2012 NBA Feb |OT| Rubio Early Favorite for Racist of the Year

His team is capped out forever and has no NBA starters other than him and Ryan Anderson. I think he should stay as well, but it's easy to see why he wants to leave.

Of course it's easy to see why he wants to leave. But it was easy to see why Lebron wanted to take the easy way out too. They've got an owner willing to spend and are 3 years removed from a finals berth.

If that team is quitting, he's the leader on the floor, it's his damn fault. And if they don't quit and play hard, they can easily play .600 ball and make a playoff run

Can you blame Dwight for wanting to bail though? Ryan and JJ are the two only non-scrubs hes playing with right now. It's like worse than Lebron James supporting cast on the Cavs bad.
I don't care, he can leave, just play out the season and STFU. I wish pro athletes actually acted professional.

Well, the Master Of Panic isn't helping matters much.

I completely disagree with this. Stan has done the most with the least all these years. Look at that team that made the finals, that was not a finals caliber squad at all.

There is no saving the roster this year though. Jameer not only sucks but is injured. Same with J-Rich. Glen Davis is a joke. Duhon is the biggest scrub in the league. Hedo has been washed up for years. What coach could turn this ship around?

Except that you're going to need batum for any playoff run you have this year.

ughhhh..... I think at best we'll have a great western conference battle with whoever a la 2000 wcf. Lamarcus is great but we need wes mathews or somebody to really step up in tough games. Everyone's a really good contributor but besides LMA there's not really anyone who can just takeover a game.

I'm pumped for TNT tonight.

Also, ATTN: Pacers fans: I watched you guys scrap the hell out of my Wolves again last night. I love that dirty grimy playstyle that you guys seem to always bring, and wish my team had a bit of it.

What did you think of Pekovic? I believe he can be a starting quality center, easily, if he can just control his fouling a little more.

Why has SVG decided so often to feed Dwight to begin games and then completely forget about him in second halves?

It happens all de times.

That's exactly what LeBron did and everyone still raked him over the coals. I don't blame athletes for saying fuck loyalty and fuck the wishy washy fans and using every ounce of power and leverage they have to do what they feel is best for themselves.

Nope!

Most people rake him over the coals for HOW he handled it. He made it into a spectacle when it didn't need that. He could have just explored the FA market, made a quiet decision and left.

The rah rah rah is what everyone hated, especially when it later came out that he Bosh and Wade had already made a decision, much earlier.

How do I know?

How well was the Heat parade celebration before the season received?

Yeah...

If LeBron had just said he was going to Miami in a press release no one would have freaked out.

So yes, it is possible to make decisions like this in a mature way.

Why can't ESPN have regular content like this rather than bury it in Grantland?

It's enough to find the good content on Grantland.

Yeah...

Granted he handled it poorly, but he still got a lot of shit for not being "loyal" and turning his back on his hometown and going to Miami with Wade instead of NY or Chicago...mainstream fans an media these days are fickle as fuck. Everything is either underrated or overreacted. Every player is the best thing ever or the biggest pos on sports history. It's the Skip Bayless/ESPN effect. It's the reason I couldn't fully get behind the Bron bashing, because it was the same people who 5 years earlier were ripping Kobe apart for being a selfish rapist who ran Shaq and Phil out of town and would never win a title.

Dwight has handled this the worst of any of the stars. What an idiot.

I don't think he has handled it that badly... He has been asking for a trade since last year, and the magic have kind of ignored it

Yeah, i think he hasn't handled it the best he could. But he hasn't done it badly. Orlando on the other hand have just stuck their head in the sand.

Most of the "he's not loyal" crap was from dejected Cavs fans, to be fair.

To the mainstream, most I talked to hated the fact that put the spotlight on himself, visiting all these places and making it all into a circus, culminating with his ESPN special.

Trust me, had he just left with all the flash, the "he's not loyal" voices would have been a LOT smaller than they were.

I just think that him making everything public is unneeded, and he has acted like a little bitch to his team while pretending he himself is a great leader

Again, that is his only leverage.. The team has made bad move after bad move.. At least with LBJ they asked his ok before, making bad moves...

Gil, JRich, Turk.... I would have blasted the team too..

If Dwight was a little more patient, they'll have some capspace in 2013 as Jameer and JJ expire with Hedouche and Dudu not being fully guaranteed. Fat Mamba and J-Rich are still there but they'd have enough to maybe get a Josh Smith or Iggy.

lawl Dwight wanted Hedo back and was mad that Otis amnested Gilbert

Dwight doesn't fucking know anything about putting a good team together. Monta Ellis and JAXXXXXXXXXXXXX are the guys he wants to play with the most.

BG starting....WTF?

EDIT: Holy shit. I always thought the Clips were in the East. Who the crap decided to put both LA teams in the West?

Divisions exist for scheduling to make it so the teams you play most often are the ones reasonably close to you. It doesn't get any closer than playing at the same arena. The East and West are named that because they are geographical divisons, and are not like the American league and national league in the MLB, for example.

LAC wants to be in the east so bad.

ATTN: Blazers fans, would you be up for this trade?

Wolves get:

Batum
Future 1st round draft pick, unprotected

Blazers get:

Wes Johnson

I'm willing to throw in Darko if it'll seal the deal.

This is why we need the :lol smiley back.

How the fuck do they think Rudy Gay should be on the team but not best Gasol?

Edit: oh only Shaq nevermind. Kenny has Nene which is reasonable. WTF Mo Williams?

No one can be this stupid, right?

great article on griffin's game right now. Seriously, everyone should read.

Why can't ESPN have regular content like this rather than bury it in Grantland?

On about half of his possessions in the post, Griffin pivots and faces up to the rim.He almost never goes directly into a move.

#nba-gaf can attest that I have been harping on Griffin for doing exactly that far too much.

I was right y'all.
