the only difference i see is that kushina's eyes are bigger in the animated version. i prefer the animated version.

Whatever dude.
LSPrf.jpg

I really don't think there's anything wrong with Kushina's face there. She's supposed to look like she's in distress—folks can get pretty dang ugly when they're in distress... ;P

Looks more convincing to me than the standard "yell face" Kishimoto uses in the manga!

He specifically mentioned implanting Hashirama's cells for the Wood Release
No, he didn't. In fact, Mokuton was something he wanted to test out, while he seemed to be already familiar with the Rinnegan.

All we know is that he fought Hashirama to gain his power, but not why. Hashirama's "power" isn't just about Mokuton, but the incredible physical energy/vitality that lies at the root of it; which is something that the Senju inherited from Rikudou Sennin's younger son. The Rinnegan would be the most likely reason, but then we still have to know why it took so long to happen. Injuries sustained after the battle? "Harvesting" Hashirama's genetic material? The truth about Zetsu, and the composition of Tobi's body will probably reveal why.

7-nin no Shakespeare 1

This seems pretty promising. It's a manga about the life of Shakespeare by the guy who made Beck. The first chapter was pretty fun, but the use of honorifics made me cringe. They're in England FFS.

Scanned in english finally? Fuck yes. Although I read the first chapter in a spanish scan a few weeks ago. It seems to be about the identity of Shakespeare though. It started a few years ago when the theory that Shakespeare was a pseudonym became popular. Looking forward to it, the english title seems to be a reference to the "Seven Ages of Man"

Nisekoi 13

You could see this coming a mile away. So predictable.

Well yeah, it's wildly generic romcom using slightly different stock characters than other romcoms have employed, in this case, the "Yakuza heir" stock character.

To Love Ru (END)

The best part was when Rito tripp- WHATEVER RANKING TIME LET'S GO

Momo
Risa
Oshizu (don't judge me)
Run
Riko (don't fucking judge me)
Lala
"Wait till you see Darkness"
Yami
Ryouko
everyone else

But um yeah, hm.

Analyzing Rito's accidents aside (I'm so sorry for that you guys
I'm proud of it
), and being super interesting aside, I don't think I need to state my opinion or anything.

The last couple chapters were basically the author going "well shit, I'm done anyway, let's go all out" and putting 18 pages of tits.

And Wiseblade you better rank.

You are going to LOVE Darkness.

Even Kishimoto can draw women well once in a while. But that shot is very ugly and did not come from the manga.

I don't think you understand the use of harsh shadows and lighting to give her face harsh definition for heightened emotion. It's used often in anime, and is extremely appropriate for it's use here. And if anything it definitely shows the animator can draw, landing these harsh shadows on the planes of a person's face is tricky and takes talent. Also, even beautiful women can look uglier in certain lights and angles, an effect that is used here on purpose. Seeing that drawing of her is powerful- it screams fear, desperation, and weakness. A very skilled animator drew it.

So...

I've been meaning to check-out To Love Ru seeing how popular it is... Just curious about its supposed 'controversy' and all that.

.....Bad idea?

Do you know the story behind its cancellation on Weekly? Because its much more interesting than the manga itself.

Hmm, something about the Yabuki's wife if I am not mistaken?

Best idea, although it would've been better had you hopped on board the Wiseblade + Upandaway group reading of TLR.

And now on a manga no one here would give a fuck about:

RESSENTIMENT

Never before I read a manga where the feeling of fascination and repulsion gets changed so quickly from scene to scene: hell, sometimes I feel both of those simultaneously at the same time.

Yeah, this manga is all hilarious and straight sad, at the same time. It's a fun read.

Beelzebub

THE QUEEN IS BACK, and with a fierceness. A+. A+.

Mercenary Pierre vol 4 (END)

The end to this surprised me a little, because I didn't expect to see Jeanne survive. The trick to save her was half realistic and half unrealistic, but I don't mind. I prefer it with Jeanne saved than burned at the stake. Still, I'm forced to face something that's way too realistic, the idea that she was raped countless times while imprisoned.
All in all it wasn't a bad read.

Bokura wa Itsumo vol 3-4

I'm liking this more and more. I like the change in point of view between the 4 characters in almost every chapter. It helps in making you feel like you're really seeing the various events from their side and so I feel like I get closer to them.
Even the way these events are threated is something I like, with a little bit of drama but not dragged out. For example, Nori in volume 4
is approached by Onohira telling her Haruna spent the past few days with her and they even went to hotels together, as well as other stuff, and Nori's reaction isn't the typical shojo reaction. She doesn't cry over it, she doesn't starts wondering, pondering what she should do and stuff, nope, she jumps down and confronts Onohira, pissed off because Haruna hurt himself because of Onohira, and the whole situation is resolved in that same chapter.
I really like that the various dramatic events get played out and resolved in a timely fashion.

