JennY Hyun (not the songwriter for Girls Generation) does not like black people

"Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise."

But isn't this sort of true?

I think the hype around Lin is the trifecta: asian, unheralded/undrafted, harvard. It makes an omelet of awesome.

It's pretty funny that some nobody songwriter, that just happened to write one song for a popular group. Gets more attention than Floyd Mayweather(arguably the biggest name in boxing) got after comments like these, regarding Manny Pacquiao:

I guess as long as your racism is directed towards Asians, it's all good, right GAF?
Except most people readily acknowledge that Mayweather is a racist, an idiot, and a coward.

Most Korean girls I know are pretty cool. This girl obviously has issues if her first response to a racial insult is a string of hate-speech.

It is true. Just like Tiger Woods would have never gotten the press he did if he was not a minority within his sport.

Mayweather is a fool/idiot but this is one of the least ridiculous comments he has said.

Oh, I get the point you're making, I'm also not so sure I agree, completely anyway.

Now I'm confused, so you think that it's justifiable to make a broad generalisation like that?

Second line demonstrates exactly why the first line is wrong. Of course some people will focus on him being Asian, but saying "he gets all that attention because he's Asian" insultingly implies that he didn't earn his success.

Floyd got alot of negative attention for that and he deserved it.

Last time I checked, he still has lots of fans on here and all throughout the U.S. And I doubt the thread about those comments went much longer than this one, if it even made it to this many pages. Fact is, he got away with it and only made a half ass apology, that really wasn't even an apology.

who is gonna punish floyd?

Dude finances everything out of his pocket and he never touched that genocide/cancer stuff this girl is going on about.

Right, which is why I have no idea why she flipped the fuck out over THAT comment? Hell the ESPN headline was more offensive than the shit Mayweather said. Also, Mayweather said it. Who the fuck takes him seriously about anything?

Chris Brown has a lot of fans.

John Mayer has a lot of fans.

I don't get your point. Does that justify her comment in some way?

Wait - he's black?

juuuuust kidding

We need more black/asian buddy action movies. Like Drive (1998, not 2011).

I just wanted an excuse to mention Drive, everyone check it out.

Edit: Forgot she does not like black people. There is no chance.

I am still not sure which is more likely, was she dicked over by a black guy or is she craving to be dicked over by a black guy. I knew a girl who said she liked black guys but she once said some racist shit that was more racist than what Jenny said, i showed some other black guys i know who knew her and we laughed at how racist it was. Like uncle ruckus level shit.

This. (At least the initial hype). Go from never seeing golf on sports center besides a small 5 min segment before/after majors to sports center becoming tiger central when he blows up?

Tebow is another example of this, all you have to do is look at the early careers of certain black QB's who had awful accuracy but made things happen with their legs. Vick? (pre legal issues, winning many games at the last second and being the first QB to beat GreenBay in Greenbay in the playoffs?) Athleticism/talent. Tebow? Clutch/smart/leadership/toughness.

Acknowledging race affects something doesn't make you racist /facepalm.

Edit: In regards to Floyd. He is just a real life troll who enjoys pissing people off even if he doesn't believe 1% of what he is saying. Everyone mad he didn't get more negative press/everyone who was offended play right into his hands.

Its like that for the rest of America as well.

The only thing that would have made those tweets more ridiculous was if she had said, "I'm not racist, and I have black friends, but..." and then made those tweets.

who is gonna punish floyd?

How about the people that pay to watch his dumbass fight? or the boxing commissions that give him a licence to box in their states? The media and public at large were more than happy to just sweep it all under the rug after he "apologized". Had pressure been put on, the same way it was for idiots like Don Imus, maybe he doesn't have such an easy time getting approved the next time around.

why is john mayer involved in this?

''PLAYBOY: Do black women throw themselves at you?
John Mayer: I don’t think I open myself to it. My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a fuckin’ David Duke cock. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick.''

Sweep it under the rug?

You clearly don't understand how many people dislike Floyd. He is known as a bigot, racist and a loud mouth.

Even if a boxer was the leader of the KKK it is not a valid reason to deny them a licence.

lol why on earth would a boxing commission deny him a license for saying that?

It's not true entirely. The attention is because of his race but no one has ever scored that much in their first 5 games ever. To say that black guys do it all the time is idiotic and false.

You see no difference in calling someone yellow, requesting that they cook their stereotypical food, and eat something that they stereotypically eat and calling someone a nigger, calling the whole culture ugly and stupid, calling someone UNHUMAN.. so on and so on. Get the fuck out of here with that noise.

Yea, got caught up trying too hard to be clever. Nowhere near what this woman is saying.

Only if you take what that part and ignore the rest. He is saying that he is a good player but others have produced similar numbers and not received such hype.

He is implying that race is the reason he is blowing up so much. It is not to diminish his accomplishments but more of commentary on the behavior of the media.

Now, is he wrong? Probably. From what I hear, Lin has done something only a few have done so far. But as someone who doesn't follow sports, my perspective is that I was hit with his race, the fact that he is from harvard and the fact that he played basketball. I needed to research to find out which team he played for and the stats.

Floyd has said some dumb, racist shit, no doubt, but he sort of stopped short of condemning an entire race to genocide and referring to them collectively as sub-human apes. Floyd was maliciously playing on stereotypes, which is obviously wrong, but Jenny Hyun was outright advocating genocide and bringing up extremely racist and damaging historical imagery and actions, i.e. slavery, low intelligence, "ape", etc. They're not quite equivalent.

But the media fervor is because of his race. Lets not get it twisted. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all.

Dude deserves it and he is a great player. What makes it even more amazing is he is beating the odds. Thats why the media has grabbed onto him. People break records all the time but thats not really why hes been dominating the headlines.

which is surreal and amusing but not racist.

That's actually one I stayed well clear of because I honestly can't decide whether I think it is or it isn't. Also, some of his best friends are Dave Chappelle.

Yeah but the problem is that it's not something you can ever actually prove. Like, you could do a media study and ask sporting journalists whether they care about his race -- and I can tell you right now that every single white sporting journalist would quickly say "no of course not" then chuckle nervously -- but beyond that all it does is call the rest of his achievements into question.

Keep in mind that I'm not denying that the media can fixate on public figures for the wrong reasons at times, and race is definitely one of those reasons which happens more often than others, but I just think that making broad generalisations about it lacks class.

I think this thread has run its course and is now headed places I don't want to go.

Have fun guys, and try to remember that we can all agree on ponies.

What the hell are you talking about, you get the fuck out of here. I was pointing out how stupid it is that some nobody gets more reaction for being an idiot, than Floyd Money Mayweather, the biggest name in boxing.

Simple-mindedness continues the breed in this world, such a shame.

Don't know her or the group, but not like it matters - the fact that this idiot thinks like this says enough.

Why is this thread so long?

koreans are racist.
