Probably yes. At least I have heard nothing that implies otherwise.
Yes. I have a Japanese card in my UK Vita.

Is that sarcasm or do you have a prerelease?
does the wipeout and stardust demos require activation on the JPN store?
Could we just download these demos off the web and then upload them to a specific directory on our vitas? Circumventing the need for multiple accounts? At least for demos?
There's no USB access that will give you the directories like the PSP did.

They are trying to fix the mistakes that allowed the piracy on PSP. Without being able to get USB access, all the data that you can put in it has to be monitorized (and restricted) by MediaGo.
But 2 of those 3 are already out, how come you didn't decide to buy Ragnarok next week yet. Buy RO, it'll get online multiplayer patch somewhere down the line and we'll own bigaass monsters together with Kyle and Charlie!Ragnarok, Tales and Sumioni are all maybes for me, but demos should give me a good idea of whether I'll like the games or not.

I just haven't tried the demos yet. Ragnarok is downloaded and Sumioni is on the way now. Been too busy with WipEout and Star Strike trying not to build up unnecessary backlog considering everything is available to buy 24/7But 2 of those 3 are already out, how come you didn't decide to buy Ragnarok next week yet. If I'm not mistaken, the download versions have longer loading times (I think there was a video comparison on a Japanese site or something), so keep that in mind.I just haven't tried the demos yet. I'm not following the West release schedule at all, sorry.Still no announcement for RO for the US?
So between what mediums can Vita save files be transferred to? Gamecard, memory card, cloud...or PS3, PC too? (do NOT want that to be the case for reasons mentioned in a previous post)
Also, is Ragnarok Odyssey and Lord of Apocalypse pretty much confirmed to be coming to US, or is it one of those situations we truly have no idea/may not come?
You can transfer both game data and save files to PS3 and PC.
Thought the demo was pretty fun.. not sure I'd buy it full price if it was released in the West
Quick update for those interested in NEAR
live/work central london - 153 people nearby gaming so far... can only imagine the numbers when this gets released here...
Wow, I wasn't up to date with all the additions they are making to P4 on Vita. Really excited for it now. Am I wrong, or is there an enhanced shader going on in those battle shots? In related (jRPG) news - Persona 4 Vita will get a new town (and a beach) to explore.
I live in Tokyo and have 39 people nearby.Where I live in NYC the most that it shows in near is 18![]()
twentytwo wrote (in the closed JP release thread) that he's been using a bluetooth headset during multiplayer sessions in Dynasty Warriors NEXT and that it worked well iirc.I didn't get a response in the other thread and the Japanese Vita thread is locked, thought I would try asking in here.
Has anybody tried using the official PS3 wireless bluetooth headset with the Vita? Are you able to talk to, and hear, people clearly with it?
I would rather use my headset from my PS3 if it works well enough.

Since it syncs them every time you turn on the trophy app, I don't think there's an auto-sync feature. Half of the games turn off network options anyway, so it would be a bit hard to do anyway.I'm sure it's been asked before but does the Vita auto-sync trophies?
Thanks!twentytwo wrote (in the closed JP release thread) that he's been using a bluetooth headset during multiplayer sessions in Dynasty Warriors NEXT and that it worked well iirc.
Is 'Near' a feature that only applies to the 3G model? Not quite sure how it works. With the 3DS you just leave it on standy and you 'pick up stuff' from other users, does it work like that. Also, if you leave WIFI on will you still pick up 'hits' as you travel?
Confused!
There's a small handful of F2P games growing on Vita.
Regarding my ongoing 3G confusion.........
If you buy a 3G Vita, do you have to sign up to a data plan straight away. or can you just use WIFI and sign up for 3G when you're ready for it?
With regard 3G data plans, what would 250MB a month equate to? How would you use up that amount (never mind 2/3GB!). Unless you're constantly downloading all games available (the 3G specific 20MB max limit ones i mean). If you leave it on while walking around town for example, are you using up part of your 250MB every second its on.
Hopefully the Vita will have an app do that we can monitor our 3G data usage.
If they get that going on all regions, it'll be the best way to capitalize on those smartphone gamers.
Where's icecream when you need her?

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012...n-a-classic-with-lumines-electronic-symphony/· Updated graphics and highly integrated sound. Lets kick this off with saying that Lumines Electronic Symphony is a brand new game. We are now using animated 3D blocks instead of 2D sprites, which allow us to integrate dynamic lighting and animations mechanics. Along with our high quality graphics, we have tailored the audio in our game to be highly integrated with music and game sounds.
Alternative control methods. We are taking big strides in terms of accessibility of Lumines Electronic Symphony. The game will support the front touch screen controls to move and rotate blocks. This will be perfect for new comers to the series. For those focused on boosting their scores, Lumines Electronic Symphony also supports analog and d-pad controls.
A new XP system. In previous Lumines titles, a player unlocked skins based on their ability to successfully reach that skin. This meant that there was a potential that some players did not see certain skins. However, in Lumines Electronic Symphony, we have integrated an XP system. Now all the points that a player receives in a session are converted into XP, so as you level up, you will unlock additional skins and avatars.
New avatars and abilities. Speaking of avatars, we have revamped our avatar system. Previously, the avatar was nothing more than a visual representation of the player. Now, each avatar has a single player and multiplayer ability mapped to them. Unlock more avatars and find the abilities that best suit your style of play.

I dont have any info on the digital version cost at this time.

Im hearing that it is going to come in at about 700 MB, so if you pick up a 4 GB card you should still have plenty of room.

There will be multiplayer in Lumines Electronic Symphony. Even better is that all the avatars have unique multiplayer abilities, so theres a lot variety.
For skins, we can confirm that there are 33 licensed tracks and 10 Q Entertainment created tracks.
Damn, well that pretty much throws out any possibility of playing the Wipeout Pure DLC on the Vita. How disappointing.
Why ? Do the Wipeout Pure DLCs rely on USB file system in some unusual ways ?

well, those are both sony games so maybe they will go back and fix that for vita if enough people bitch.Don't know about Wipeout but Killzone Liberation has a free update that no longer works from the game; you have to manually download the file and transfer it to your PSP using USB.
And now that I just remembered this I am bummed. Fuck.
Why would PSN drop the price? They never do.fuck...i really want this game but 40 bucks is just too much for me to justify it. i hope that if the retail price bombs in a few months that the psn price follows suit.
the fact that psn games are supposed to be cheaper than retail? Why would PSN drop the price? They never do.
The potentially bomba prices wont be RRP, i think that is what Sony looks at when they do pricing.the fact that psn games are supposed to be cheaper than retail?
