You should see Weekend. It really is pretty damn good.

I watched that yesterday - it is pretty damn good. My flatmate (who is indeed gay) hated it, though - thought the dialogue was ridiculous.

The most interesting BL relationships I've seen in anime in years has probably been Antique Bakery. That's a bit depressing, given how... well, it's Antique Bakery, it's not exactly the pinnacle of the medium.

There were women in that though, weren't there? (Other than Helen, of course).

95% of 300 was about men being half naked around each other. The other 5% was about NTR.

That sounds like Troy too. 95% of it was about half naked men around each other, the other 5% was about NTR. Lol.

Fuck off. I already claimed Muginami as Mai Waifu like 100 pages ago.

I laid claim to nothing! While your level of possessiveness over your waifu is commendable, you're just going to have to accept that countless people will always be admiring her from afar
and constantly stealing her from you for their own waifu
.

Dibs on Lan.

Try again, I've been pushing Wan as an alternative to MARU! since the show began. There's still Madoka's cousin left for you to claim, I guess.

I'm not sure what to call 4. Usually a combination of really good stuff with really bad stuff would be considered average, but I don't think that term works in this case.

I find it quite easy to call it bad, because the incredibly lazy production values and smutty content matter really drag down whatever it had going for it.

Oh God people are playing Akinator and seeing what female character they would get if they answered all of the questions about themselves except to say that the character was from Anime, a female, and from Japan.

I got

Wut

If anything, even with all those oiled-up naked dudes, 300 was kind of homophobic what with the portrayal of the Persian king and all. 'sides, everyone knows that the truly gay swords 'n' sandals movie of the mid-2000s was Alexander.
Didn't they cut out all the gay stuff for the theatrical release, or was that another movie?
And you know, the homophobia/hyper-heterosexuality is probably why I think 300 is so fabulously rainbow coloured.

That sounds like Troy too. 95% of it was about half naked men around each other, the other 5% was about NTR. Lol.
Well, fair enough. lol

We've already seen quite a bit of his finely chiselled body this season!
As long as everyone is naked, it's fair?

I watched that yesterday - it is pretty damn good. My flatmate (who is indeed gay) hated it, though - thought the dialogue was ridiculous.

I like Antique Bakery, but the whole "gay killer" thing was a bit silly. It's where I learned about nichome though and the Japanese gay pickup scene (which, go figure, is pretty similar to the western one).

Well presumably you will see everything when the DVD/Blurays release. That's really not the issue though. The problem is that it takes up over half the episode. To put that in perspective, there was more naked loli in this one episode than the entirety of RoKyuBu and Astarotte combined.

I would say there are more physical contacts in Dance in the Vampire Bund though.

If you can't see what's been visually implied through shampoo/soap then you had a better viewing experience than I!

Moreover, if you don't think all those shots, and there were dozens, of fanservice throughout the sequence don't count as fanservice because they were 'censored' then I can see that I share a different definition of disturbing to you.

Well, I don't have any disturbing thoughts during the whole episode, therefore I can enjoy the conversations. :p

I believe they did, so all you're left with is Val Kilmer and Colin Farrell giving each other intense smoldering looks or something.

I never actually saw the thing in full, but still!
If Val Kilmer is in a "gay movie" all I'll be able to think about is Gay Perry from Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. :(

Guilty Crown 14

Tsugumi can be surprisingly cynical.

Segai continues to be the best part of the show.

People have been wanting Shu to "man up" for a while now, and the
reluctant Cincinnatus route
seems like the best path forward there.

Nisemonogatari 04

What is up with the bathroom in the Araragi house?

Shinobu makes me nostalgic for Victorique.

Moretsu Pirates 04

This actually came up in the previous episode, but this "Original Seven" nomenclature has me wondering if any of the staff worked on Gun X Sword.

I like how much time and focus is spent on planning and preparation for battle. I hesitate to use the word "realistic", but for sure this series is at least making an effort at verisimilitude.

Okay let's try this again, I gotta get someone different this time.
