I miss Royal Rumble qualification matches.
I can live without Rumble qualification matches. There's 30 spots to fill after all.

What I miss are qualification matches for more important things like King of the Ring tournaments, MITB ladder matches and Elimination Chamber main events.

Lately we just get 'token figurehead du jour' throwing people into these things on whims instead of having wrestlers EARN their spot. I hate that shit.

With the MITB match being at WM again this year, hopefully they have MITB Qualifying matches.

thanks man i appreciate you posting these

WWE officials have apparently decided to drop the Money in the Bank pay-per-view this July and replace it with another concept – the TLC pay-per-view. As noted before, they have been planning to bring the Money in the Bank ladder match back at WrestleMania this year.

Unless the schedule changes again, Vengeance will be replacing TLC in December for this year.
Fucking assholes. They should have done this for WM 27. :(

Oooo, I forgot about this. Hopefully they scale it back to six people, but if not I'm still happy that we won't have two people running around with briefcases later this year.

Speculation: Dolph Ziggler will win MITB

After we noted a few weeks ago that WWE reached an agreement with "The Luke & Duane Show" to feature the song "Just Take Care, Spike Your Hair (The Broski of the Week Song)" on WWE programming. Speculation now is that Ryder may be away filming episodes of his "Z! True Long Island Story" YouTube show for the Network. Again, none of this is confirmed - just talk.

WWE has just pulled Ryder from his appearance with Kelly Kelly at this weekend's Wizard World Comic Con in New Orleans.

I guess WWE network is strapped for Ideas if they are converting his youtube show for the network.

If they make it more scripted it could be good. I'm picturing it like Entourage with the Big O, Chiapetta, and Sanford as his Drama/Turtle/E

Okay the best part about this news is that Wade Barrett is
friends with Papa Shango.

I'm picturing Wade Barrett in a safari outfit wandering the wilds of Parts Unknown, looking to enhance his wrestling abilities with dark voodoo magic. In fact, this needs to be a series of vignettes. Get on it creative.

This would be amazing.

This would be too good. Of course, since it's such a great idea, Creative won't fire on it.

How many times are we going to hear, "Can you imagine X wrestler in the main event at Wrestlemania?!?!?!" during the PPV?

"Could you imagine Daniel Bryan in the main event at Wrestlemania? What a nerd."

"My money is on HHH."

"All 30 of these men are in my fave five, sucka."

I'm probably the only one here who hates joke characters in the Rumble.

Such a waste.

They have their place, though they often milk it too hard. I understand why they're used, but then you have potentially great moments like Kofi facing off against Cena ruined by dumb crap like a leprechaun running around, making faces.

I remember as a kid they would sell it so hard that "anyone" could win the Rumble. They really went into the strategies and all that.

"Imagine if someone like Koko B. Ware could win the Rumble. Think of what it could do for his career!"

Part of the problem with joke characters (and even legends returning for a one-off) is that is wastes valuable time and slots for people to pick up a meaningful feud. The Rumble is a perfect time to launch feuds that'll serve through Mania.

Yeah, but you can hardly use it for fifteen different feuds. There's room.

Nothing will ever beat Hogan/Warrior. Ever. My mind as a child couldn't even comprehend what it was witnessing.

Another good moment was when Ric Flair won. I was actually pissed, lol. I couldn't believe Hulk Hogan lost!

I would agree with you except I'd be taking a hypocritical viewpoint given that most of the active roster is comprised of joke characters right now. Given the choice between a Papa Shango cameo and the likes of Camacho, Curt Hawkins, Johnny Curtis or Mr. Losing Streak Drew McIntyre... I'll take the cameo every day of the week.

Still sounds better than "Can you imagine X wrestler in an 11-minute curtain jerk appearance at Mania where they get completely decimated and land no offense despite heading to the ring with not one but two lackeys - one of whom hails from Planet Funk."

Whoever wins this weekend can't help looking better than Del Rio in the grand scheme of things. ADR only put in a whopping 8 1/2 minutes in last year's Rumble before winning with a grand total of two eliminations... one of whom was Santino Marella.

Is Sin Cara still in WWE? I don't even know what happened to him.

If he's still in, will he return at the Rumble?

Ruptured his tendon when he botched a dive out of the ring during the Survivor Series. Unlikely he will return at the Rumble but you never know.

The best (worst?) thing about the Funkasaurus is that it's teaching us who the WWE believes to be worthless jobber.
  1. Curt Hawkins
  2. Tyson Kidd
  3. JTG
  4. Heath Slater
  5. Alex Riley
I agree with two of those for sure, still unsure about Heath Slater
I miss when wrestlers looked like actual "Men" and not little pretty boys like we have today.

GTFO

Well back then you actually had to learn how to fight/wrestle for real even though it was all a work. You had to protect yourself. These days if you even think of injuring an opponent you're fucking gone. Plus everyone was on the juice.

These days it's not just tough ass blue collar people trying to make a living. It really is more like becoming an actor.

Which makes it much less competitive in the ring IMO
