 10 Favorite Matches?

Mine in no particular order are:

Austin vs. Bret Hart - WMXIII
Austin vs. Dude Love - Over the Edge '98
Austin vs. HBK - WMXIV
Jericho vs. HBK - WMXIX
Jericho vs. HBK - Ladder Match - No Mercy '08
Mankind vs. HBK - Mind Games
Undertaker vs. HBK - WMXXVI
Cena vs. HBK - Raw from London - 4/23/07
Edge vs Mick Foley - WMXXII
CM Punk vs Cena - Money in the Bank 2011

That's right; TWO Cena matches. :lol
And ZERO Blandy Boteton matches.

Favorite 3 wrestlers of all time:
1. Kurt Angle

Wrassle-GAF and the OT itself are the prime era WCW/NWO to the Gaming sides "CZW" and "Hulk Hogan's midget wrestling"

Crazyness. The Edge-Orton match that was supposed to happen in the UK that got bumped because Randy Orton RKO'd a hotelroom was awesome and up there for me.

So this WrassleGAF questionnaire has me thinking, what's everyone's Top 10 Favorite Matches?

Man.

Mine will end up looking like a WCW Nitro card, because almost all of my favorites were with right-at-their-prime-yet-veterans against up and comers. Things like Curt Hennig vs Perry Saturn.

Yeah, like when I saw Drew Carey in there, I was thinking to myself that they've run out of inductees.

I have to think about this. It would have a mix of WWE, WCW and ROH for sure. But it would require some thinking.

Favorite 3 wrestlers of all time:
1. Stone Cold
2. Keiji Mutoh
3. Chris Jericho

Current Fave Five:
1. "Funkasaurus" Brodus Clay
2. "Hi, my name is" Dolph Ziggler
3. "Soul Man" Danny B
4. "Mr. Excitement" Johnny Ace
5. "Charles Montgomery" Punk

Earliest wrasslin' memory?
Can't remember exactly, but I remember reading about AAA in a Lucha Libre Magazine. This was back in their early years when they were huge. So around 93-94ish. I was actually a bigger Lucha Libre fan than I was a WWF or WCW fan at first.

Favorite promo, or promos?
Way too many but one that sticks out would be Vince and Shane McMahon on Raw AND Nitro at the same time. Even today that still freaks me out. Shame that the Invasion sucked a huge bag of dicks. :(

Funniest wrasslin' memory?
Again way too many. Funkasaurus and Danshoku Dino's "No Laughing"...thing are two recent ones. Santino's antics in 2007 were probably the funniest things since I started re-watcing WWE back in mid 2007. Sin Cara Botching in NWA was funny too.

Favorite finisher?
Crippler Crossface
Honorable mention: Poison Mist (Not really a finishing move but I always mark out for it)
