Well he gets the most damaging Level 1 super in the game in Denjin. I think a good way to implement Denjin mode is to have Ryu second and create a setup where you can DHC into Ryu have him get 2 meters or enough to get to two. This would probably most characters in the game or get them close enough. Denjin mode has potential but the best Ryu players don't implement it cause they start him on point.
 
This game's not supposed to be about being fair. Marvel has been bullshit since the day VS was born.

Morrigan's bullet hell is tame compared to some of the other stuff in this game and in games past. Choose characters that can control it, and don't let her get started.

Things SHOULD be good and effective in the game. It's what makes it really great to watch. Every character has something that makes them MARVEL -- bullet hell is Morri's. Let it be her thing.

Shit like this is probably what stopped Capcom in their tracks when they were looking at Hsien-Ko. They probably looked at gold armor and said "people are going to bitch too much if this unknown character owns them". Dormammu and Trish were already doing lame ass shit in Vanilla, but people weren't calling for patches on streams with 9k viewers watching live.

No, Hsien-Ko should've never been included in the first place, especially with so many other Darkstalkers that fit Mahvel much better.

I was once as salty as you, but about Anakaris.

Funnily enough, Gold Armor Hsien-Ko assist is a definite counter to Morrigan's Bullet Hell.

Re-read what I said, I said if she gets no meter, she won't get AV fireball spam setups more than a few times per match (actual words: once or twice).

I would be cool with that meter gain reduction you mentioned though, even if I think the whole thing would be bullshit, chick isn't even that bad.

It's a damn good way of preventing it from starting up in the first place though. A fast character and/or one with good mobility who can get in the range needed to call her in would be a good way to lock her down. Like Wesker for example.

She is more Marvel than most of the Darkstalkers, especially Anak.

Also, addressing your concerns above... we have tournament data for Morrigan that actually justifies patches? Since when did stuff like locals qualify for nerfs when shit like EVO wins didn't stop Wesker? Yeah...

Ah my bad. That's true though.

I don't think Morrigan is in DIRE need of a nerf, like I said, I'm in favour of letting it rock, and there are a hundred things I'd fix before Morrigan, I'm just saying that when you consider the options you have vs. powered-up Morrigan vs. every other character that has or by design relies on a power up (Hsien-Ko/Arthur), she's stupid good.

Even a 20% damage/meter gain nerf would be enough to make Morrigan near worthless to some though, it's a sensitive thing that is probably best left untouched and for the metagame to decide, like Wesker's glasses.

Like I said, I'm not clamoring for a nerf, just saying it could be tweaked and work out better overall and make her less dependent on a godlike power up mode, that doesn't come with as large of a net cost that others have. Most of these same killers at Curleh Mustache are the same ones that go to the locals, namely Big Two. Nothing justifies a patch until your many more months in IMO.

Hsien ko was an awesome rushdown character in VS. The marvel team just decided that making her a shitty zoning type based around Rimouken was a better choice. Fuck them.

Fuck the slow ass airdash.
Fuck the non cancellable pendulum.
Fuck folding Chuukadan into anki hou. Fuck random projectiles.
Fuck Rimouken. Seriously without this hyper she would be buffed so much fairer.
Fuck Mad Hopper being an infinitely better version of Chuukadan.
