Since Raw's in town here in Phoenix today, local radio station KUPD did a pretty entertaining interview with CM Punk; he shoots pretty straight during the whole thing and though he never names names, he talks about how he's "done with girls" and tells a funny story about how he lost his virginity and another about running the Boston Marathon

Oh, and hey, I've been lurking since June and you guys have given me so much entertainment while watching Raw. I guess sign me up for the Rumble, too.

--As of yesterday afternoon, Randy Orton was not scheduled for Raw tonight but he is scheduled for Smackdown in Tucson tomorrow and the plan was to advertise his return for Friday on Raw tonight. Orton is in the Royal Rumble. Orton actually returned yesterday in Las Cruces, NM, doing a house show attack on Wade Barrett after it being announced earlier in the show that he wasn't there and was being replaced by Ted DiBiase (who is actually injured and didn't wrestle either).

--Hulk Hogan's return to the U.K. looks like it will lead to a lot of publicity for himself and TNA this week. He is booked on ITV1's lunchtime show "Loose Women," which would be the U.K. equivalent of "The View" on Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. The show is watched by around 1 million viewers daily. He's then appearing on talkSPORT radio in the U.K. on Wednesday on the Hawskbee & Jacobs show between 1 and 4 p.m. (thanks to Stephen Lyon and Lee Wall)

--The Indian TV network Colors, which is available in both the U.K. and the U.S. (DishNetwork Asian package and AT&T UVerse international package) debuts Ring Ka King, the show currently being taped by Jeff Jarrett and crew in India on both Saturday and Sunday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern, the same time slot local time it airs in India. We're looking for a correspondent to cover the shows, which feature a lot of major wrestlers both in TNA and former WWE talent like Chavo Guerrero and Harry Smith.

--There was a major screw up with the WWE Axxess VIP tickets presale this morning. The packages were supposed to go on sale for $130, however everyone who ordered due to the screw-up was charged $60, which was the General Admission charge. This went on for about 25 minutes until Ticketmaster fixed the problem. The WWE has agreed to accept all of those tickets purchased at the low price with the screw-up. You can get tickets today before the public using the code AXXESS. (thanks to Kevin O'Brien)

--With Johnny Gargano out of action, the new Friday night Dragon Gate USA card for Los Angeles at the Airport Westin is:
Cima & Ricochet vs. Masaaki Mochizuki & Jimmy Susumu for the Open the United Gate title
Akira Tozawa vs. Pac
Masato Yoshino vs. Naruki Doi
Young Bucks vs. Chuck Taylor & Rich Swann
Low Ki vs. BxB Hulk
AR Fox vs. Sami Callihan in an anything goes match
Jon Davis vs. Caleb Konley

Wow, they ask him if he's got siblings and he says he's got two little sisters.

Wow, he's clearly talking about Beth, lol.

No idea why they keep planning to have Orton return before the Rumble.

It's his hometown, why not have him return during the Rumble itself, like so many others who have returned during the match?

He'd get a huge reaction and could continue his thing with Barrett straight away.

So 3 down whos next to lose their championship

Daniel Bryan.

Rhodes doesn't have any one worthwhile lined up to lose it to.

And although they haven't done anything with the Beth angle as of late, I don't see her losing it to anyone yet.

Punk won't lose it cause Punk+Jericho Wrasslemania.

Still sucks for Kofi. :(

I was watching Survivor Series 09 last night since I managed to nab it for £3 recently, watching the Team Kofi Vs Team Orton elimination match was surprising. Kofi is the last man on his team left alone to face Orton and Punk who had been World champions as recently as the previous 2 ppv events. I'd never seen the match so I wasn't sure of the outcome but I was sure Kofi would lose but no, he managed to beat Punk and Orton clean by himself, how the hell did they screw up this momentum?! (the build for the match was when Kofi put Orton through a table at MSG, Kofi was riding a hell of a push)
It's a very fun elimination match as well.
And then there's Kofi now, the unmoving mid card man who never recovered from the "STUPID! STUPID!" moment. His tag team run with Bourne was great fun while it lasted, it sucks to see it over due to Bourne's blunders.

Daniel Bryan isn't losing the title till Wrestlemania. The WWE must know that they created something great in Daniel Bryan. They can't put it on Big Show because he got Shaq. Mark Henry still can't work a match because his groin strain that he should of let heal instead of continuing to "wrestle" thinking that he would lose heat if he took time off. My best bet is Beth.

I just looked up the "STUPID! STUPID!" moment, but I'm not sure of the context. What did Kofi do wrong?

It looks as if Kofi is supposed to stay in a punt position but keeps moving into one for the RKO, possibly the match was supposed to have a punt evade to trouble in paradise which in turn gets countered into an RKO, or maybe Orton was just supposed to punt Kofi.
In the end its just Orton getting visibly angry over something pretty minor and Kofi's push vanished immediately after.

This is really my favorite time of the year for WWE for 2 reasons.

1) They have so many ways they can go between the 30 man Royal Rumble and the two Elimination Chamber matches, I love when wrestling keeps you guessing.

2) The rest of the year can be such a clusterfuck for booking but Royal Rumble > Elimination Chamber > Wrestlemania always gives it some structure.

The Iron Sheik reflects on losing the WWF Title to Hulk Hogan on this day 29 years ago:

You know what would be awesome for Wrestlemania?

Daniel Bryan holds onto the title and even wins his Wrestlemania title match. But, as he is lying there too worn out to celebrate, the winner of the 2012 MITB match from earlier in the night cashes in to take the belt.

I would prefer Orton or Barrett in this spot.

It would be karma for the heel Bryan.