Shingeki no Kyojin 30

So good.

The female titan crying when they rescued Eren was really interesting. I'm curious to know what connection she has to him.

Something like his wife was getting laid by a high school student while he was at work drawing naked anime girls for high school students.

Yes except it was pretty public since she was famous on Niconico and they actually met through there. Haruna was based on the wife, just to make matters worse.

Fairy Tail 270

Eve was so epic. Didnt expect those surprising results, hopefully Fairy Tail gets it together next round. Gray was enjoyable in both chapters of Hidden, and hopefully he gets time to shine in the future, as well as more Gray Lyon action too.

I did laugh so much at the motivation that the characters have if they win for that punishment game.

Fairy Tail

What a fun chapter. It was Incredibly long and full of content, and the ending was rather surprising. The FT B team flashback was pretty funny, especially Gajeel's. Dat Juvia's ass & boobs. Goddamn, she might actually compete with Erza for the hottest character. Hmmmm. I knew FT wouldn't win, but coming in dead last? Poor Grey. He lost the game and was pitied by his teamates. IMO thats even worse than being insulted by the crowd, he must feel like shit.

Awesome chapter, Mashima is on a roll.

Shingeki no Kyojin

Dude they destroyed her. What the fuck.

I just want the inner court to shut up already. We need to hear their yapping again? And looks like it'll be more difficult to convince them this time.
But oh well, since we know there are insiders, I suppose new things can still be discovered even inside the walls.

Nisekoi

I'm fine with it, though it does seal Onodera out for real. She's dead now.

Gantz

Welp, Titz is dead. Why don't I feel anything? Oh right, it was offscreen because Oku doesn't care anymore.

Gantz

It would be very stupid if he actually killed off Reika, a character who has actually developed as the series progressed...better if he had killed off the Kuruno clone to be honest. Still, I don't think it is the last we have seen of her. It would be have made more sense if they both died towards the finale to be honest, as a sacrifice, but Gantz likes to be random so who knows

Fairy Tail

:lol Gajeel. What the fuck kind of punishment is that.

FT B has to win now.

Edit: Also, ridiculous number of pages again. Dude is crazy.

All hail queen momo.
The queen deserves all thy worship. And she goes god-tier in TLRD.
Nisekoi

Shittiest manga I ever read. Such complete trash.
I have not read the chapter. But I think I can confidently state that Onodera got screwed over this chapter based on the above.
Nisekoi 13 - There's what I expected/hoped from the start. Also, they're just adorable.
Oh yea, no question.

---

I also have to run back a quote.
Just scrap the rest of your crap for Onihime VS and Legend of Maian already. Seriously he has what, 9 ongoing series? Oh and a new one coming out to make 10.
I can say that the planets aligned with this one cause two new chaps of Onihime are in the wild after an entire fucking year. I can't take all the credit...but at least 95% is on me.

What's with all the Haruna hate? As a general rule, Betty > Veronica.
It's about the type of person you are.

Seeing one's ranking of TLR is seeing one's true soul.

Something like his wife was getting laid by a high school student while he was at work drawing naked anime girls for high school students.
Haha what. I heard about issues with his wife but really this is the perfect way to end TLR.

I feel bad for the guy though, the fanservice was just harmless silliness!

To be honest, it was obvious Onodera was never going to going to win. She's the typical childhood friend/third wheel/'B' girl in romcoms. Those girls never win; their only purpose is to serve as a romantic obstacle for the MCs and/or be used as a catalyst for forced drama.

Shingeki no Kyojin

Damn that female titan just got destroyed. And now there is the mystery of why she is crying.

Being back inside the walls isn't so bad. I just hope they don't reuse the same old drama of Eren is a danger, stop scouting, blah blah.

FUCK YOU WORLD

FUCK YOU NAOSHI KOMI

FUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

FUCK BLOND GIRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

To be fair "childhood promise" is just about as strong as "transfer student" (maybe just a tad bit less, it's iffy). She had that going for her which was pretty big.

It's all gone, though. GONE. GOOOONE. At least Onodera had a swift death instead of a cruel, long torture :(

By the way, amazing surprise, to replace Harisugawa... is another fantasy romcom (the week after next week). Jump is going all out with those lately.

I really don't mind all these shonen romcoms, they make a nice change of pace from Kubo/kishi/oda/blah blah blah, but hopefully this one will have more potential then harisugawa.

Oh great, another mediocre romance manga to read.
why are you so jaded. :(
