Alright then save that avatar for me next offseason. I know how you like to lose it in bets all the time.

I think I already know what your avy is going to be.

bets i've won this year:

vs. DM
vs. beast
vs. wellington
vs. bionic
vs. some arizona guy

bets ive lost this year:
vs. baltimorelarry

so.... yeah

After canvassing sources around the league, NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora doesn't believe Peyton Manning will end up with the Jets because "it just doesn't add up to where he wants to be."
ESPN's Adam Schefter suggested on a Miami radio show Thursday that it would be a "difficult hurdle" for Colts owner Jim Irsay to overcome if Manning is adamant that the No. 1 overall pick should play right away because it's important to his development. NFL GMs have suggested to LaCanfora that teams such as the Seahawks, Cardinals, or 49ers are "possible destinations" for Manning. CBS' Charley Casserly calls Arizona the "one team to watch" because they can get out of Kevin Kolb's contract and coach Ken Whisenhunt has experience with a Super Bowl-winning QB at the end of his career.
FMT just blew a load. Imagine Peyton on that Niners team. Also on the Cardinals with Fitz

Looks like a soft schedule to me. Just like the 49ers.

Can't wait to hang that avatar on you. Spoiler Alert! It's going to be a pic of me teabagging Alyssa Milano.

well we did play the sorry ass bucs, the most fraudulent 3-1 team in the history of the league. luckily we put them in their place and they never recovered. oh wait, they recovered to beat the 2nd most fraudulent team in NFL history (2011 saints)

p.s.

regarding alyssa, i'm not jealous. there have been plenty of times where some moustashioed gentlemen joined in on our escapades so do your worst!

Is it Saturday yet? I need some sweet sweet Niners action! I havn't seen my future Super Bowl champs in nearly 2 weeks! Alex Smith is gonna style on that weak ass Saints defense while Aldon Smith gives Von Miller a metaphorical middle finger with his 5 sacks on Brees, 2 of which happen while Brees is trying to pad his stats after the Saints are down by 40. Its gonn be ugly early....... for the Saints!!!!!! ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha

GO NINERS BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no fucking way in hell Peyton goes to a non-contender like the Seahawks or the fucking Cardinals. Stupid report is fucking stupid.

whoever wins, we all lose, so go FMT's! Always bet on the sexual deviants. Always.

Don't hate. My Niners are poised to take things all the way this year. Harbaugh is the best coach in the league and has the firmest handshake. And if I learned anything from Hank Hill, its that the sign of a good man and leader come from his hand shake. Plus we have Alex Smith slanging to VD and Crabbles all day baby! Not to mention the best defensive player in the league in the form of P-Will!

That's exactly what people said when they got Warner

Rings Warner got with Cards - 0
Rings Warner got with Rams - 1

Cardinals are the black hole from which no true talent can be as successful as it should be. Fitz on any other team would be challenging every Rice record on the planet. Fact.

WW is 100% correct. Cardinals were a .500 team with Kolb and Skelton. Obviously Manning isn't an upgrade over those guys. They'd be lucky to win 4.

NFC West teams that had Super Bowls stolen by Steelers - 2

We were discussing them being a contender and making the Super Bowl with Warner is a contender. It's not an opinion, it's fact.

Edit: Looks like I'm dealing with a troll, nevermind.

...troll? Seriously? Are you new to football shit talking or something?

Warner was an afterthought though, everyone believed he was done after his stint in NY, tank was empty so they brought him in to backup/tutor/groom that USCrub.

Manning would be a different situation, no one really believes he's finished.

But yeah, they probably would contend, any team that has Manning will contend.

Welcome to the fold, brother!

Haha, well, I was just giving an example, but should we get the Packers/Patriots Super Bowl everyone assumes is happening, I'm with Rodgers. No way in hell am I rooting for Brady and Co. Or should TexansGAF and TEBOW~! both get eliminated next weekend along with Big Blue and the Saints.

Also, raises a good question: are there any consensus "rules" among NFL fans governing cheering for other teams once you've been knocked out of the playoffs? Do you cheer for teams alive still in your division because them winning makes your division look good, or do you cheer against them because they're your rivals? I've always wondered that.

As a Bills fan, I feel somewhat uniquely qualified to answer this question. (I will, of course, defer to any lurking Browns fans).

Root for whoever plays against the Patriots. That's the only rule.

EDIT: And I thought I was being pretty clear about joking about the Cards/Manning thing. This thread swings from rampant silliness to deadnuts serious. Fucking hilarious

Is that all it takes? One slip of the tongue and bam, you're a packers fan for life?
Why else would there be so many of us? It's like any addiction: as soon as you admit to yourself that it might be okay, the next thing you know you're standing outside in 10 degree weather shirtless, drinking beer with a triangle of foam cheese perched atop your head. Happens all the time.

See? It's contagious!

My rules are usually:

1) root against teams I hate.
2) root against the team that knocked my team out of the playoffs. (obviously, only applies if we made the playoffs)

'07 was tough, with the Giants knocking us off and going against the Pats, who were obviously the root of all evil and needed to be destroyed. I was pretty lethargic about that SB, even though I enjoyed the carnage of the Pats losing (and even moreso in retrospect)

Rules:
  • Don't cheer for anyone in the division.
  • Don't cheer for the Patriots.
  • In the event it is someone from your division vs the Pats, cheer for a meteor or volcano or something.

In the event of a premature season end, I just want to see interesting games. I cannot wait for the 49ers Saints game.

I don't root for anyone since I hate everyone not a Packer, and some Packers.
