The PlayStation Vita In 2011-2012

Hmm what's that term they use for HSG multiplayer? Like you don't have to be online at once to play? Just take turns whenever your party wants to?

yea that one has been on my radar since im a zipper fan :) hopefully they pull off a nice solid game.

I think unit13 needs a demo to convince people, it has no name, looks kinda generic too, the best advertising if it turns to be a good game is trying it. I'm onnthe fence on that one, looks like peacewalker meets mgs4 meets socom

It will have a demo.

Erm, I don't know if anyone else caught this on the US Blog post about Modnation's online play. Erich Waas (the guy who made the blog post) added a comment in comment 64 on this page

I appreciate the feedback on the blog. It’s great to see people passionate about ModNation Racers: Road Trip. As a gamer, if I saw a game I was looking forward to playing didn’t have a feature I wanted, I’d be bummed too. I didn’t expect everyone to read the blog and agree with me or for the blog to smooth over strong feelings on the matter. My intent was to explain the position the development team took when designing the feature set. A couple of you have mentioned that MNR PSP had online play and this is of course true. But part of the decision to not include MNR:RT at launch was that the percentage of MNR PSP gamers who played online. The percentage was in the single digits. I imagine if we said MNR PSP didn’t have online head-to-head prior to its launch, the reaction would be the same. But in the end, not many actually played online head-to-head. All this said, the development team is looking at online head-to-head in a patch. This wouldn’t be available day-1 of the PlayStation Vita launch but it is indeed something being researched as I type this.

I'd not noticd it in the US thread or this one so apologies if we all knew this already.

But again (as I've mentioned when this was brought up) a big part of that is is because it suffered from cheating.

The trouble with the PSP is that no only did you have custom firmware allowing cheating, you also had that Gameshark program that would run on any PSP (or at least it would around the time MNR came out).

So if you actually tried playing MNR online, you would get in a race, then immediately lose because someone else cheated. After a few attempts, it just wasn't worth bothering with.

Can any of Jgaf/import gaf confirm if the PS2 titles available on PSN work through remote play? I've only seen psx (working) and ps3 titles (Not officially working--yet?) tested so far.

You can relax with the whole "LOL it looks like the iPhone game" schtick for Samurai & Dragons: It's free to play

Well, that definitely guarantees it a try.

Was that confirmed? Cool if so :-)

Yep, see the reply to question 1 here:

Based on that quote from Sony and the actual headline it looks like the usual Destructoid - making up shit to get hits.

We already knew that Resistance was getting MP. Good news for Uncharted. I thought that ND might be helping with the online since they have finished U3.

ND didn't even put up a trailer for Golden Abyss in the Uncharted 3 TV. I don't think they're too happy with that game existing.

J-PSN doesn't have any PS2 Classics.

I suppose someone could login to a US account though.

I wish PS2 classics somehow are playable on the vita in the future with some type of miracle firmware. Truthfully though, I doubt Sony designed the Vita with that goal in mind. But I truly would be amazing, especially with a possible vice city release, than maybe even San Andreas. What would actually be even better would be a true GTA go the system. Rockstar are devs so who knows, maybe red dead or manhunt. Can someone confirm if the same studio that made the stories games are the same one signed up with the vita?

That explains things.

Sony seems raring to fuck things up in that regard. They've already backpedaled on the psx promise of compatibility, and I'm not even going to pretend to hope for the PS2 classics to work on the system, outside of remote play anyway.

Well, that confirm that is basically the same game.

I'm ok with this, seriously. My complain was if they try to charge us for a freemium game, only because is on a console. But I'm not sure how it will work a "Evony-like" game, that require, if you go pro, to check regularly the game, with a console that it will be, in most cases, only wifi.

The Ragnarok Odyssey score in this week's Famitsu (9, 8, 8, 7) isn't half bad. Was expecting worse, since I don't expect Gungho or whoever owns the brand now to have a lot of money to throw around.

Finished Super Stardust Delta/Star Strike Delta on casual.
The final boss is absolutely insane. Dread to think what it's like on regular difficulty.

And yeah, like DCharlie, I've hit the wall on WipEout 2048.
Altima is fucking impossible. 8/8 (or 7/7) every single race, even with normal assists on.
I beat Sol in 2 goes (came 1st too!), but it feels empty after having to skip the Altima race.
I wish there was a way for you to practice the tracks outside of races, but they don't seem to unlock until later.
Also, I had to laugh when I checked the standings after the race... everyone is in Pirhana except me. Fair?

YESSSSSS that is what I am glad to hear about Super Stardust. I will play on hardest difficulty. I am a nut for SSD

The only events in 2048 I genuinely have trouble with are Elite Passing the Zone events in the 2050 league. The Sol one is Zone 60 for christ's sake!
As for races, takes me a few tries in 2050 for sure, but I eventually overcome it. Just like the Golds on Phantom in the other WipEouts.

I haven't played a WipEout game properly since Wip3out, so I'm kind of rusty, I guess. I remember filling up the table of golds in that, though. Surely Sol Zone isn't that bad, since there's no walls :P

Im just not that good at Zone in general. Once I get into Mach 1 I'm like a goddann pinball... Or in Sol's case, I'm flying off the track every few seconds lol. I hit 61 on it, so I passed, but I'm dreading elite passing the other 2050 Zone events.

EDIT: SON OF A!!! I really wish it were possible to disable barrel rolls in Zone. Who in their right mind uses barrel rolls in Zone. Argh! Lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLA7J9A-iJQ here the trailer if anyone want to see gameplay. Its part dungeon crawler/monster hunter with dungeon building?

P.S. the character design look weird
Hmm, looks...interesting. How does that dungeon building stuff work? Looked like farmville or something. Guess that is why it's free to play.

Ya, the Character design looked sketchy as hell. At least they have a huge breasted mage I guess.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Resistance: Burning Skies to include multiplayer
Uncharted‘s multiplayer was described to Destructoid as “something different.” A developer said an official announcement should arrive soon.

Reistance is trying to recreate the console experience with its online mode. Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Chain Reaction are all set to return in this handheld spinoff.
Does this mean a multiplayer patch for UC? It doesn't have any kind of MP now, right?
