Loser slave of the system :(
Wait, that's Windows-only isn't it?It's a check for FW or something. Security measure.
Use this to get around it.

Thank you! Looks nice, wish it was available standalone though. It's the first one in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfkNTaO0ldw
Best looking title on Vita right now, and arguably best looking VT anywhere.Verelios said:Someone please convince me on Virtua Tennis.
I haven't gotten around to trying this thing out yet but I am interested in pre-ordering it this week. My only concern is with the left analog stick as I keep hearing not so favorable things about it. I remember the PSP stick being absolutely terrible. Please tell me that the Vita sticks are atleast better than that thing?

They are WAY better. I haven't used them enough to know whether I like them more than the 3DS circle pad but they're so much better than the psp nub it's insane.
Sorry if this has been asked before but does UMVC3 have an online pass?
I bought it from another region online without checking.
It's a huge jump up. I do prefer the 3DS circle pad more, but it's so much better than the PSP nub that I think people are going to be very happy.
I need somebody to decide this for me, please, lol.
Should I get a Wifi Vita with a 16gb card ($309 on Amazon, with release day shipping), or their 3g bundle which comes with an 8gb card plus the free month and game ($299). I messed up with the PSP and got two 1 gig sticks instead of a single 2 gig stick, so it ended up screwing me over when game sizes got bigger on PSN, and I don't want that to happen again. However, the free game and the promise of always being able to use the 3g IF I want is a nice thought, plus I'll have an extra $10 for a game. Is the extra 8 gigs going to be absolutely necessary now, or will biting the bullet later on a smarter idea?

My biggest problem is one of cost really. The 10% discount on some Vita games on PSN is nice, but for the most part, I won't need stuff right at launch, and I assume retail prices will probably drop quicker than PSN. I also plan to use it as a video/music player because I've got a few trips coming up, and it'd be nice to throw a bunch of stuff on there. The key to the memory card question is how much do you plan on buying digitally? Personally, I feel like all of the cards are too small. So between 8 and 16gb I think eventually you'll need a bigger one anyway. But that's because, in my head, this thing is going to become more and more digital as time goes on. I don't have any data to back this up, but common sense tells me that as the playstation suite rolls out, and as games like Super Stardust for $10 (Digital download only) are huge hits that we are going to see more and more digital stuff.
But I think that's atleast a year off. So for the next year if you aren't planning on buying retail games digitally, the 8gb will do ya just fine for apps/digital only games. But in year 2/3/4 I think the need for a bigger size will become more and more of a concern.
As for 3G vs Wifi... I hate gaming offline. It's weird, even playing a single player game I hate not atleast having my friends list up. But that's up to you. At the very least I would say the *option* to have 3G is huge. Especially if something like Near takes off and is crazy awesome. That's a big IF, but if virtual treasure hunts and stuff take off you'll be kicking yourself for not snagging the 3g.
Then again if it doesn't you may say "why the hell did I buy 3g?"
It's also worth noting that the "free" game isn't really free at all. You have to buy a month of 3G to get it, and that month costs at minimum $15.
I still think 3G is the way to go though... even if I am giving reasons not to get it - haha.

Other then that - it's VT, with optional touch-screen additions, I don't know in-depth campaign yet as I only played the demo. But for me that was enough to make it a buy the moment english-version is up on PSN.
Better than Gravity Daze? I'm not that hard to impress. SOLD.
Value of the free game is $10.

where did you hear this?
It says on the box that it's a $55 savings.
$30 - 8 GB Card
$15 - A month of 3G
The remainder is $10 so that's the value of the free game.

This probably has been talked to death but the thread it's too big to read all the pages. About the PSN account management, you have to format the memory card to access your PSN account from other regions, right?, nobody figured another solution?.
It actually says "Over $55 bonus value", so the game could be $10 or $15. It's not concrete evidence against or for.

I updated the Australian price. Sorry for pretending New Zealand doesn't exist. And the pricing for Aussie/NZ has been wrong since day 1![]()
Aussie is
Wifi = $349.95
3G = $419.95
New Zealand is
Wifi $449.95
3G $549.95
These are based on RRP.
I think I read on the playstation blog that it's $15.
Yup, it's $15

I just realize the US vita travel case is different from vita soft carrying case that was released in Japan!! They looked very similar from outside picture, so I didn't realize!
Now I need to return the travel case and buy soft carrying case from Play-Asia or something!!
By the way, is there any impression on the premium leather case?(the one that costs around $50 in Japan) is it worth the money?(like the leather quality)
FFs, need to make the decision soon and I'm going back and forth between Vita and 3DS. The only thing that bothers me with Vita is the lack of games after launch, but then I remember:
a. I can buy and play PSP games.
b. I will be able to buy and play PSX games.
c. I will play approx. 5hrs a week, 100% of which during travel (which is why I need a portable) = games will take forever to complete anyway
The whole online system is way better designed as well + I can buy PSN cards from BB, which will make digital content cheaper (European eShop vs. US PSN).
The only difference is price (Zelda 3DS bundle is 199EUR, Amazon Vita + 8GB + Rayman is 274EUR), and the fact that 3DS is getting Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, and S-E STILL didn't announce Type-0 for Vita!
What to do GAF?

No. You don't have to format the memory card.
You have to reset the Vita to factory settings.
It will ask if you want to format the memory card. Just tap 'NO'.
The travel case is the same as the soft Japanese case (トラベルポーチ - the ¥2300 yen one).
There's another one (キャリングポーチ - ¥1800) which is smaller, but isn't available in North America. This is the one that comes in white and blue as well as black.
Unless you're talking about the one that comes with the "Starter Kit", which you just slide your Vita into.
I have to disagree, there are a lot of games after the launch, little big planet, persona 4, mortal kombat, little king's story, dragon's crown, warrior's idontremember(ex ruin) and many more.FFs, need to make the decision soon and I'm going back and forth between Vita and 3DS.
