I mean they make a pretty big deal out of both the Queen and Chihaya being bitter about the match. Would they really go through all that trouble to set up stuff that will only ever exist in the manga?

I'm assuming more training/team building stuff really. Maybe they'll slow down and go back to some of the character stuff set-up during the recruitment phase of the show before building up to them walking into a tournament hall before fading to white/black. I'm sort of resisting the urge to fully read through the manga, but I'm sure someone can confirm what actually happens.

He only appears in like volume 14, independent of Chihaya - but with the Queen - at the Meijin tourney.

Episode nearly put me to sleep, I dont even feel like searching for gifs or screencaps of it. Like others said, second half of the episode had nice action. First half was lacking. Tracked playing during the preview feels so overplayed in the anime already, its not even, in my opinion, a good song.

This is something I can't really get a grasp on either. I want to say that
The Queen
go out of their way to show obsessiveness,
her implied desire for a friend and have her show up at the school club and/or society.
That's the only route I can see atm. Unless the show plans to get incredibly redundant. Even more so than it probably will get as is.
Has happened before , but moreso because of physical deprivation than due to anime. Although I fell asleep during Tamayura because it was too relaxing.
It really depends on what I am watching. It happens more often with full length films.

The most offending part here is they use fake anime hair. All you need is a nice long natural brown hair.

Chiba's first appearance! And it's as a background character with a single line of dialogue. The police cast is starting to come together somewhat. The case itself is pretty nice; not one of the most memorable stories, but decent enough, and Haibara has some nice moments as ever. I really wish TMS hadn't put so many Detective Boys stories all in a row, though.
It's only happened to me a couple of times, but I have sleeping problems anyway, so I'm not usually falling asleep while I do something.

There was no reason for her to pop up at the Tokyo tourney, as she had neither met Chihaya, or even been introduced to the audience. Now there's a motive, if were to just figure for the moment that the Queen is that obsessive and/or Chihaya just has that much pull, lol. It's a crazy one, but the fact that I'm even suggesting the idea just kind of goes to show my general dearth of great ones.
