Caught up to this lately, and wanted to comment on it a bit. The first arc was shaping up to be a complete clone of the rich-girl arc in TWGOK, but the way they handled it - and how it shapes up later - is different, and superior, to what was presented earlier in Kaminomi. I think it's the honesty of it, really - the deception behind the 'game' is acknowledged, and the motivation for the protagonist's behavior shifts from selfishness to something a bit more altruistic. And in the end, there's progress for all the characters involved, instead of the constant shift back to the status quo ala TWGOK.

I think the comparisons between the two are going to be inevitable, so whatevs. I was surprised by how much I liked the manga; it's not going to be deep, but as I went in for some trashy fanservice harem manga, finding, instead, a somewhat heartfelt comedy (with like, almost no service) was a surprise.

e: also the main dude has Oscar fucking Wilde in his heart. Way better than some galge pro.

I'm not sure if it's just the translator's fault, but all the conversations in Hentai Ouji feel far too stilted and unnatural. I agree with your thoughts on it for the most part, but the ending felt like a complete copout (apart from Oscar Wilde - that was awesome). Dude pisses off girl, girl gets mad, girl realizes she like totally likes this guy (who doesn't deserve it), and then generic ending #21, LET'S JUST BE FRIENDS. And "Oh, you can't have a facade, only I'm allowed to do that". That was by far the worst part of the arc.

We need more Iron Queen/King now that generic fake ojousama arc is over. She's the best girl so far.

I, for one, was impressed at Hinata's resolution to fight for her true love in the latest chapter. She is clearly the only one Naruto should end up with. Sasuke is a close second, but for sake of...GP. It should definitely be NaruHina.

It wasn't so much the kid, so much as the fact that a) the media tried to blame Naruto for a 10 year old kid believing it was fine to bury his head in a foot of sand and b) that the media that was trying to build it up as a story didn't even do any basic research on the series. It was even weirder because anyone with a basic familiarity with Japanese pronunciation would have a grasp that it wasn't "Nerutu," and the reporter was an asian with an obviously Japanese name.

Wasn't there an interview back when Alpha was announced that said they're aiming to shorten the 2 weeks, but then the interview said nothing about adding more series?
