I am not surprised that John King started off the debate with that odious question. Did he not realize he would play straight into Gingrich's boilerplate attack on mainstream media outlets and allow him to take the high road?

I'm also perplexed that they have him walking on the same stage as the candidates. Is this a debate or the John King talk show?

This isn't providing any informed political discourse. It's childish theater.

Paul was obviously against it from the beginning.

That said, it's easy for the Republicans to side against SOPA/PIPA. The Democrats are the ones getting all the Hollywood money to promote SOPA/PIPA, so the Republicans lose nothing by fighting against it. Not only that, they gain huge populist benefit and expose the Democrats on this issue.

Most Democrats are against it as well so it's not too big of a issue now

Eh, I thought Obama has been against it for awhile now?

Goes to show the power of full-scale Internet protests.

When Wikipedia went dark, I knew about 75% of the politicians would reverse their stance. No one wants to be known as the politician that broke the Internet.

I'd like to think Wikipedia made that big an impact, but I fear that it's simply republicans being against the bill, because (more) democrats are for it.

One time I would like a moderator to call these assholes out on their bullshit.

It won't. All of these debates are a fucking farce.

They should take a page from *gasp* the Euro-style welfare-dependent countries and give the moderator some balls to call politicians out on their bullshit.

Guest worker program run by credit card companies? What the fuck does that even mean?

Oh wow, it would be hilarious to watch these morons sitting on a citizenship panel saying yes or no to brown people wanting to remain in the country.

This is America learn Spanish. This must be the only country in the world whose idiotic citizens are so proud of speaking only one language.
