Aquarion Evol 6
tumblr_lyzyucdyu01qcff4ao1_500.gif

Never did post about but it was pretty good, as have the past. I think this one actually had injected some sort of backstory of Aquarion in it that perhaps went over my head...Im quessing everything on the in universe movie/fairy tail, is what the old Aquarion is about? Regardless, great action, great mecha, and great moves. Kagura
wolf mode running was quite cool and he never gets old
. Amata was cool too.
Poor Andy not being able to Union with a girl again

Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 1

A.K.A the T files feature length version

Don't worry Tomoyo, you'll have plenty of time to film Sakura.

The basic summary is that during winter holiday Sakura wins a trip to Hong Kong via a lottery, where all the "coincidence" is not what it seems, judging by the cards used in the movie it seems to take place between the first and second OP changes (i.e eps 35 - 46). So Cajun if you're lurking WATCH IT NOOOW!!

I said you have enough time to film her, calm down.

The first half of the movie, is basically all build up, Sakura travels to Hong Kong finds something strange about it, meets up with Li at some point (because he's from Hong Kong you know another "coincidence" perhaps?) and at one point go to his home, where we learn a few things about Li moreso than what's been shown in the series so far.

Hmm... I seem to have accidentally posted some :cajun pics of China dresses, well this is China afterall.

Enter Li's sisters... and all of a sudden Li's personality makes sense the poor guy, he stood no chance with 4 older sisters. :(

After they fawn over Sakura and Tomoyo in their dresses then their attention turns to Toya and Yukito... who only have eyes for each other.

They're clingy even when they're about to leave.

Wouldn't be Cardcaptor without a Tomoyo custom made cardcaptor costume.

Overall a very servicable movie, although it's a bit cliche'd on how the enemy is defeated at the end, but then again what else would I expect from a Mahou Shoujo?
The second movie is a much more superior experience in every respect. This film in particular feels like a very long drawn-out filler episode of the anime.

I assume you've finished the series? if so go watch the 2nd movie like right now.

if not finish the series first then watch.

Totally unsurprising.

I'm largely apathetic to what's going on right now. We were suspicious about this since Kuyou was introduced. Maybe this
crying over not being able to play family anymore would mean something if the character development even existed. Outside of Tomokazu no ecchi, his time with Nanase and Kuyou has been so insignificant that their relationship can be described with a few words.
Oh, and while I'm at it, that entire sequence of scenes was terrible.

Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas 22-24

Awww, thought Sisyphos would
go full specter.
Lame.

Only 2 episodes to go. Gonna suck when I finish this because we have no idea if/when another season is happening. Might just have to read the manga.

That is a good way to start a conversation or an anime.

I don't know what I will get but I'm already in love with the fluid animations, the simple characterdesign, the detailed backgrounds and story with the romance plot looks pretty interesting.

Its a nice enjoyable show. The quality takes a nosedive around the middle to end but still a worthwhile watch if only for the ending!

Unfortunately the show is never as good as the first 2 episodes.;______;
Windy tales >> Kamichu!

Lies.

You watched Goro Miyazaki's second film, right? Could you tell us what you thought of it, because some of us were talking about it earlier.

I did!

I thought it was quite a bit stronger than Gedo Senki. Maybe Goro's calling is in this style of movie. It has some nice visuals and the story made sense!

Its overly sentimental though. As in, it would have worked on me quite a bit more if I had grown up in Showa era Japan.

Corrosion has begun.

I think DEEN would be surprised what lighting could do to temper a certain mood, but this bedroom scene between Tomokazu and Mizuki was terrible especially with the less than impressive lightning in the background.

I was planning on purchasing Mushi-shi (TV), Noein, and Planetes. What are your opinions on these?

I have watched Mushi-shi through Hulu and parts of Noein back when it aired on Ani-Mondays. I have also heard good reviews on Planetes.

Planetes is one of the best animes ever produced. It's a definite purchase in my book

I can't say on the others. Haven't seen em.

I haven't seen Planetes yet, but I support the other two, especially Mushi-shi.

I haven't watched Noein, but I can vouch for the other 2. Although since you've already seen Mushishi, Planetes is definitely your number 1 priority. Amazing show, one the most interesting depictions of future space life, and some of the best character development you will find in anime.

All 3 are good, though Id rank them as Planetes, Mushishi and Noein in order of quality.

Planetes is just great all around. Novel concept, great characters, and an overall down to earth attitude.

Mushi-shi is just a chill series with great atmosphere and art and cool stories.

Noein is more of a classic action/adventure show but with really great and unique artwork and great animation. Lots of adolescent growing pains though, so be warned on that front if it bothers you.

Yumeria - 12 (Finale)

Wow, did the Mizuki become Tomokazu's sister in the new world? Holy shit. I didn't think it was possible to fuck over a childhood friend in a harem setting so damn much. And yes, I'll admit I was wrong from before. I expected Nanase to be the main love interest, but Mone? Geez, Mone felt like such a non-character I didn't even take her under consideration. I guess those early episodes solidified her position in the harem, and I totally overlooked it.

the only bad episode of planetes was the one with the flying space weeaboos

Dude what? That was a great episode, because that's totally the first thing I would do in a low gravity environment.
What happens to them all later is pretty heartbreaking.

how is the show looking so far? looks interesting, don't want to invest my time if it isn't worth it.

It's pretty bland and average. Nothing about it really stands out but at the same time it doesn't really offend. I mean it's just there. The action is ok, but there really enough of that. You could try an episode or two, but I'm kinda getting close to dropping it out of not caring about it.

Not to mention, the ear piercing sound of SAIZO!

AVOID. It's excruciatingly boring and really ugly to boot. You could do better with pretty much any Winter '12 show.

Actually, just watch Sengoku Basara if you haven't yet. It's Brave 10 except several million times better.

Thanks for your opinions. I will probably get Noein and Planetes first since their latest releases were back in 2008 and 2006. Trying to save funds during my last college semester is starting to be a bit difficult.

Oh well, I guess ill just stick with Daily lives of highschool boys. On episode 3 and I am loving it so far, absolutely hilarious.

This "Talent of Dressing Stylish" is total bunk.

I know the slanted angle is trying to make this battle scene more dramatic, but it just looks like the animator was nodding off.

Not that fond of the clumsy tearjerker backstories the opponents are getting, especially when they're one-off characters. Also not that fond of the habit of spilling over fights into the opening minutes of the next episode in order to make an artificial cliffhanger.

It's a very fun show and a great of slice of life. I finished it awhile back. The opening episode is a great hook.

Ah My Buddha - 01

Oh, this is going to be a fun series. The one complaint I have, which isn't necessarily a negative against this series, is that if they were willing to dedicate an extra minute or two about childhood nostalgia and moving forward toward maturity or some shit, a touching moment could have been had. Instead, the episode plays up the predictable ecchi aspect of the show in standard fashion.
Still wish super monk mode enables Ikkou-kun to have a bishounen voice of badassery.
