How come it takes so long for a movie to come out on DVD?
For example, the newest Naruto move, which hit theaters in July(I think) 2011 isnt coming to DVD until April 2012. I noticed that for a lot of other Anime movies. how come? In the US it usually 4-6 months.

I think your question is a little confusing. Do you mean why does it take so long to get here on DVD? or why does it take so long to go from theaters to DVD in japan?
I love the way Granny Setsuno, the living national treasure, says Century Soup. Decent episode, introducing the gourmet corp people was nice. I just wish the head guy was revealed, and we get more Starjun action next arc, oh and for Bogey to return.
I liked K-ON!, but episode 13 was clearly on another level from the rest of the show, a level that I imagine will appeal to more people. I haven't seen S2 yet, but if it continues that approach of avoiding the sometimes awkward gags to focus on painting a beautiful picture of friendship, I think there would be some merit in telling someone who's not entirely happy with the start of K-ON! to skip there and try it out.
role of the main character changed to Aru. He was sort of seen as the leader of the group of people looking for Yuki and Yuno. Speaking of, Yuno has lost her sanity once again. I think Yuki needs to deal with her sooner rather than later.
Rook would have visited Kaito at his school and present himself as a kindhearted person. So soon at least. The puzzle in the tower was cool. Rook is prepping Kaito for the Divine puzzle, even if that means using unorthodox measures. Gonna be interesting to see what the Count is like.
If this was the pacing they were going to take with 26 episodes, this should have been a 12-episodes show. Just get on with the goddamned Bodacious Space Piracy, already! Mou! At least they actually had some (comparatively tame) fanservice this time around, although the mysterious lack of pantsu-view in a zero-G environment continues to baffle me. The show is beautifully animated and even the CG space object models look good, but Raptor Jesus on a Pogo Stick, COULD SOMETHING PLEASE HAPPEN ALREADY?!

Now THAT'S how you do a finale. Was close to tearing up when the music started during the INFINITE GATTAI PUNCH and then again when the constellations were being shown. So beautiful. And was that an English version of the main theme I heard?
Anyway, this was a very good show with a few flaws ranging from minor to significant depending on who you ask. But first, the good stuff.
The mech battles were quite visually appealing and well choreographed for the most part. I know there's a big hatred of CG around these parts, but I honestly couldn't care less with how smooth some of the mech's movements were. There were some issues here and there, but not enough to really mention. This is exactly what I want out of the Super Robot genre even if it isn't half as epic as TTGL (though it got close 1 or 2 times).
I also really liked Apollo and his interaction with the other characters. The way he grew and was integrated into DEAVA was really nice to watch. I made this comparison before and some might find it odd, but I think it's similar to early Naruto and his challenge of trying to fit in. Quite heartwarming when you really think about it.
And of course the music. Some might be annoyed that the main theme would play in nearly every episode when shit went down, but I honestly love when it's used that way. The very first episode had all the intensity of an endgame thanks to that and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Now for the complaints. Silvia and Sirius; they are assholes for 90% of the show. The former not shutting up about the latter was just ugh. Yes we get it, you want to have sex with your brother. WE KNOW! Of course Sirius is just an all around prick. I was hopeful that his behavior might be justified (at least from a story perspective) when he
betrayed DEAVA
but that really didn't do much. And let's not forget that both treated Apollo like shit even after he saved them
at the cost of his best friend.
Not the time to be tsundere, you incestuous whore and douche of a brother.
And this is just a minor complaint, but the episodes in the late teens and early 20s were REALLY unnecessary. Had this been some long running show, then yeah, you could call it amusing filler, but not for 26 episodes.
Anyway yeah, great show and I'm glad I didn't have to wait 7 years for the sequel.

Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time 2:
Tagiru still sucks. Oh man, though, when
Shoutmon returned and We Are Xros Heart started playing
I cheered repeatedly. That was so awesome. I also got to see mai waifu Nene in a still picture. Now she just needs to show up properly.
It was nice to see Yuu showing some maturity and behaving like you would expect based on his past experiences. I'm not really feeling the show just yet, but there have been some nice moments.
Watashi no Chisana Uma: Yujo no Mahou Desu 40: Putting background characters and the forefront (and with voice acting) so suddenly for jokes can be a little be fucked up, but this was a fan-favourite so I can't complain. The episode itself was fairly straight-forward: a simple mystery plot with a sappy ending, because this is family entertainment that needs to have morals and that kinda crap. It wasn't as strong as last week's, but I chuckled at some of the antics between the main cast. I sure missed them, and hopefully this marks a change in focus for this season. I've thoroughly hated how most episodes have been centred on the little onee-chans.
That action scene at the climax was a lot more bodacious than Boring Space Not-Pirates.
I was told to watch this dubbed and I have no regrets. Nonsensical plot, over the top gore, and ninjas. You'd think this would be impossible to screw up and you'd be right. The dub was a cross of some bizarre fandub, a reading of fanfiction akin to Full Life Consequences, and MST3K. This is some sort of national treasure. Of what country? I couldn't say.
The episode where the teacher tries to date Lum was pretty blergh.
Somewhere in here I realized that the voice cast of Gosenzosama Banbanzai all had major roles on UY (Inumaru = Ataru, Inumaru's mom = Sakura, Inumaru's dad = Ataru's dad, etc.) which seems like an obvious and important connection. derp.
Many voice actors carried over into Maison Ikkoku as well.
Chibi -> Godai
Rain girl and some other single ep roles -> Otonashi
Mendou -> Mitaka
Megane -> Yotsuya
Benten -> Akemi
Ataru -> Sakamoto (Godai's friend)
One of the spice girls (I think) -> Kozue or Yagami
...off the top of my head. Considering it's the same studio and director and MI took over UY's timeslot it's to be expected. I do know that Lum and Ichinose do not carry over though.
heh interesting, back when it came out the unanimous reaction to the ending was WHAT? FUCK YOU SHOW. I guess when you know there's a sequel and it's out right now it isnt the kick in the balls it was back then

The best part of the OVA's is that it has all the magic of the TV series and fixes the biggest issues, not to mention, it somehow tops the really awesome ending the TV has in the coolest possible way.
Heavy Metal L-Gaim 1:
Pretty interesting first episode. Mecha wielding bandits in the desert is an undeniably cool idea, and the characters seems interesting from the beginning. As first episodes go, it isn't that bad, although I don't know too much about the world yet. Also,
that scene with her arm getting cut off was just amazing.
Android Market: "This item cannot be installed in your device's country."
Me: Fuck you.
Android Market: "I'm sorry, I do not understand this query."
Me: FUCK YOU.
So how am I supposed to get this Android app outside of Japan, anyways? Ah well, I haven't watched Madoka yet anyways.
