I was very interested after announcement but the above vid pretty much sold me on it (didn't pursue any more since I don't want spoilers), looks really fun.
It's the fun kind of dreadful.
Not at $40 we don't. I hope it bombs so they're forced to drop the price ASAP. $40 for a puzzle game, let alone one that has basically been released on just about every modern system since the PSP for less than $20, has no business selling well. Even if the game in question is great.
Of course. It's that way for the PSP -- no reason why it would be any different for the Vita.
Yup, it's universal so no matter what system you put funds in, you can access them anywhere.
I don't have a PSP so I didn't know, but looking at the PSN cards I have I can see a PSP picture in addition to the PS3.

no dates have been confirmed. i'm guessing mgs vita will come out sometime this year and zoe vita will launch simultaneously with the console platforms.

it would be really cool if there was a way to get browser links (neogaf webapp) on the homescreen as well. is that function possible? or will it need to just be bookmarked?
I want it but what makes you say that? It looks slightly janky but I'm ok with that as long as the game is fun and engaging.
Tenchu games were always janky looking and this is no exception, but they were awesome. This is basically a Tenchu game (same development team). So if you enjoyed those games, you'll probably like this one.
The first Shinobido was one of the ugliest games I've played on PSP yet it was still awesome.

Here's something I just thought of that would be cool (and probably won't happen)...
But what if you could play a (yet to be announced) music app like Pandora or Spotify, etc. in the background while playing your games.
Now you can play music stored on the device already, but music streaming through/from an app would be pretty nice. I use music streaming services more often than I actually listen to my own saved music.

So I think I'll pass on the first edition. Little Deviants seems only ok, memory card, case, and week early would be nice... but I think I'll keep the hundred dollars. And I actually prefer to have the wifi model. Still, that week early thing is stupidly appetizing. >_<

Wipeout - 40? (or 30? I saw it at 30 from Amazon, but for a launch game, I wouldn't want to wait on shipping.)
Gravity Rush - 40 or 50, but a bit after launch.
Lumines - 40 (might wait on price drop.)
Uncharted - 50 (will almost definitely wait on price drop.)
Army Corps - ?
Any word on how good any of these are? Like are there good reviews for the ones that have already released in Japan? Are any of them released already?

The 3DS version remains the best case available for that system, so I have similar expectations for this. Don't worry about GS, as I have assurances it'll be all over right around launch. Here's to our case troubles (or at least my case troubles) finally being over.

There were videos from the Japanese launch that showed that the load times from a retail cart were noticeably faster (2-4~ seconds) than the downloaded version on the memory stick.
Could be wrong but pretty sure I read in the JP launch thread that the physical version loaded faster.

I'd like to know too, like can I play the Resistance PSP game with dual analogs?
I plan on the Wi-Fi + 16GB card and wait on reviews. I'll probably buy game digitally to avoid swapping little cards, but will try to grab Uncharted card used after everyone finishes it.
You can select release day delivery on Amazon for Wipeout 2048. Or you could always just snag it off of PSN. And yes, it seems to be $30 at most places; Sony released an image listing it at a $29.99 price point.
I think you'll be able to. Resistance Retribution allows you to use two analogue sticks when you sync a DualShock controller to your PSP. It would be pretty odd if they didn't enable both sticks on the Vita (especially when you consider PSP titles that didn't support dual analogue sticks at all have it enabled on the Vita: Metal Gear Solid peacewalker, Monster Hunter).

Apparently with Resistance, you can map the camera to the right analog stick. Unfortunately, the stick is still mimicking digital input; it's not an analog motion. Still gotta be better than using the face buttons tho.
Yeah, you should be able to. During that one JP launch stream they played Peace Walker using two sticks no prob.

Well ended up pre-ordering just the Wifi system and decided against the (Canadian) bundle. I can wait a week, and with a gift card I have to another store, I can get a 8GB card, and either Hot Shots Golf, or Uncharted.

That's really what I would like to know because I am hoping that downloadable games are a little cheaper than retail games.

Waiting patiently for kev to explain why we should get shinobido... because I really want to and can easily be nudged into it 
After watching some of that Shinobido 2 video someone posted earlier, I may end up adding that to my list of titles to pick up during launch week. I doubt I'll get it on day one, since I'll have plenty to keep me busy, but as a fan of Tenchu, this game looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.
If I can earn some extra cash by launch, I'll probably snag it. I'm trying to sell my PSP, but so far, no buyers. It's one of the original Phat PSPs, it has custom firmware on it, and I'm selling the three memory sticks I have with it for $70USD. It works perfectly, but the battery in the unit is pretty old, and doesn't hold a charge for very long.
If any of you Gaffers know the thread where I can sell this baby, or know anyone who may be interested in an old school PSP with custom firmware and some emulators and memory stick, send me a PM, otherwise, it's just going to gather dust, since I won't be touching it anymore when I get my Vita.

Its supposed to release on 1/31 according the Gamestops website. If amazon doesnt have it up by then, Ill probably just pick it up in a store somewhere assuming that date isnt a placeholder.
I love how it holds 4 Vita games. Thatll let me carry around 5 total if you include whatevers in the system. That plus digital downloads, Im not sure Ill even need the bigger case.

Same I was expecting 2 for the pouch like the 3ds one, with 4 I wont even have to make that many tough decisions when it comes to taking games out with me.
