BTW, to all the To Love Ru creepers readers who just finished the original series, you may have missed this several years ago but the reason TLR got "cancelled" was because Yabuki's ex-wife started suing him for royalties on the use of the Haruna character because Haruna was based on her.
What had happened was, she ran off with another dude and had an affair, at which point Yabuki divorced her, but she tried to get custody of Yabuki's daughter a few times. At some point, she even kidnapped the daugther and made Yabuki pay her to get the daughter back, even after she had already stole all the money out of Yabuki's bank account.
You can tell when this starts to occur in the manga because the Haruna character stops being relevant and got largely replaced by the tsundere character Yui. Eventually he sorted those issues out and then started the new series in Jump Square. I don't' know if he ever managed to get the rights off of the Haruna character, but I've heard the character rarely appears anymore even in Darkness.
