Otokonoko time. The play was pretty funny, and I loved the hilariously stilted dialogue throughout the whole thing. They did a great job selling the whole thing. It reflected well on the series and managed to provide some good character moments for Seikichi and Sora, and I liked the contrast between the stilted play dialogue and Sora's ad lib that came straight from her heart. It was great stuff.

Samurai Champloo disappointed me. It had a great style and likable characters, but after Cowboy Bebop the formula of anachronistic misadventures in a far away land doesn't pack the same punch.

Looks like that first OP was unfinished after all. Not sure how I feel about the color scheme, but it's kind of neat.

Anyway, this is my favorite episode to date. The plot kicks into action, the introduction of the new guy is appropriately ominous, and there's plenty of Senjougahara to satisfy me. It could have just been that the story stopped being aimless, but the direction felt less watered down than the previous two episodes. Very excited to see what happens next week.
