Man this debate is just the candidates saying "wah, wah, wah, you're wrong, I'm right!, wah, wah, wah"

All debates are. The Obama vs whoever the Republicans choose debates are going to be garbage too. All of these politicians are ridiculously scuzzy and shitty.

Nobody ever attempts to explain how and why health care should be a state issue rather than a federal issue. Do some prefer shittier health care than others?

herp derp lamestream media being big meanie-heads

But it's not like the elite liberal media decided to reveal something on their own, his ex-wife came out to give the interview and reveal what she had said. He didn't even actually address what she said. But it's as if the crowd heard an angry men say the words ".........LIBEAL MEDIA.........ELITE.....OBAMA" and that was enough to applaud. The same fucking crowd would applaud him for criticising same-sex marriage on the basis of traditional Christian values.

It was the same when the stories about Cain got out, his supporters - partly because they agreed with his stance on marriage - chose to instead attack the media rather than out the contradiction and re-examine their support.

I think the republican strategy going forward is going to be to throw their shittier ideas that are losing foothold in opinion for the general population toward the states. This way they can't be fighting for some thing that people generally don't want or vice versa. They can dodge the question, send it to the states and let the red states hold out even longer.

God, I hope John King's question on his ex-wife will rile up the tea baggers enough to side with Newt at the polls.

States know their citizens better than the federal government.

Insurance companies can take advantage of 50 different regulatory structures a lot more easily than a single federalized standard

And I don't remember any Republicans at the height of the Clinton scandal saying "God will forgive him" either. People can just deal with massive amounts of cognitive dissonance, I guess.

Whenever Romney argues for Romneycare it sounds like he's arguing for Obamacare. It's hilarious. King should ask whether people under Obamacare will be keeping private insurance.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. If you just tuned in it would sound like Romney was giving a full-throated endorsement of Obamacare.

Heh, yeah, I really want to see Gingrich win South Carolina just to keep the craziness going for a little longer. Then Romney and Gingrich can spend some real quality time poisoning each other.

Romney just took Obamacare off the table in the general. Holy shit.

I knew he couldn't run away from Massachusetts health care for long. They have one of the best healthcare systems in the country, and its one of his few accomplishments as governor of the state.

Santorum is solid?

I must have missed something.

Rick Santorum said:
“I’m sort of the guy at the dance, when the girls walk in they sort of walk by, and they take a few turns at the dance hall with the guys that are a little better looking, a little flashier, a little more bling,” he said this week. “But at the end of the evening, old steady Eddie’s there. He’s the guy you want to bring home to mom and dad.” A third- or fourth-place finish might allow him to go to the next dance in New Hampshire.

Supply-side economics, here we go.

Edit: Damn, in an alternate universe where Gingrich gets the nom, Obama should hire Santorum to attack him.
