Code Geass Ep. 23

isNKprCGHOvXG.gif

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

If you think thats jumping the shark, you just wait for R2.

What's this jumping the shark nonsense? Geass gets a thousand times better, then dips at the beginning of R2, then gets a thousand times better than the a thousand times better.

I thought R2 was great but I hate how
They did that cart scene at the end as if to make you think Lelouche was still alive.

Well no shit, Sunrise wasn't sure at that point if they were going to do an R3 or not! They had to keep their options open just in case!

Also, in a show like Geass, I doubt Sunrise could have restrained themselves from throwing in one last troll at the end.

Pretty much the entire movie is like that. It's one of the most imaginative films I've ever seen, while also telling a wonderful coming-of-age story.

But it's actually all about Marxism.

No no no, it's about under-age prostitution. That's what that guy said.

Pretty sure it was confirmed
he isn't.

I know, I just don't like the fact that they did it at all. Otherwise great series.

Yeah, it was a nice troll at the time of airing. They threw a bone at the fans and then later retract
the scene, saying it was made for the fans or something similar to that effect

If I hadn't watched Code Geass R2 and Macross Frontier side by side I wouldn't have been able to appreciate the former's brilliance.

Just like how Angel's Egg is about losing virginity.
Yeah, but unlike that comment about Angel's Egg I've got a source: http://japattack.com/japattack/film/spiritedaway.html

Though Chihiro of course never actually provides sexual services in the film, it's obvious to me from the many details I've pointed out and the director's confessionóthat Sen to Chihiro is a film about prostitution. Oddly, no critics have pointed this out. Parents take their kids to the theater and look like they don't care. Maybe most of them just think it's a fairy tale. And maybe some people who do notice are just holding their tongues.
Kaonashi might have come from Miyazaki's subconsciousness. I can't help but associate him with two infamous pedophiles. Of course, the first one is Lewis Caroll, who collected nude photos of little girls, including Alice. Miyazaki is so fascinated by Alice that he ripped off the face of the Cheshire Cat for his famous TOTORO's face and the Cat Bus. And the another pedphile Miyazaki reminds me of is Tsutomu Miyazaki (no relation), who kidnapped three preschool girls in the 1980s and killed them. In the court, he told his dream where he played in flower garden with girls he killed. I know the association is too impolite to discuss for a respectable children's film director like Hayao Miyazaki. That might be why no one wants to discuss the sexual elements in Sen to Chihiro.

Blind wheelchair moe?

And yeah, Geass has only begun to Geass at episode 22. The entirety of R2 is still to come! I watched R2 as it aired, it was one of the best shows I've ever watched while airing.

No, blind wheelchair hnnng.
Im not using moe anymore because people dont understand what the fuck it means.

Carnival Phantasm 9 and 10
The 5th Holy Grail Grand Prix! was totally amazing. Everything about it was amazing, from Lancer dying, BESER-CAR!, Assassin and his portable shrine love and everything in between.

Grail-kun also has the best ideas. Got a problem? Stab them.

The Kohaku, Akira and other people stuff wasn't bad. I do want a Detective Hisui spinoff.

Code Geass Ep. 25

Wow, if I had been watching this while it was airing, I would be pretty pissed with an ending like that. Well, I think's that enough crazy for tonight.

Calling Lewis Carroll an "infamous paedophile" is a piece of completely terrible and ignorant slander. He didn't "collect nude photographs of children": he took them. He was a professional photographer, and did so with the parents' consent.

Apologies for the tangent, but that crap begged for correction.

Nisemonogatari ep 2

Nadeko is a slut. Karen is awesome. Kanbaru is fucking nuts.
This pleases me
Get ready for some bitches being bitchy
And don't forget the COACHIE
So the company that just picked up Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, S'more Entertainment, apparently has also licensed the Galaxy Express 999 TV series for NA disc release. No date or other details yet for the latter, though.
Hype for Galaxy Express
Nisemonogatari 2

Terrible garbage anime for nasty perverts.

I liked it.

Onto Yami 13!
NAKAMA
I'm not sure which episode this is because it's been forever since I watched Geass, but they are late series spoilers, so view at your own risk. It's something that made me laugh.

Haha glorious

Princess Tutu 16

Stop corrupting pure hearts, Mytho. *shakefist* It was nice to see Edel lived on in some fashion as well.

I don't really understand why they'd pick up Galaxy Express 999, a show no-one has heard of. Moreover I really don't understand why it's a disc release - the show is a 112 episodes long, they're just looking to lose money on something like that. If they were putting it up for streaming that might be a different matter.

Who knows. Interesting to see a new licensor to the world of anime, at any rate. And the series is already up for streaming in a few places, so there's no reason to add another one.

I've...heard of it!

But yeah, that's bizarre. Throwing money away.
