Dolphins like cowboy coaches.

The only good thing Johnson ever did with the Dolphins was picking up Jason taylor and Zach Thomas.

Jeff Fisher, 4 winning seasons in the last decade.

Dave Wannstedt, 4 in 5 but only 2 playoff births with some of the shittiest quarterbacks. Don't feel too bad Dolphins fans.

If this dude was so hard up for Harbaugh last year, why isn't he trying to land a couple of coaches from the college level that are just as good, or was it the NFL ties that got him hard.

Hope Schotty goes to Bama, that would be amazing. Saban will just tell that dumb fuck to run the ball anyway.

Alright, looks like the only other team looking at Chud is the Bucs and...

MikeLupocaSN (Mike Lupoca):
Pretty much confirmed: #Bucs are down to Childress and Schottenheimer, with all signs pointing to the latter. #NFL

Hopefully we've dodged a bullet.

But lol at the final two for the Bucs including Childress.

Bama only throws slants when Schotty is in town.

Doesn't look like it:

Fisher also was a strong candidate to fill the Miami Dolphins' opening. At one point Wednesday night, one source said it was "80-20" that Fisher would choose Miami over St. Louis as his next job.

However, the Dolphins and Fisher could not agree on the structure of the organization, league sources said. Fisher was willing to make some compromises, but the Dolphins wanted general manager Jeff Ireland to remain as the No. 1 man in the organization, and ultimately, it helped unseal any potential deal with the Dolphins, according to the sources.

Hoping Saban choses Washington (Huskies) OC. Or even that ex-Jag's OC Koettner, over Schotty Jr

Yes. It was discussed here for a bit. Then flacco and the Ravens laid a fucking egg in the next game.
Huh? Are you being ironically prophetic? Those comments were just made two days ago.

Flacco said, "I don’t know. I don’t care. We’ve won a lot of games around here. This is the second year in a row we’ve won 12 games, I could care less.
Couldn't. COULDN'T. I'm far from a grammar cop but god that irks the hell out of me.

I would buy stock in my Saints if they offered it.
Why did Green Bay do that to begin with? I think its a cool idea, but why didn't other NFL teams follow suit?

And people never seem to learn.. it's ALWAYS used. It's the one thing that gets me.

They did it to raise money for some Lambeau Field expansions. Another 7,000 seats are on the way, I think. They can do it because they are owned by the public. I don't know if other teams would be allowed.

He said something like this a few weeks ago. It was all over the news and shit.
Right, but that was different than what Larry posted which was a recent interview given on Wednesday. Now, if they lay an egg against the Texans....

It makes no damned sense.

"I could care less."

.....ok. I'm waiting for you to start caring less.

*whistles*

It must be nice to live in Green Bay this time of year. I imagine I would want to move out around February 15th after being cold so long.

Whether for a little extra money or just to say they had worked a day inside Lambeau Field, Green Bay Packers fans turned up by the hundreds to shovel out the stadium for Sunday's Divisional playoff game against the New York Giants.

A line that started forming by 4:30 a.m. wound around the stadium grounds by the time shoveling began at 10 a.m., according to Packers facilities manager Todd Edlebeck.

Only 450 made it in to work, and nearly 800 more were turned away.

"We're sad to turn them away but 450 is about what we can handle," Edlebeck said.

Did anyone see Joe Flacco's interview when he basically whined and bitched about not being considered an elite quarterback? He came off like a total child.

Here is hte article from the Baltimore Sun

Reading that article he comes across as more of a baby than he did when I saw the actual video yesterday(?)... the video made the comments seem pretty lighthearted.

Although "You guys want everybody to be Aaron Rodgers..." and so he grew this:

Nope, three quarters Irish, the rest a mixture of Scandinavian and German lineage.

Do I seriously look Asian? I never heard that before, although my friend actually told me last night that I look "gooky" i.e. squint my eyes whenever I have my picture taken.

Haha it's hard to see anything in that pic.
But I've been seeing a lot of the Asians crop up... now I'm blindly accusing everyone!

At the Leo's bars! There are two in Lansing and one over in Okemos.
Never knew that. Only been to the Lansing one and had pizza. Wasn't bad.

I was thinking about going to Reno's because they have a lot of TVs but their food isn't that good so maybe not.

The second story on the football (read: soccer) and weekend sports preview show on BBC Radio tonight is....... Tebow.

Reno's West has notoriously bad service. Went there after kickball games and it always took an hour or so to get food. Reno's East is okay I suppose.

Yeah I went to East.
I'm rarely in Lansing unless it's to go to Zap Zone. Pew pew.

I'm also creeped out by the Hooters Jr. outfits.

There's some really loud Bengals fans which are always hilarious to watch when their team loses. I'm sad that I missed it last week.

Denver Post had written about the girl who went through the surgeries.

He does seem like a genuinely nice person off the field.

It is going to be awesome when we make him president for life after he wins the Superbowl on a 99 yard run on the first play in overtime.

Wait, other Dolphins fans are really upset we didn't get Fisher? I'm perfectly fine missing out on him.

Honestly, Fisher feels like a "safe" hire, but not a good hire. I'm sure he could improve the team, and overall we may be more competitive year to year, but I don't see Fisher making us an excellent team that contends for the playoffs year in and year out again. I'd much rather roll the dice on a hot prospect than a retread. Maybe other Dolphins fans are so hard up for some success that any sign of improvement is welcomed, but it isn't enough for me. A decade of sucking just leaves me feeling like we deserve a lot fucking more.

Not only do I want to see playoff football again, I want to watch exciting football each and every Sunday again. That's something Fisher definitely would not bring here.
