Has anyone's 3G model pre-order changed to the bundle yet? Because on my orders page when I click on the 3G model that I pre-ordered June 6th, it just comes up with the product not available page.

Sounds fine to me then.
The bundle was never really saving money, it's pretty much early access.
Reviews for Little Deviants swayed me so I decided to go for it.

But at the time it was announced, it was actually saving money. $299 for Vita, $20 for 4GB card, $30 for game, which left the case for free. You saved money and you got it a week early. That to me was a no brainer. But now, you don't save money, in fact you don't get your money's worth relative to the standard 3G model. I don't think that case is worth $30. The only benefit is getting it a week early at this point and at the cost of paying more for a case.

Is the US version sim locked, and have they announced a UMD trade-in plan? I stopped paying attention, but the new 3G pack has piqued my interest. Thanks.

Yes the US version is locked to AT&T and no they have not announced a UMD programme and they probably never will for the US. Even Europe will be lucky to get it and we actually bought the PSP and games.

Can we just get 1 vita thread now?

tis is getting confusing.

on another note. theres now a 80% chance im getting a Vita-3G :)
Probably will only get a memory card (16g) and a game or 2.

-Wipeout 2048 (free with 3G vita)
-Uncharted(?) debating it, but highly likely. replaying U3, and i realised i love this series so much.
-UMvC3

and Stardust Delta from PSN

I would post this in the BST thread, but this seems like its more active with people getting the vita.

Anyone getting the wifi version interested in the 8gb card that comes with the 3g/wifi version? Im picking up a 32gb card, so I wouldnt have a use for the 8gb one.

PM me. Maybe we can work something out.

i'd love to see some bundle including a mcard in europe too.
Anyone knows how does gmaps work with the gps? May get 3g with 8gb mc intead of wifi with 16gb. Not sure yet

I thought they confirmed that the free PSN game wasn't Wipeout, HSG, and a few others.

Yeah, I'm a bit upset about this. I feel like I'm getting screwed now. They should at least throw us the 8GB card or something extra at least (the cradle or something).

That being said, it's not stopping me from getting the FEB or my excitement. :-)

What the hell, you have to pay tax for Amazon now? If thats the case its not a deal to buy the 299 bundle.

I will see what newegg offer.

edit: just ordered the same $299 bundle on Newegg. I get faster 3 days free shipping and no tax.

Once again, GAF gaga over amazon for absolutely no reason.

Is this confirmed NOT to be a hint?

Heads up, GAF:

This 2,000 mAh battery adapter (Vita's battery is said to be 2,200 mAh, so almost a full charge) works perfectly on Vita (no need for full power off), and is now $17.XX at Amazon (used to be $25).

Myself, I know I'll hardly use it, if ever, but I want the official, black, 5,000 mAh adapter coming at $50 'Spring 2012', mostly because I don't think the $17 one will fit on the First Edition bundle case mesh pocket.

wait, so I can charge that and get an addition 6 hours from my PS Vita?

Well I suppose it is where you live. I am a Prime member on Amazon so I get release day delivery at no extra cost for my First Edition and accessories. I also do not get charged tax which saves me $30+ for all of the goodies I have pre-ordered. On top of that, my experience with Amazon's customer service has been outstanding. Rarely does anything go wrong but if it does, they tend to bend over backwards to make it right.

Got my pre-orders in:

Wi-fi Vita
8GB memory card
Uncharted
Wipeout 2048

And maybe getting UMvC3. I've got a couple of PSN/PS1 classics I want to play on my Vita too. Though I don't think PS1 playback will be ready by US launch.

Tax free for me and I get it the day it comes out at no cost.

Have a look at the NewTrent IMP1000. 11Ah battery so about 5 full charges. Not sure if it works with the Vita but hopefully it will as I have one :). I'm sure someone on here who has a Vita must have some other portable charging like device to test with to see if it's only Sony chargers that will work.

Captain N, you truly are a game master. That's a lot of games for day one!

I'm restraining myself from going all out, but since I don't really need to get that 16GB memory card, since the 3Gbundle is coming with an 8 gig, I may use that $60 and buy another two games. I haven't decided yet. If I do, I'm thinking they'll be Wipeout and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. I can get UMvC3 for $30, thanks to work, and Wipeout is really, really getting my attention, although I admit to sucking at the series, and not putting much time into Wipeout HD, which is sitting on my PS3 HDD at the moment.

The fact that there are so many games I'm genuinely interested in at launch is the main reason why I'm so excited about the Vita. As I've mentioned in another post, I usually never came home with more than one or two games when I picked up a console, and I've never gotten a console/handheld on launch day. I'll be cleaning up with 5 games on Vita launch, and that's excluding the ones I'm holding out on getting until later in the month/March.

I can't get over how rock solid of a lineup this thing has coming out of the gate. Not every game may sell systems, but the combination of them is what's pushing people to buy day one. There doesn't have to be "One game to sell them all," when you can look at the lineup and easily pick out 3 or 4, or 5 that you'd actually want to have day one, without feeling like you're buying the games "just because" they're the only ones available on the system at the time.

you should skip out on Rayman since has no Multi player and cheaper on consoles

I was just about to blow some serious cash on the Vita, but I managed to hold myself back.

The wait for an affordable Vita system (and or triple AAA titles) is killing me.

Someone on cag said Best Buy had demo units but right now, you have to ask a associate to try it. It was preloaded with Little Deviants.

Another guy said a kiosk mentioned that Vita digital games were 10% off. Not sure what he meant.

i've been mulling it over for a few weeks and ended up cracking when i pre-ordered the n7 mass effect 3 jammy.

i went with the wifi, gamestop gave me the hard sell on 3g but i don't need it. also pre-ordered wipeout and golden abyss. they seem like the ideal launch games. call me shallow, but i would love an fps as well, i'll get the biggest memory card available.

i'm really looking forward to dual analog gaming on a smaller device. nice graphics are always welcome. everybody is taliking about the oled screen.. i'm really curious about it. also, remote play/ps3 integration would be pretty sick. excite!

Paid off The Show today. My Vita stuff is complete for now, I think.

I think I might get Virtua Tennis. Yay or Nay. I love Top Spin and I know this is more arcadey but is it a good game anyways?

He complained of clutter in the game, is it an actual issue (i.e. distracting to the racing) or is he just complaining that it lacks the cleanliness of later WO games? WO has always been visually busy, although usually in a different way, but I'm always so intently focused I don't notice it when I'm actually playing the games.

The first few races on a couple of tracks i did have a few moments of "where did the track go?!" but that's nothing particularly new - WO is always going to be about massive focus on every corner so it's not a big deal for long term players.

i'm basically hard for the show, and i'm not even American.

(whistles)

Vita is horrific for wallets especially if you are going cross regions.
