The Dark Knight Rises (Batman 3) - No Riddler

God, why does DC use the shittiest toy company to make their Batman movie toys? The Dark Knight ones were pretty terrible too, even the packaging seemed like it was a 3rd tier company. They should just use whoever does the DC Universe line of toys to make those.

My parents took me and my brother to buy Batman action figures when the movie came out, and of course, he got Batman, they were all out of Jokers so I got...Bob the Goon. Yes, Bob the fucking Goon. That's the one thing I resent about my childhood my brother always got the main good guy (He-Man, Liono, Captain Power, Batman) and I had to get a villian or side kick.

I loved my aero strike Batman, thank you.

Yes, those random ass costumes are dumb, but most kids think they're cool, at least when they're 5.

Screw you mom and dad!

Actually, it was probably just my mom. My dad was cool when it came to action figures. I remember one year I did some fucked up shit and my punishment was supposed to be that I got nothing for my birthday, but my dad took me to the toy store behind my mom's back and bought me a WWF ring, Jake the Snake, Million Dollar Man, Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior action figures.

I feel spoiled. I had Aero Strike, Quick Change, Joker, Bob the Goon, the batmobile and a few more from that line. I completely forgot about those action figures too. I miss my youth...

Did anyone else think TDK would have been a masterpiece if both boats had blown up? That might have vaulted it into one of the Best Picture nominee spots, IMO.

Only way a Super Hero movie will get a Best Picture nomination is if it had Nazis, was a silent film, and was directed by Stephen Daldry.

It's time to Nostalgia bomb this thread

lol I remember that summer of Batman Returns I spent the summer at my grandma's house (MoValley DM!) and we hit up McD's like 10 times and every time I got the shitty Bruce Wayne/Selina Kyle dancing cup. Pretty sure my grandma still has them.

Did you go to that 1950s McDonalds? Was that even open yet?

I don't think the Oscars really carry the power they once did, nominating TDK for best picture would have helped them more than it would the Dark Knight legacy. Blowing up the boats wouldn't have been a big game changer, he already blew up Rachel which was the real emotional wtf moment for me. I think Dark Knight Rises has a decent chance of getting nominated or winning best picture if it is up to the quality of the previous two films just because the academy will want to acknowledge the value of the entire trilogy put together just like they did with Lord of the Rings.

Guzim, I had your bigger batman to the right...as well as Wayne Manor with the 'shattering' rooftop glass. I believe there was a second compartment or accessory or appendage you could buy for the Mansion that I found when i was looking up ebay prices.

Man, toys from the 80's and early 90's were terrible. Well, they might be just as terrible now, but I don't really pay attention to them much.

But do any of you guys still have an original Taco Bell Batman 89 cup like THIS!!??

I also have the McDonalds Batman Returns cup of Batman running, but it's at my parents house.

Joker: Bob, gun.
<Bob gives Joker gun>
<Joker shoots Bob>

I loved that part in 89 Batman.

Oh man all these Batman '89 toys is bringing me some serious nostalgia. The Batman action figure with the belt that had a pull string grappling hook was badass.

There was a Bob toy? haha. He was pretty awesome in the movie but I'd probably be disappointed if I got that as a kid
I have the Bob action figure somewhere. Bought it at a Kay-Bee Toys Outlet maybe four years ago. They also had some leftover Wild Wild West and Robocop action figures.

Only toys I had as a kid were wrestlers like Kevin Nash. NWO > Batman

I like you. And you're quite right.

Hahaha I had that. I loved it.

I should've got a bob action figure seeing on how it was the best goon in the batman movies. (and Jack Nicholson's best friend)
