Kotaku also kept on comparing it to the PS3 versions of Uncharted which really, the game should never have to deal with. The experience of the Vita should be compared to previous handhelds and even the 3DS, not full-fledged consoles.
I don't see 3DS games being compared to Wii, 360 and PS3 games.. Seriously, the bias against Sony is just...
It kinda depends on how Vita is marketed. Earlier rumors claimed a Vita offers a PS3-like experience. Sony has also started to advertise: Remote-Play, Cross-Play and Resume-Play. These features tie Vita rather closely with PS3's equivalent games, creating the common context for comparison. It doesn't even have to be PS3 titles. It can be PSP, PSOne games, plus music and movies too. These features are valuable Playstation extensions (via Vita), but they need to be balanced by Vita's exclusive games and features.
Golden Abyss should have a different core mechanics in the first place. Trivial touchscreen input may not be sufficient. I think Gravity Rush is a great example for identifying with Vita's hardware features.
I hope LBP can open up new user created (social) games that are visually simpler/different too. The PS3 LBP levels are intricate, and will appear too small on Vita. I actually don't want LBP for Vita to be like LBP for PS3.
Personally, I think some games like Patapon, LocoRoco, SoundShapes, Monster Hunter's local co-op, Monster Radar, outdoor AR sports games, are all good starting point for creating Vita's identity too.
EDIT: Escape Plan looks like a Vita winner too.
