Yeah me too. Some of it is very high. But they have some nice rare stuff.
Do any of you guys think in years to come Dani Alves could go down as a Barca great? Messi plays much better when he is on the field and everything seems to flow better.

I think it's amazing that even with a 3 time Ballon d'Or winner your team still has other equally important players. Best team in the world.
Take out Messi and Xavi wins the Ballon d'Or every time with C.Ronaldo in 2nd. Iniesta in 3rd.

Take out Messi and Ronaldo is god. Xavi and Iniesta's input is over exaggerated. It is easy to put in a pass that will be picked up and scored by Gods gift to football. Messi gets into space that no other footballer can. It isn't a coincidence that most of Xavi and Iniesta's assists are to Messi.
Take out Messi and Real has the edge over Barcelona. Take out Messi and Mourinho doesn't have to dedicate 3 players to watch one player.
Ronaldo would have won every Ballon d'Or since his first if Messi was out of the picture. I don't see how anyone could possibly argue against that.

Shorter legs, lighter. It seems to me that the players who age better are usually pretty short. Graig Bellamy seems as quick as he ever was at 32, even if his knees are going.

25 assists last season, 21 so far this year, if he isn't scoring his creating. Arguably as good as Xavi when finding that killer through ball past the defense.
Messi is more important to this teams success than Xavi is imo. Xavi is a great player and play maker but Messi can does his job well if Xavi isn't playing, without Messi the team doesn't pose anywhere near the threat they do with him. I love Xavi but with Fabregas playing as good as he is and slotting into the team well, I think Xavi will be play a less prominent role than he did the last couple of years.

Wayne Veysey wrote an article saying Arsenal won't sell Van Persie for any price this summer. Apparently that is Gazidis' stance because by the time his contract is up he will be 30, and Real Madrid and Barcelona are not going want to sign him then.

I hate and despise Wenger's stance on player value. He won't buy anyone for £30m+ because he feels no one is worth that much.
Really? In the time he's been Arsenal manager, those 15years, the commercial deals and ticket prices haven't doubled at the very least? They've close to tripled.
It makes complete sense for a £10m player in 2001 to be worth £30m in 2012. After all we pay to watch the players. The commercials reflect that. There is some price inflation from the Oligarch's and Sovereign Wealth Funds inserting themselves but that's primarily on the remuneration side.
He's simply an embarrassment of a manager. His pathetic and demented rantings about the state of the football economics, forever forecasting a "doom" (which is not coming since a doom would require a dramatic fall in demand) since 2004 are cringe worthy.
He has already destroyed his legacy and will be laughed out the door.

He felt the best way to get back into the Brazil national team was to go home and play there. It seemingly has worked.
You cannot just spend your way out of trouble though. I agree Arsenal do need some big players but they don't have to come at a big price. Look at Ox, he is a great player and cost what, 12 million? Now I do get what you are saying. I wish Arsenal could compete with other clubs in bringing players like Silva, Mata, Yaya etc in but it can't help Wenger that the guys up top are daft and don't seem to care.
