2012 NBA Feb |OT| Rubio Early Favorite for Racist of the Year

When I woke up this morning I realized I was still irritated by Flop City. I hope someone just steps on Blake's face next time he throws his back to the ground. What a dickhead.
Lakers have played them 4 times including preseason, I anticipate and welcome all of gaf hating flop city once they get the pleasure of seeing an entire starting lineup minus Caron flopping like fish out of water.

When Butler starts flopping I might choke someone.

DY... -_-

White boy swag, h3ro.

Classy of Jazz fans to wish injury onto others. Does the Book of Moroni teach you that?

I don't wish injury on him, I just want to see someone step on his face. It's not like he'd get paralyzed over a little shoe dusting.

So I don't care what Griffin does anymore. Dude is a pansy. He's been flopping all year, and the Clippers have definitely earned their "Flop City" tag for the crap Chris Paul, Williams, Billups, and Griffin do. Has the NBA ever been this stupid? Griffin has had like 5 huge flops this year in the last few minutes of games. It's becoming his defining thing as much as the dunks.

The league better figure this out and start calling technical fouls and fining players for flopping. It's getting straight up stupid that you can't watch a game with nonstop flops. It's not fun to watch. Every time Raja does it, I secretly hope he'll get beat up for doing it, but it's crazy when one of the NBA's most notorious floppers is doing it far less than the average player.

Edit: And how hypocritical is it for someone to call out someone for being classless while taking a shot at their religion. Could Adam be more clueless in life?

Yeah, that is one flopping ass team.

I'd like them to start instituting post-game fines for flops with suspension for repeat offenders.

Make it a technical foul. You limit the amount of times they can do it per game, and eventually it leads to suspensions.

The thing is, it's just cheating. You're basically lying to the ref, claiming you somehow got slammed into while innocently trying to play a little defense. If they know that those flops can add up to suspensions, they'll at least be somewhat choosy about when to try it instead of making it their default reaction on every bump.

azz fans getting irritated at other teams flopping??

I may have just seen it all on this board folks.

Chris Paul's tenure in New Orleans accounted for more flops than the Jazz have had as a franchise in the last 10 years.

I don't ever want to hear a coach say "Save your flops for the 4th!"

it needs to be a tech + 1 or something. So they reach the suspension phase sooner. Have it be treated as a regular tech in game and after being reviewed it gets an additional count towards their overall techs.

Fuck 'em, thats why.

Do you not realize the absurdity of your post? Stepping on someone's face won't cause an injury... is that what you seriously think?

And point to me where I made fun of your religion. Really. Is your reading comprehension that lacking?

Laettner never hurt anyone.

Don't distract from the real issue here, your team is a shining beacon for flopping fans everywhere.

I don't think I'm the one who is deflecting now. But if wishing injury on others is okay in your mind, I don't know what else to say.

I have never condoned flopping, but even if I were a fan of flopping, I think that being one would be better than being one who wishes injuries on others.

That's not wishing injury, that's wishing they get some real thuggery/goon tactics for acting out scenes from power rangers every night.

Now if it was some Brandy hopetheteambusgoesoffacliff type stuff, then you'd have a point.

Grizzlies, Sixers, Suns, and Pacers coming up in this home game stretch. Might actually get to see what this team is about. Still don't trust these dudes. :jnc

Jeff wants someone to curbstomp Blake and you're okay with that, DY?

... smh

I agree that CP had his share of flops, but no amount of deflection is going to change the fact that the Utah Jazz have one of the most cherished cultures of flopping of any NBA franchise.

From two of the greatest flopping tandems of all time in Stockton and Malone to the more modern era where Ak-47 and then Raja Bell kept that legacy thriving with the help of their teammates over the years.

"Step on his face" is very far removed from "curb stomping."

I want someone to go Barkley on him. I'm not talking about jumping two feet into the air and coming down hard on his head. I'm talking about putting their foot in his face. What's he going to do? He's not man enough to play defense. I bet he'd go run behind Reggie Evans and start pointing at the guy who did it.

Edit: Can you imagine how hard you'd get punked by someone like Barkley if they were pulling that garbage on him for four quarters? For four games?

Kevin Martin used to flop. If K-mart can semi-stop flopping, anyone can!

(of course, this has lead to him taking a ton more threes to make up for the fact that he can't get the shooting foul anymore for jumping into the defender in the air).

Yeah, that's like Raja Bell. Some of the most notorious floppers in the game are now being totally outpaced by the younger guys coming up.

Can someone explain to me why on First Take this Skip Bayless guy and Smith keep saying the Miami Heat need a "closer"?? Is this baseball all of a sudden? Yes, I am well aware LeBron does not necessary perform in the 4th Q (game winning shot wise), BUT they act like the coach dedicates Wade to the 4th Q like it's the game plan (why are the Heat losing to a team like the Bucks in the 4th Q anyway??). Team fucking sport, 4th quarter should be the same as the previous three ie; whatever the original game plan was or what they practiced.

The worst thing that could happen to flop city is if it becomes their identity. When ESPN and other media get off the Billups is a leader/champ, chris paul is a warrior/tough as nails, Mo williams is a pro for swallowing his pride and being a 6th man, Blake is a high flying superstar in the making and get on the fuck em all they flop like Eddie Murphy movies and they degrade the game.

When thats who they become publically and overwhelming I can be happy.

Although I'd like the NBA to start calling flops, and start fining/suspending if done frequently, I know the league will not do anything about it. It's very sad to see young guys like Griffin start flopping because of a few teammates who oftenly do it.

Honestly I don't even get mad at flopping anymore.

It's the league that's letting this happen.

These guys are competitors and want to win. Find me one superstar that hasn't done something shady to win or stood by idly while a teammate did it.

If the league isn't going to bring the hammer down with fines and refs aren't going to look harder to catch it, players will master that shit if it gives them and their team a competitive advantage.

First thing Kemba learned was floptics

I think Martin is a decent fit for the Hawks. They'd still be a dumb ass team, but they'd be intense inside once Horford gets back.

Not like they'd beat Miami or Chicago in 7, but they'd make it a lot more interesting. Now, if the Bulls could find a way to land JR....

I've never liked Kenyon Martin, but I'm sure he could bolster the incredibly weak Clippers frontcourt bench. Billups has been trying to woo him, after all.

This was pretty good: http://blogs.thescore.com/tbj/2012/02/02/other-things-that-dont-impress-kevin-durant/

Other things that don't impress Kevin Durant:

durant-great-wall.jpg

“It’s just a wall, I think. Some guys built it and it’s pretty long. So it’s a really long wall at the end of the way. Maybe if it were in my yard I’d say it’s ‘great.’”

durant-grand-canyon.jpg

“As far as I’m concerned, it’s just a big hole in the ground. I have no appreciation for it at all. We’ve got a ditch in Oklahoma City that doesn’t get attention because it’s not an Arizona dent. It’s fine but I don’t think it’s ‘grand.’”
