I canceled my Hori case and went with the starter kit instead. All in all I'm getting:

• Vita 3G with pre-order goodies
• Starter kit
• 16 GB memory card
• Everybody’s Golf: World Invitational
• Lumines: Electric Symphony and Rayman Origins since they were mis-priced on Amazon.co.uk for £5.96 each
• Asphalt Injection and Dungeon Hunter: Alliance since the shipping would otherwise be £8. Now I'm getting four games for £24.31
• Super Stardust Delta with the pre-order discount voucher

Have $350 left in GameStop store credit. Have a Wifi Vita on preorder but am considering switching for the First Edition. Help me GAF and tell me my Wifi decision was the right one.

yeah, it is. i switched to the first edition bundle but only because i want the exclusive case and i want it a week early. if they had a wifi version in the first edition bundle i would have went with that.

edit: but then again you do get a kick ass case, a $40 game and a $20 memory card. i know i'm not helping.

amazon is also selling the "travel case". it zips up and has lots of room in it. i think one poster said his 3ds could fit in it with his vita. that and the one with no sides (the leather one that came with the vita bundle in japan and is actually quite nice because it acts as a stand for watching movies) are the only official ones that are not being sold in a bundle kit (early edition or starter pack).

that's great news, but as you say, until the blog reports it i will take it with a grain of salt. i really hope it is though. i would love to pick it up at launch.

Siliconera is reporting that Gravity Rush will be a US launch title.

They're quoting the info from an SCEA fact sheet. But that could be outdated info. As soon as the PS Blog confirms this, I'll believe it.

100% confident the fact sheet is outdated. Sony showed the Day 1 lineup on the Blog. We just have to accept that Gravity Rush will be a launch window release.

This just makes me want the First Edition more. lol

Agreed. I'd easily drop Uncharted for Gravity Rush. But personally, I think SCEA should hold on to Rush for a late "launch window" release. There are already a lot of quality titles dropping on 2/14 & 2/21.

I would have been happy for them to drop one of the other titles to have Gravity Rush be a launch title instead. I'm torn between several other titles that I will pick up day one with my Vita, but Gravity Rush would beat them all if it was available. That game looks so awesome, I'm tempted to just import it if it's not coming out til April or May.

Finally broke down and did it, got the First Edition bundle. And will order a microfiber cleaning cloth with it. I am planning on getting Escape Plan day 1 and play that.

I will play Little Deviants while waiting for other games to come in from Gamefly.

Preordered/Pre paid 100%
PS Vita 1st Edition
Uncharted GA (Locked at $39.99

I want to buy the cradle and screen protector, any way to get Release date delivery on those?

I'm tempted to import it from Japan anyway just for the bonus artbook. Sadly, I don't think the JP version will have an English option (somebody please let me know if it does!)

I'm really, really hoping Gravity Rush comes out at launch or at least close to it; when Amazon emailed that the release date had been pushed back I was disappointed. I hope their info is wrong, but if it ends up being a late launch window title I'll probably buy Shinobido or DW Next to keep me occupied in the mean time.

It seems Uncharted is getting some kind of multiplayer component

When I asked one of the developers regarding multiplayer for Uncharted, he said that we should expect "something different", and that an official announcement will be coming soon. Now, what that "something different" was, he wouldn't say. If I were a betting man, some kind of co-op would be interesting and different for the series.

Man, I'm so pumped for this thing. I hope UMvC3 will be like $29.99 digital download and not that big.

Secondly, what do you guys think about this? Woud you like to see the following on the Vita: Ports / New Entry in Console Series / New Games?

I'm not quite sure what Sony is going to do about this. In one instance, I wish Sony would port every PS3 game to the Vita and therefore I could get a true console experience in a portable. Which is honestly why I'm buying a Vita. I don't want to use up the television in the living room. I would like to play my video games while my wife is watching TV. And I yearn for console experiences. This method of co-development would require a lot of extra development time and money, and would require the games being the same price, etc.

However, the alternative is new games in the same series, and sometimes I feel that these stories are watered down. Like I was thinking about it. The point of Uncharted games is to find the treasure at the end of the game right? So in Uncharted 1 -> Uncharted 2 -> Uncharted 3 that goes fine cause we don't know whats going to happen. Put Golden Abyss before Uncharted 1 and now I know he didn't find any ridiculous treasure. I guess that kinda kills some of the fun for me. Maybe I'm being picky.

I guess another wish would even be remote play, but I hear that does not work too well, and also you'd need to have a good internet connection. And they have said it works the same as the PSP version as in game compatibility so, this is not even an option.

They can also make unique experiences to the PS Vita, but I doubt any company would seriously devote the time to make a ridiculous blockbuster (like Uncharted 1) on the Vita with no other system to launch on. Army Corps of Hell looks awesome but I'm sure it didn't have the production budget of Uncharted 1, or God of War, or Ratchet and Clank (you get the picture).

So what do you guys think? Do you think we should have ports, new entries, or completely new games?

I want, and hope we get a good mixture of all of those things. The Vita as a piece of hardware seems capable of pulling off almost any genre effectively, so I hope it gets a good diverse range of games.

I want all of those, and I want expanded remote play.

Don't hurl stones at me but I think the Vita may benefit from a game like Gravity Rush coming out mid-March to April. Gives people a steady flow of content, and gives Gravity Rush a little room to breath outside of the crowded launch release.

But man I want that game!

it would be nice if we could pre-purchase some games on PSN like you could during the PSN PLAY promotion

would gladly pre-purchase MLB 12 The Show at Vita launch so I wouldn't have to worry about paying for it come March 6th

Nah I think you're right. Gives people something to look forward to once they've exhausted their launch games.

IGN has a handy-dandy article telling everyone why they shouldn't buy a 3G Vita. Not going to link to it. It's truly as stupidly obvious as you think it is.

Other sites reported the Gravity Rush story too. I think it's Sony's fault though if the fact sheet said it was coming at launch and was believed to be accurate info.

hori screen protector is now up in amazon.ca
Sweet. Now I just have to find some things to add to the ol' cart for free shipping.

That thing looks more than just a screen protector. I didn't realize it covered the entire face of the Vita. Do they make one for the back as well?

i have not heard a thing about the umd thing for the states. sorry. doesn't mean it isn't going to happen but if it was i would think we would have heard something by now.
