Awesome, got in, no email so I was surprised when I logged on. Installing installer right now.

Ugh downloading around 200 KB/s : /
 
Might be that they're actually activating the accounts by hand. Might take a bit longer and random that way...

I hope.
 
Wow I just got in. No e-mail and wasn't expecting this whatsoever. I'm not terribly excited because I also recently got into the DOTA 2 beta, and that's much more important because I have no MOBA experience and I am getting to learn the game before release.

Still, can't say that I won't spend some time with this.

Why did Diablo 2 allow for multiplayer accounts in 2000? And save files for all 10 chars full of items hardly took 5mb back then and thats uncompressed.

Most likely they want items on the RMAH and not in people's stash waiting. Collectors of course get boned with the move.
 
Went and checked and I got in. No email or anything. I have bought every Blizzard game since WC2, and this is my first beta invite. They must have thrown the doors open to a bunch of folks.
 
Got in and I don't have SC2 or WoW. I was helped by someone on here though and a friend who got flagged in december got in as well, so I guess even recent flags can get in.
 
OMG I GOT IN
no e-mail or anything, Fyi, when I logged into battle.net I got a terms of agreement screen which never happened before the 9718420 times I checked my status before.

Edit: just read above how some people who got the terms agreement didn't get in so I guess that's irrelevant. I do own SC2 tho
 
Still no beta for me either. Have any canadians got in or are we discriminated against as well?
Edit: I own SC2 and Diablo 2 w/ expansion. Doubt that makes a difference in the selection process though.
 
I just got in the beta too. I don't own Starcraft, and I'm not currently subscribed to WoW.

I never got an e-mail so keep checking your account.

Yup I've been in since early december, I don't think it discriminates country wise.

Yeah I checked again today after seeing all the new people in beta. Are most of the people being invited because of someone on GAF, or are they random invites too? No reason to look if it's hand chosen GAF invites, but if some randoms are getting in, I'll keep looking.

Hopefully they notice my new D3 rig specs, just finished the build for my Diablo 3 PC and uploaded my specs again. Plus active WoW + annual pass, got into WoW beta, maybe that's where all my luck went? One beta per lifetime? LOL

edit: Do we need to create a battletag? Mine's blank, dunno if that matters.

But would that help/improve our chances getting into the Diablo 3 beta? I'm sure that's how people are getting flagged via GAF but I don't know anyone important to get flagged, so if there's no helpful gain otherwise, I'll probably just wait for retail release.

Got in as well. Unfortunately I won't be able to get home to begin the download until 9 PST so it looks like I might have to call out tomorrow.

Completely forgot that I had opted in and hadn't even checked battle.net in at least a month.
 
Just got in, no idea if it was due to GAF, but thank you if it was! :) Unfortunately gotta wait for my class to be over tonight before I can install.
